Pavel Oganezovich Arsenov was born on September 5, 1936 in Tbilisi. He studied at the Geological and Exploration Institute, worked at the Georgian Film Studio, at the Moscow Popular Science Film Studio. Pavel Oganezovich Arsenov was born on September 5, 1936 in Tbilisi. He studied at the Geological and Exploration Institute, worked at the Georgian Film Studio, at the Moscow Popular Science Film Studio. In 1963, Pavel Arsenov graduated from the directorial faculty of VGIK, where he studied in the studio of Grigory Roshal. While still studying, he worked as an assistant director on the set of the film “The Adventures of Crosh”, which was staged by Heinrich Ohanisyan. In the cinema, the director made his debut in 1963 with the diploma novel “Sunflower”, the entered Valmanac “Youth”. The first full-length film Arsenov was the film “Save the drowning”, released in 1968. Two years later, in 1970, he directed the lyrical comedy “The Deer King” based on Carlo Gozzi’s fairy tale, then shot pictures for children and youth. A great success with the audience was the film “Do not part with your loved ones”. In 1980, the television screens released a multi-part film "Guest from the future", based on the works of science fiction writer Kir Bulychev and telling about the adventures of Alice Selezneva. This film immediately won the love of young (and not only young) viewers, and a few years later Pavel Arsenov put the film “Lilovy Ball”, in which the same heroine acted. The last work of the director was the film based on the fairy tale by A. Volkov “The Wizard of the Emerald City”.
