Jeffrey Rush was born on June 6, 1951, but remained a little-known Australian actor until 1997. In 1997, he received an Oscar for Best Actor for his role as a pianist in the film The Shining, and after this award, which unexpectedly brought him fame, Rush starred in several expensive Hollywood productions, among which one can mention the film Les Miserables (based on the novel by Victor Hugo), where his partners were Liam Neeson and Uma Thurman.
