Steve Buscemi was born on December 13, 1958 in New York City to an Italian father and an Irish mother. While in school, Steve showed an interest in school theater, so after graduating from Wellie Stream Central on Long Island, he entered the College of Liberal Arts in Garden City, from where he was expelled in his first year of study.
For several years, Steve had to earn extra money wherever he had to pay for his studies at the Lee Strasberg Institute, performing in various theater productions.
