The band changed their name to Destiny’s Child and recorded their debut track Killing Time, which later became the soundtrack to the album. Men in Black , published in 1997. In 1998, Destiny’s Child released their self-titled debut album Destiny’s Child, featuring Germaine Dupree, Cory Rooney, Rob Fusari and Wyclef Jean. "Destiny's Child" gets fan acclaim and goes platinum. The song "No, No, No" occupies the top position in the charts Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks Billboard. The 1999 compilation "The Writing's on the Wall" brings the band a tremendous success: it hits the Billboard 200 in sixth place and on the first position of the R&B and pop charts in the United States, thanks to the compositions "Bills, Bills, Bills" and "Bug A Boo".
In early 2000, there was a change in the composition of the group – Michelle Williams and Farrah Franklin came to Knowles and Rowland.
