Janusz Gajos was born on September 23, 1939 in Dabrova Gornitsa (Poland). In 1957-1959 he worked at the Children's Puppet Theatre in Begin under the direction of Ian Dorman. In 1965 Janusz Gajos graduated from the famous Lodz Acting School, in November of the same year he made his debut on the theater stage and until 1970 he played at the Yarage Theatre in Lodz. Janusz Gajos was born on September 23, 1939 in Dabrova Gornitsa (Poland). In 1957-1959 he worked at the Children's Puppet Theatre in Begin under the direction of Ian Dorman. In 1965 Janusz Gajos graduated from the famous Lodz Acting School, in November of the same year he made his debut on the theater stage and until 1970 he played at the Yarage Theatre in Lodz. The actor played the first role in the movie while studying, after which director Konrad Nalecki invited him to the lead role in the television series Four Tankers and a Dog, the first series of which came out in 1966. The military serial film immediately gained huge popularity, and the role of Janek made Gajos a “star” not only in Poland, but also in the USSR. And this role became for the actor "curse", almost "professional death". But Gaios was able to break out of the “cage” of one job and over time demonstrated that he is an actor multifaceted and talented. In 1970, he moved to Warsaw, where he played in theaters - Comedy, Polish, Square, Drama. In 1977, Gajos was awarded the prize of the Gdansk Film Festival for his role in the film “The Millionaire”, then brilliantly played in the films “Interrogation” and “Man of Iron”. Since 1984, he has been performing at the Warsaw People’s Theatre; the actor has successfully performed in productions of the Television Theatre. Among his theatrical roles, awarded prizes and highly appreciated by theater specialists and the public, he is in the “Bench” by A. Gelman, Kochkarev in “Marriage” by N. Gogol, Carter in “Sympathico” by Sam Sheppard, Svidrigailov in “Crime and Punishment” by F. Dostoevsky, Astrov in “Uncle Van” by A. Chekhov, etc. A milestone for the actor was the role of von Horvath in the television production of Kazimierz Kurz “Hollywood Tales” (1986), which revealed the creative range of Guyosh and allowed to finally break the stereotypes of the actor’s perception. In the future, he continued with equal success to play on stage and act, among the films of different genres with his participation - "Decalogue-4" and "Three colors: white" by K. Keslevsky, "Escape from the cinema "Freedom" by V. Marchevsky, "Extradition", "Fux", "The Last Mission", "Dogs", "I Stolen", "Chopin. Desire for Love", etc. Since 2004 Janusz Gajos has been teaching at the acting department of the Lodz Film School.
