Viktor Nikolaevich is a native of Minsk, he was born on October 8, 1956. Music entered his life from childhood thanks to his parents, his mother – a talented pianist, piano teacher, and his military father, who invariably treated classical music with trepidation and love and taught the same son. His contribution to the musical education of Victor and made his aunt-concertmaster, who worked in the United States and often sent relatives rare in the country records and notes.
After completing his education at the special music school at the Belarusian Conservatory, which he graduated from the externate, the aspiring composer (and by that time Kopytko was already clearly aware that he wanted to study composition), he went to Leningrad, to the conservatory. There, by the time of its graduation in 1982, he was formed as a composer of serious and applied music - in addition to writing serious genres, he began to write music for performances and for cinema.
Since 1978, he has cooperated with the film studio Belarusfilm, as well as with Lentelefilm, and later with a number of other companies, including foreign ones. He owns music for the TV show “Uncle Vanya”, films
