Once upon a time, the theme of ninja was very popular and in demand in cinema. Even in Hollywood in the 80s and 90s, there were attempts to shoot something similar on this topic. But it turned out not so bad, but far from the ideal. In 2009, it was decided to revive this topic.
As a child, Raiju came to the Ozunu clan where deadly killers are trained. But having learned all the secrets of ninja art, he betrays his clan and goes underground for many years. In the wake of the ancient clans is Europol agent Mika Coretti. The closer it gets to the truth, the greater the danger it faces.
This is one of my favorite Wachowski movies, not counting The Matrix. I saw it for the first time in the cinema when it came out. To say that I was delighted is to say nothing. I’ve seen a lot of ninja movies, Hollywood and not, but none of them even stood next to the work of James McTeague.
Plot. The story seems simple, but at the same time interesting. The film begins with a strong enough introduction for the viewer to immediately understand what awaits him next. Next comes the acquaintance with the main character (well, here as always according to the template) and the tie. Everything that is not agreed in the first part of the film will be revealed in a more complete way. The further narrative consists of a mixture of action and detective. And all this is built very harmoniously and balanced. In the end, everything goes into pure action. But not always realistic. The finale is similar to surrealism. That doesn't fit into the overall style.
Special effects. They're gorgeous. Of course, there are no large-scale scenery painted against the background of chromakey or something like that, but I personally liked how the fights are depicted using computer graphics. Not the Matrix, of course, but nothing.
The cast. Despite the fact that in the film I did not find almost any familiar names other than Naomi Harris and Son Gan, caste I liked. I saw many of the cast for the first time, including Rayne, who plays the lead role. However, I can appreciate the acting. She's brilliant. I would especially like to mention Sho Kosugi, who played a teacher and mentor, and, of course, Rain in the lead role. The last one was perfectly in the role. While watching, there was no doubt that he should play the title character. As for Naomi Harris, she also fell into the image perfectly.
In addition to special effects and cast, I think it is worth appreciating the chicly staged combat choreography. If you discard not quite realistic moments, as well as the use of various technical tricks, the action here is still at the highest level. I have never seen such high-quality combat scenes in a long time. Probably from the time of the best films of Jean-Claude Van Damme and the time of the young Jackie Chan. You don't see that much anymore. It is a pity that there will be no sequel.
What can we say about the results? It's really cool. Absolutely everything. Starting from production and camera work, pumping special effects and acting. From everything I've seen on the subject of ninja, this movie is a few heads higher. It’s not just that it’s the latest version.
The mysterious Ozunu ninja clan has trained Raizo since childhood, turning him into a ruthless killer. But the murder of his girlfriend by the clan forced the hero to flee the clan. A few years later, Interpol agent Mika attacks the trail of Raizo in Berlin, after which the clan sends a group of assassins after him.
Director MacTig under the production guidance of the then Wachowski brothers tried to revive the popular ninja theme in the 80s. Invited to the role of villain the main star of this subgenre of those years Sho Kosugi. It was very mediocre.
Hodular script and characters for the action movie is not the biggest drawback. But the production, in general, does not make an impression. The action is shot with a lot of glues and computer graphics, and even for the most part on the screen at this time is dark.
The main role is played by the South Korean singer Rain, who before that lit up with Wachowski in the Speed Racer. He moves well and looks more or less like a militant actor. Yes, to the delight of the female audience often goes without outerwear. Sho Kosugi noticeably aged, and does not appear in the picture so much.
Overloaded with melodramatism and pseudophilosophy, ninja-themed action. Gigabytes of computer graphics and a weak plot make no impression, as well as the staging of combat scenes. It looks like a good one, but it’s very comic.
The wave of the katana--nbsp; whips the blood with a fountain.
Choosing this movie, I knew I was going to get a drive action with decalitres of blood, not a high story with miles of dialogue. I love smart movies, but sometimes the soul asks, I apologize for the lexicon of colloquial speech, rubilov and mochilov, not burdened with wisdom. And from "Ninji Killer," I got them.
