Graduated from Zaporozhye College of Mechanical Engineering (1930), acting and Director of the Kiev Institute of Theatre Art (1935), postgraduate studies of this institute (1937). In 1935-1937 - actor and director of the I.Y.Franko Kyiv Drama Theatre, in 1937-1941 - pedagogue of the Institute of Theatre Art (Kyiv). Participant of the Great Patriotic War. In 1942-1956 - director of a number of theaters of Zaporozhye, Voroshilovgrad, Vinnitsa, Kiev. Since 1956 - director of the A. Dovzhenko Kyiv Film Studio.
