After several years in New York, Meekens moved to Los Angeles. At first, he worked as a lighting artist on projects such as the miniseries 500 Nations, starring Kevin Costner, as well as the video clip of musician Roger Waters “What God Wants”, former bassist of Pink Floyd, who was nominated for the Grammy for best video.