Therefore, I did not pay attention to the frivolous plot, pathetically telling about the undercover struggle of the powerful of this world, using a clan of elusive killer ninjas in wars with each other, catching pleasure from the furious choreography of superhumanly fast battles of “shadow” warriors, crumbling their goals into mince. Of course, this does not mean that all screen time will be spent in uninterrupted battles - there is a place for a tragic love story, and the conflict of the loner and society, and the struggle of sensuality against heartlessness. The narration here is a background and an occasion for action, but it copes well with its task, telling an adequate story that is happening, without breaking it in half-word and ending all its lines.
The problem with most militants is that when they talk about serious things, they are ashamed of open violence, which makes the story lose its credibility by looking fake. Someone is enough if the cruelty is somewhere off the scene, but you can not give everything to the imagination, depriving the viewer of primitive emotions of gloating at the death of a particularly vile villain or the shock of the death of innocents. That is why I squandered, for example, Murderer (2015) with a sour expression, despite its deep plot, without feeling the uncompromising war of drug cartels and law enforcement. While the naive stereotypical plot and setting of “Nija-Killers” captured from the first frames, showing that the war with gangs is a dirty bloody work, and not a dusty shootout because of the shelter with the accompanying throwing of snobbish phrases.
This movie became one of the vivid testimonies for me (one of these is “Hardcore” by Naishuller) of how dynamism and masterfully filmed bloody battles displace the not the most interesting plot, thereby saving it.
7 out of 10.
Reiso is widely regarded as the world’s most dangerous ninja killer. In his practice, there were no failures, he performed all the assigned tasks perfectly. When he was very young, he came under the care of the Ozunu clan, a secret organization about which there is too little reliable information for people to believe it really exists. It was there that Reyzo made a high-class killer capable of performing a task of any complexity. But after the murder of his best friend by the Ozunu clan, his conscience begins to torment Reiso and prevents him from continuing to work. In the end, he decides to hide from his secret masters. But clans like Ozuna are not used to letting their people go, too much is known to Reiso to leave him alive.
In the film, the ninja are represented in all its glory. These are shadow warriors appearing out of nowhere, throwing a cloud of surikens, cutting enemies into vinaigrette in the literal sense. From fountains of blood, pieces of bodies and meat, an unprepared viewer can fall into shock.
After watching the movie, I realized it was the best ninja movie I've ever seen. Very well revealed plot and pre-history of the hero, memories give us an understanding of how a young boy made a cold-blooded killer. I will not describe the plot of the film, but I will say that it is worth watching for lovers of martial arts and ninja techniques. The film is a bit cruel in terms of cutting into the meat of the hero’s enemies, and sometimes these scenes are quite disgusting, but this does not interfere with viewing, but on the contrary complements it. Watching the movie and want to scream, cool, wow!! Adrenaline viewing definitely gives. I really liked the film, I advise you to watch it, a very good and dynamic action movie.
As a boy, he was very fond of classic films about ninjas, so he sat down with great delight for watching the picture, because the revival of the genre is noble, but also time-consuming.
Wachowski’s creative interaction as producers with director McTig had already yielded results and was quite watchable, so the hope was quite tangible, and the disappointment was a big surprise.
This is not a film about ninjas, but some kind of confused meat grinder. In the screen with regular regular regularity fly severed body parts, and the amount of blood, or rather used ketchup, is not subject to calculation. Almost all battles are staged in complete darkness, from which it becomes impossible to make out at least something, only small details. Of course, the plot darkness is necessary, it reminds the discouraged viewer many times, that is, simplifying the staging of battles is more important than quality.
In general, the whole action is one solid clown, over which it is a sin not to laugh. Seriously, all these streams of red liquid, not even remotely like blood, the constant appearance of ninjas out of nowhere, like, out of the shadows, all this is very far from the genre classics, as well as the computer graphics used.
I will not recommend the film for viewing, it seemed to me some cartoonish, kind of mockery of the traditions of the genre, which I could not forgive. What are the shurikens that fly so much and with such speed, as if fired from a machine gun? It's just ridiculous.
So I got to my favorite action movie. I believe that films about ninjas, and even the ninjas themselves, have been undeservedly retired in cinema and a little forgotten. But the Wachowski brothers (now sisters), unexpectedly for everyone, with fanfare returned the legendary mercenaries to service.
