Roman was born in Moscow, in a family of employees.
He became an actor at the call of his heart. It was this call that led him to the Moscow Art Theatre School, where in 1990 Roman graduated from the course of Oleg Tabakov.
From 1990 to 1994, Roman served in the Tabakov Theatre, where he played: Meer Wolf (“Sailor’s Silence”, 1990, O. Tabakov), Osip (“Inspector”, 1992, S. Gazarov), Vasilich (“Star Hour local time”, 1992, V. Mashkov), Rukosuev (“Provincial anecdotes”, 2002, A. Marin).

In the Moscow Art Theatre named after A. P. Chekhov, Roman plays the roles of: Father Bartholomew (Kabala Svyatosh, 2001, A. Shapiro), Guard Durand (Antigone, 2001, T. Chkheidze), Malyar (Crime and Punishment, 2002, E. Nevezhina), Non-resident (The Last Victim, 2003, Y. Eremin).
The novel starred in the films: “Time is money” E. Lungin as Ilya Kolesnikov (2003), “Marfa and her puppies” Y. Morozov, “The Long Farewell” S. Ursuliak in the role of Photographer (2004).
In 2004, Roman was awarded the Tabakov Theatre Support and Development Fund prize for his participation in the play When I Died.
In the near future, the films “Apartment Question” by Yuri Morozov will be released, where Roman played the role of a Tourist and the film “Fraudsters” by V. Moskalenko.
