Grigory Dobrygin was born in the small village of Rybachy (now Vilyuchinsk), near Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, on February 17, 1986. Before the fourth grade, on the initiative of his parents, he moved to Zelenograd near Moscow to enter the Academy of Choreography at the Bolshoi Theatre. Parents predicted his son a career as a famous dancer. But Gregory himself did not share this view of the future: “The ballet gave me a lot of experience and helped to educate me, but I never wanted to do it.”
After parting with the ballet, Grigory Dobrygin studied at a Protestant seminary for two years, and after it, he studied at a studio school at the Moscow Art Theater for one year. Such a motley process of training ended in 2010 with the receipt of a diploma of RATI-GITIS at the directorial faculty in the acting group of the workshop of O. Kudryashov.
While studying at GITIS, Grigory Dobrygin played in six graduation performances, and at the student festival "Your Chance" he was noticed by the assistant director A. Pogrebsky. Grigory passed the casting, screen tests and got into the “big movie”. The first fame and fame came after the filming of the films “Black Lightning” (2009), “Solo on a minefield” (2010) and “How I spent this summer” (2010).
In total, the young Russian actor has already seven feature films, the latest of which are Atomic Ivan, Blooddrop (both 2011) and, most recently, the continuation of his debut film Black Lightning 2 (2012).
Despite his youth and short acting experience, Grigory Dobrygin is the winner of “Silver Bear” (2010) and “White Elephant” (2010) for best actor in the film “How I spent this summer”. He entered the “Top 10 Discoveries of the Year” of the Life-Star website and was awarded the “Golden Eagle” award from the company “Mega background” – for the sharpest rise in his career. /
