In 1986, Patrick Fiori was invited to Paris to participate in the program “Les habits du dimanche”. This show became the starting point for the career of Patrick Fiori: thanks to this program, the young singer was invited to accompany Gilbert Montagnier for the next year on his tour.
Marie-France Brier, impressed by Patrick Fiori’s voice, asked him to represent France at the 1993 Eurovision Song Contest. She commissioned singer François Valeria to write a song about Corsica, and Patrick Fiori performed it in Ireland in front of millions of viewers on May 15, 1993.
Patrick Fiori made a big breakthrough in 1997, when he was able to get an audition for the famous songwriter Eddie Marnay. Stunned by Patrick Fiori’s unique voice, Eddy Marnay introduced him to fellow musicians Richard Cocciante and Luke Plamondon, who were recruiting actors for their new musical Notre-Dame de Paris. Patrick Fiori auditioned and was immediately cast as Phoebe. The musical "Notre-Dame de Paris" exceeded all expectations of Cocciante and Plamondon and was a tremendous financial success. This musical became a powerful impetus for the development of the career of Patrick Fiori, immediately making him, as well as his Canadian colleagues Gara and Daniel Lavoie, a star of the first magnitude.
