James Earl Jones (real name - Todd Jones) was born on January 17, 1931 in the United States, in the city of Arcabatla (Mississippi). He studied drama at the University of Michigan and New York at the American Theatre Wing. The gifted black actor won recognition on the New York scene, successfully performing diverse roles.
