One of the modern Danish directors Christopher Boe was born in Runstead Küst on May 7, 1974. Immediately after school, Boe studied the history of American cinema. Christopher Bohe continued his studies at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
His film career began in 1997, when Boe was enrolled in a directing course at the Danish National Film School. During his studies, he not only learned the basics of directorial work and the features of the modern film industry, but also created a creative group “Mr. Boe & Co”. During this time, he began making short films, including Obsession (1999), Virginity (2000), Worry (2001), which later became parts of the trilogy.
On the shooting of full-length films Boe moved in 2003, shooting the debut film Reconstruction (2003). After that, he worked on three more films, of which the most popular was the film Everything Will Be Okay Again (2010). Film critics call the film a “pseudo-thriller”, ambiguously assessing it in terms of plot and originality. Ebbe Iversen of Berlinske Tidende notes that the director misleads the public by calling the work a thriller when the film itself is banal and predictable. However, actor Zlatko Buric notes the light and playful style of the picture and estimates it at four stars out of five, which is a rather high rating.
Despite the small number of films that the Danish director worked on, Christopher Bohe won several awards. Among them, the FIPRESSI award in the nomination “Best Director of the Year”, “Golden Camera”, received at the Cannes Film Festival for the first time.
