Michel Blanc is a French film actor, screenwriter and director.
Blanc’s film debut was the small role of a summer camp teacher in the film The Best Way to Walk. National recognition came to the actor only in 1978. It was then that he starred in the comedy “tanned”, which had phenomenal success both in France and abroad. The film’s director Patrice Lecomte shot several sequels of the comedy, after which he worked with Blanc on the film “Monsieur Ir”.
Lecomte had a competitor - Michel noticed the director Bertrand Blieu. In 1982, he offered him a role in The Evening Dress, for which Blanc won the Cannes Film Festival Award. The actor sincerely and piercingly played the role of a man on the verge of despair, and the face of his hero, distorted by the grimace of suffering, crashed into the hearts of the audience for a long time.
In the future, the actor achieved world recognition thanks to his participation in the film Escort “Ready Dress” directed by Robert Altman, where his partners on the set were Sophia Loren, Kim Basinger and Marcello Mastroianni. The directors liked Blanc’s ability to reincarnate, portraying tragic and comic heroes.
In 1984, he starred as a director, making the film “Go from Here”. Soon he managed to shoot one of the masterpieces of French cinema – the movie “Great Fatigue”. After this work, he began to be compared to the cult director Woody Allen.
In 2005, Blanca once again expected success thanks to the painting.
"You are so beautiful" . The actor managed to become a good director who does not need assistants. However, the film “Grand Dukes”, in which Michelle took part, was once again shot by Patrice Leconte.
One of Blanc’s last films is the film “Escort”, which was the work of a mature master. Film critics began to draw parallels with the film
"Celebrity" Directed by Woody Allen.
