On July 1, 1909, one of the most talented actors, Sergo Zakariadze, was born in Baku. After graduating from general education school, he entered the Faculty of Philology of Tbilisi University, subsequently successfully completing it.

In 1926, Sergo began working at the Rustaveli Theatre as a support staff member. He began his career with an unexpected joke while playing the role of King Bah-Bahá in the children's fairy tale Chincharaka.
From 1928 to 1930 he was an actor of the theater in Kutaisi, organized by K. Mardzhinishvili, then moved to the city of Tiflis together with the theater. After working for several years, Zakariadze decided to return to the Rustaveli Theater. From 1955 to 1960, Sergo Zakariadze conducted pedagogical work on stage speech at the Theatre Institute of Georgia.
During his creative life, Sergo received many awards, the first of which was the Stalin Prize for his role in the film.

The actor stood out for his deep intelligence, perseverance and courage. He always found ways to achieve his goals. He successfully managed not only comedic, but also dramatic roles. In his repertoire, both the epic Bagration and the eel man from the film “George Saakadze” coexisted. However, roles with a sharp character began to give the actor only in the last years of activity. Sergo was able to give his characters colorful and juicy features, he understood what depth of character is and how to achieve it.
In the early years of sound cinema, he played roles that can only be played on acting intuition, temperament and inspiration.
On April 12, 1971, the talented actor died.
