Cypress Hill is a rapcore and hip-hop collective founded in 1988 in Los Angeles.
The group's founders and members are: MC B-Real (real name Louis Freese), whose birth date was June 2, 1970, DJ Muggs (real name Lawrence Muggerud), born January 28, 1968, and MC Sen Dog, real name Senen Reyes, born November 20, 1965. Since 1994, Percussionist Eric Bobo.
The band's debut album was released in 1991, received the same name "Cypress Hill", and sold two million copies. Two years later, in 1993, the collection Black Sunday was released, the circulation of which amounted to more than 3 million copies. In support of Black Sunday, the band tours California, taking part in celebrations and parties, performing in music clubs and pubs, while preparing material for their next album. Returning to Los Angeles, the group practically locks itself in the recording studio, and in 1995 the disc “Temples Of Boom” was released, which immediately after the release takes honorable places in the top ten on MTV.
Multiple "Cypress Hill" tracks recorded with teams
In 1996, the band left Sen Dog to join SX-10 and was replaced by DJ Scandalous. Having released the number album IV in 1998, the musicians announce a sabbatical, and everyone is engaged in solo projects. In 2000, the members of "Cypress Hill" again come together and release the collection "Skull & Bones", which hits the tops of "Bilboard" and MTV. Musicians don’t stop participating in other projects. Creativity of the collective “Cypress Hill” still has a great influence on young groups performing both hip-hop and rapcore.
