Russian cinematographer and documentary director Pavel Kostomarov is considered one of the most talented professionals of our time. He was born on November 22, 1975 in Moscow. Pavel graduated from the Faculty of Operator at VGIK and began to improve as a specialist. As an operator, Pavel Kostomarov had the opportunity to work with such directors as Sergey Loznitsa, Vitaly Mansky, Alexei Uchitel, Alexander Rastorguev, Alexei Popogrebsky. Pavel Kostomarov proved himself magnificently as a director.

Pavel Kostomarov proved himself magnificently as a director. In particular, in co-authorship with the famous Swiss documentarian Antoine Cattin, he shot non-fiction films “Peaceful Life”, “Transformer”, “Mother”, awarded prizes at prestigious film festivals. In 2009, Kostomarov’s film “Two Together” was released, and in 2010 – a picture.

Pavel Kostomarov was awarded the prize of the 60th Berlin Film Festival “Silver Bear” for his outstanding contribution to art in the film by Alexei Popogrebsky “How I spent this summer”. I must say, the film itself received the main prize of the 54th London Film Festival.
In 2010, at the Yerevan International Film Festival “Golden Apricot”, the film directed by Pavel Kostomarov “Two” was awarded the Grand Prix of the festival in the nomination “Best Documentary Film”.
