In addition to William, the family has four daughters. One of them is a colonel of the United States Air Force. After graduation, William entered Farmingdale State University, graduating in 1978. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, William decided to change his profession and try himself in cinema. He studied acting at the New York Academy of Dramatic Art.
William made his debut in 1987 in the TV series How the World Turns. Fichtner’s early works include the films Ramon (1990), the biographical drama Malcom X (1992) and the historical drama film Televictorina (1994), where he played cameo roles.
In 1995, William appeared in the fantastic films “Strange Days” and “Virtuality”, in the crime film “Fight” played the role of a banker and starred in the episodic role of Tom Dundee in the film “There Inside”.
Later, William played in the film “Albino Alligator”, in the fantastic film “Contact”, in the film “Croller coaster and in the blockbuster “Armagedon”.
In 1999, William, along with Demi Moore, starred in the dramatic film Two Lives and played in the crime film Ecstasy, in 2000 he took part in the films Endsville and Utopim Monu!.
In 2001, William Fichtner joined the cast of The Perfect Storm, starred in Pearl Habor, What Could Be Worse?, and Black Hawk. The following year, the actor starred in Equilibrium, a fantastic thriller and in the dramatic film Julie Goes Home. Later, William Fichtner played in many films of different genres: in comedies, dramas, comedy dramas and thrillers.
Since 1998, the actor has been married to Kimberly Kalil. He was previously married to Betsy Adeem, but they split in 1996. William Fichtner has two children. /
