Jack Gleeson is an Irish film actor. Jack Gleeson studied at the Independent Theatre Workshop from the age of seven, he managed to pass the examinations in Speech & Drama and Solo Acting with honors, in 2008 he was twice nominated for the prestigious “Mastery” award of the Leinster School of Music and Drama. Jack Gleeson subsequently enrolled at Gongaza College in Dublin.
Jack began his career as a film actor in Irish short films in 2002. He first tried his hand in the short film Day, in 2003 he performed a role in the film Fishtale, in 2004 he played in short films Tom Waits Made Me Cry, Shaving the Baby and Oranges.
Subsequently, Gleeson played in minor roles in the sensational blockbuster Batman: The Beginning directed by Christopher Nolan, where his partners on the set were Liam Neeson and Christian Bale, as well as in the horror film.

In 2009, Jack got a supporting role in the Canadian-Irish film Rainbow Shining, and in 2010 he starred in All Good Children, produced in the UK, Ireland and Denmark. He also had the chance to diligently rehearse the role of Faust in the production of Faust at Gongaza College, where he studied in the sixth year.
In the summer of 2009, it was announced that Jack Gleeson would play Prince Joffrey Baratheon in a television series.
