"A Guest from the Future" a series beloved by many generations of viewers, called
"Big Change" And many other jobs. And this can be explained, because even as a schoolboy he staged performances and scenes together with the future film director Andrei Smirnov, thereby determining his acting future.
Mikhail Kononov graduated from the Shchepkin Theatre School in 1963 and was then invited to the Maly Theatre. But he did not turn out to be a theatrical actor for the reason that the theater management heard about the upcoming shooting of the actor in the cinema, which was extremely disapproved. In 1968, he left the theater forever.
The film career of Mikhail Kononov began in his student years with the film
"Our mutual friend." . In this tape, the viewer saw the actor as a decent, unusually kind, simple guy. And this type is seen in many of his works.
The peak of fame of Mikhail Kononov falls on the 70-80-ies, when he was especially much filmed, and not only in “adult cinema”, but also in children’s films. Who doesn’t remember movies like this?
"Finist-Clear Falcon" .
"While the clock strikes" .
The Almanzor Rings ? And not in all films, the actor got the main roles, but the supporting roles in these films are impossible to imagine without him. However, the actor himself considers his most successful work a small role of Thomas in the drama of Andrei Tarkovsky.
Andrey Rublev. .
In the late 80s, Mikhail Kononov less often starred in films, and in the 90s with his participation came out only a few films:
The Feasts of Belshazzar, or the Night with Stalin .
etc. The actor refuses many offers, since he could not devote his work to TV series, clips and “all this kind of nonsense.”
In the late 90s, he sells his apartment in Moscow and begins construction of a house in the suburbs. There he also grows vegetables and fruits to somehow feed himself and his wife.
Mikhail Kononov in 1989 was awarded the title “Honored Artist of the RSFSR”, and in 1999 he was awarded the title “People’s Artist of Russia”.
Mikhail Kononov died in 2007 of a heart attack at the age of 67.
