While studying in high school, Leonid became interested in the KVN movement, actively played in the school team. In parallel, he participated in amateur artistic activities: he performed in the national theater.
In 1986 he was drafted into the army. For two years, Kuprido served in the GRU special forces, and when he was demobilized, he got a job on television as a sports commentator, then became an editor of sports and entertainment programs.
In parallel, he entered the Belarusian State University, the Faculty of Journalism. Graduated in 1995. Participated in the performances of the KVN BSU team in the major league. He wrote scripts for his team and others.
Since 2002, Leonid began to come up with ideas for series and write scripts for them. He was the head of the production center "LEAN-M", then went to a similar structure "Korstafilm".
As part of a team of authors, he created ideas and wrote scripts for such television series as Soldiers (2004), Accelerated Aid (1999), Cadetry (2006), Sea Soul (2007), Ensign (2007), and the series.
Fog (2010), "Margosha" and "Margosha-2" (2009). He also hosts a version of the Brain Ring game on Belarusian television.
Leonid is married to former actress Lyubov Artimovich. They have three children: two sons and a daughter.
