Artem Antonov was born in 1978 in Leningrad. In 1997 he graduated from the script-directing department of the film school-studio "Kadr" at the film studio "Lenfilm", where he studied in the studio of A.D.Alexandrov. In 2004, Artem Antonov graduated from the St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television, where he studied at the workshop of I. Maslennikov and N. Koshelev. Artem Antonov was born in 1978 in Leningrad. In 1997 he graduated from the script-directing department of the film school-studio "Kadr" at the film studio "Lenfilm", where he studied in the studio of A.D.Alexandrov. In 2004, Artem Antonov graduated from the St. Petersburg State University of Film and Television, where he studied at the workshop of I. Maslennikov and N. Koshelev. His educational works were awarded prizes at various student film festivals. Artem Antonov’s diploma picture “Capital ambulance” (2003) received the Grand Prix “Perpetuum mobile” and the prize “For the best feature film” of the III film festival “Beginning” (2004), was awarded the main prize in the program “Debut-Kinotavr”. Short Meter and Centaur Prize for Best Debut at the Message to Man Film Festival. He also took part in the out-of-competition program Criticism Week at the Cannes Film Festival. In 2005, Artem Antonov staged his debut full-length film Polumgla, also marked by a number of professional awards: the prize of the president of the festival Window to Europe (2005) "For Debut"; the Grand Prix for the best first film "Iris of Tomorrow" at the New International Montreal Film Festival; and the diploma of the film festival "Youth" in Kiev.
