Toni Braxton, American singer, actress, songwriter, was born on October 7, 1967 in Severn, Maryland. Braxton is known for her works in the genres of rhythm and blues, pop music and soul. The total circulation of the sold records of the singer exceeds 40 million copies.
Tony began her musical career in the 1980s when she and her four sisters formed The Braxtons. The 1990 single "Good Life" attracts producers Kenneth Edmons and Antonio Reid. On their label “LaFace” in 1993, the singer released her first album “Toni Braxton”. The disc takes the first place of the national chart, wins three Grammy awards, and the circulation is eight times higher than necessary to obtain platinum status.
Braxton's second studio album, Secrets, was released in 1996. The song "You're Makin' Me High" climbs to the top of the American singles chart, the album itself reaches the second position. The second single was "Un-Break My Heart". This song by Diane Warren is the most famous of Tony’s repertoire. "How Could an Angel Break My Heart" and "I Love Me Some Him" Worldwide sales of the album exceeded 20 million.
In 1998, Braxton declared bankruptcy, but this does not prevent her from starting an acting career, performing in the musical Beauty and the Beast. In early 2000, the singer released the single "He Wasn't Man Enough", preceding the release of the third studio album "The Heat". The album debuts at number two on Billboard 200.
The fourth disc of the singer “More Than a Woman” was a commercial failure, the result is a break with the label “Arista Records” and the conclusion of a contract with “Blackground Records”. Despite this, the fifth album does not receive enough promotional support. In 2007, Brakton left the label. In May 2010, the album “Pulse” was released. The first single is "Yesterday"./
