Russian actor, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation (1994) Sergey Polezhayev was born on October 19, 1924. He met his adulthood during the Great Patriotic War, while serving in the Navy he was wounded. In the movie he made his debut in the episodic role of a staff officer in the film directed by Ian Fried “Baltic Glory” (1957). After graduation, he served in the theater, and in 1967 he entered the Lenfilm studio as an actor. The range of Sergey Polezhayev’s roles is rich and colorful.