I usually write a short synopsis for myself, but I won’t do it this time because I have to see it myself. It's really cool. This fertile topic fell into the hands of the right people who dispersed it to the maximum. It is clear that from the creators of the Matrix and do not expect another, but this time they surpassed themselves.
First of all, visual. Everything looks unrealistically beautiful. Starting with footprints in the air from the Surikens, ending with a perfectly staged combat choreography. A little overdone at the end with the possibilities of Sensei, which added a bit of fiction, but it did not spoil the film, but on the contrary even became a highlight.
Plot. Europol agents, investigating a series of murders, suddenly realize they are dealing with an ancient ninja organization whose existence was a legend. Well, the fact that in one frame you can meet ordinary people with automatic rifles at the forefront and mystical shadow wars with katanas and shurikens is not new, let’s say. But thanks to an ingenious storyline, it looks very organic and appropriate for the first time.
The film is incredibly addictive. A great picture only enhances the magic effect of the legendary night samurai familiar with the ancient art of war. Watch everyone!
Something has dragged me lately to review films that I have watched a long time ago and, now, decided to reconsider. Not which movies become entertaining, just because not very successful by the standards of genres. I recently wrote a review for a movie like this: Battle of the Titans. With him everything was clear: serious fantasy type Lord of the Rings or 300 Spartans he did not pull, so someone like me, reacted to the film positively, but as entertainment, no more. Some of them have even gone into criticism. But there are reverses. This is when the movie is meant to be entertaining. Vivid examples are Machete or Piranha. In this case, Ninja killer. Friends, this movie is awesome. A kind of sip of what we haven't been served for too long. For the foreseeable past. A frantic thrashing about mythical ninja clans. Not just entertaining. But the real thing is crumbling.
What is the following term that can be used?
- gallons of blood;
Destroying dozens of people;
Bodies are literally minced;
Healing the deepest wounds with the power of thought and again urinary, treshak.
In this case, the term "beautiful" And let many people, after reading this, think that I am mentally ill I think everyone who appreciated the film will agree with me. This film is not as violent as the Saw. He-- he just has to be like that. I think the most similar films are Planet of Fear and Machete. The most popular of them is Machete, but I think that Ninja-killer much cooler came out.
The director here was James McTeague, "from under the pen" which also came out V - means vendetta. By the way, it was one of the first serious films about a hero in a mask. I don't know if he's in the comics... I think so. But for some reason, he also did not gain popularity, as did the killer ninja. And the movie is also very good. All in all, Mr. McTeague did a master class directing pretty different films. Although he recently shot the action movie Survivor, which, judging by the reviews, to put it mildly, is not very. Must have lost his skill. But that's not the point now.
Now we shall not return for a long time to the same chopped corpses, bloody swords and other murder weapons, which are like a balm for my soul. It is quite interesting that events occurring in real time and flashbacks take about 50/50 screen time. Flashbacks tell about how the main character made so many enemies in his native clan, where he was trained, and in real time the consequences of these “school” quarrels are shown. It looks pretty interesting.
There’s one thing in the movie that makes me laugh every time. This is the laundry moment. The main character, old there his underwear, notices one cute girl and immediately recognizes in her either an ozuna (that was the name of all the soldiers of his former clan), or a representative of some other militant clan. Of course, this is followed by a duel, but its viewer is not shown. And they show how the owner of the laundry (or watchman), hearing the noise, goes to figure out what to what. When he arrives, he sees blood flowing out of one working machine (by the way, why would it flow out?). This only happens with broken cars. That's it! The very fact of this action: the main character naturally soaked his opponent, and then found nothing better than - 1. to cut the body in the trash, 2. to hide the remains in the washing machine, 3. apparently to remove the floor from liters of blood, 4. after everything done start the washing machine. Like, wash your hands, legs, head... well, other things. I wish I could see him doing all that. It must be like an unfaithful wife, hearing the door to the house open, begins to shove everything out of sight in a panic: the lover - into the window, scattered underwear - under the mattress ... Well, in general, fun, kiddo, will not get bored. Therefore, my verdict is expressed in the lower score.
