Francesco Sparanero. Francesco Spartanero (better known as Franco Nero) was born in Palermo on November 23, 1941. Since 1965 he has been one of the leading actors in Italian cinema. Without an inner shudder, agreeing to play non-heroic or complex psychological roles, Unnerves for absolute villains (“Die Hard-2”, “Querellé”). Nero’s most famous roles in American cinema are perhaps Abel in John Huston’s The Bible and Sir Lancelot in Joshua Logan’s Camelot. As a result of a romantic relationship with Vanessa Redgrave during the filming of Camelot, Franco Nero had a son Carlos.