All right, everybody, watch a good movie!

Action films and thrillers are genres in cinematography that mostly do not carry much meaning. They are built on martial arts, fights and a confusing plot, where the final is not so important. Perhaps that’s why I don’t like action movies, considering them one of the weak and unnecessary elements in cinematography. But that doesn’t mean I didn’t like it. For the first time, despite the senseless bullying, the unreality of the plot and the impenetrable characters, I can definitely say that I am in love with this film. Let's go through the pros and cons of this story. Let me start with the most unloved moment in action.
Performance - I will not argue that all films of this genre seem unrealistic and far-fetched. It's not, it's just that it's basically seen in that sense. A person who is not familiar with some kind of martial art is hard to understand why the main character survives even when he is stabbed in all places where possible. I don't know martial arts, I confess right away, which is why I react to all of this. I have no complaints about this film.
Naivety - if you look at it from one side, the plot of the films was known from the very beginning. How many times have we seen this on television? There is a hero who is trying to become stronger. Of course he does. Afterwards, the audience is shown a girl whom he will undoubtedly love. It is enough to watch until this point to find out the further development of the film. That's the biggest drawback in the movie. Seeing everything in advance is not good.
The cast - applaud standing, as they say. Played unrealistically well and even to complain about nothing. Everything is so folded that never in the whole film did it feel like someone is overplaying or not playing. If naivety is the main disadvantage of the story, then the cast is its main plus.
What about the movie itself? Despite the naivety of the story, I like it. I would like to praise actors for their ability to convey normal emotions to the screen. And the final words will only be positive.
" This film may not be the best action movie and thriller, but it’s catchy. Unrealistically delightful, cruel and touching. You empathize with heroes, you worry about them and you rejoice in their victories. This is the end of .
After I saw the movie Ninja, I decided to watch it. Something special and interesting, I did not expect from her. The film turned out the way I imagined it. Bloody fights with ninjas, lots of action and fights. There's blood in this movie. It's painted on the computer, but it looks good. The main character deals with dozens of enemies alone, while remaining whole. I guess I only got a few scratches. In general, before us, a standard bloody action movie with good dynamics. Unfortunately, the storyline was not surprising. It's standard and patterned. The main character is an experienced ninja - a murderer who embarks on the path of truth. Of course, he'll crack down on his enemies and get to his teacher. At the end of the day, the expected final battle. It is worth saying that the music and camera work are performed at the proper level. There's not much to say about actors. Rain didn't look very good in the lead role. It doesn’t matter who plays that role. The main thing is that it's an Asian kid with an athletic build. Naomi Harris and Ben Miles have diluted the cast well. Oh, ninjas are double in their eyes. I won’t say anything special about their game. Randall Duck Kim looked good as a teacher. In fact, that’s all you need to know.
In general, a good choice for a one-time viewing to turn off the brain, and enjoy a good visual picture and action. Don’t expect more from this tape. However, I will give a pretty high rating for visual performance and fights. After all, these films are primarily because of this and watch. Thank you very much.
The Wachowskis produced this film. Recently, their creations have not enjoyed great commercial success. But Cloud Atlas was very good. And this movie isn't bad either. At least in the visual part.
I heard about the twists and turns of the script. Perhaps this is the main drawback of the film. It's pretty crumpled. The first part is pretty clear. There comes a time when something happens in the shadows. And it's not a bloodbath. It's just there at the plot level.
The main character conveyed the image of a ninja. He is collected, strong and has a great sense of humor. Such a classic hero in the style of "Ninja Manuscript". Rayne did his best. I have been training for a long time.
The presence of Sho Kosuga was delighted. He's not an actor, he's a ninja. That's what he said. He also said that he now fits the roles of aging ninjas. He would rather not play anyone at all. Here he acts as an elderly teacher. And he is very formidable. It's wonderful to watch him play.
Fights are good. The weapon is good. The general meaning of the situation is somehow not impressive, but everything looks tolerable. There's even an idea. Basically, it is transmitted through the childhood friend of the main character.
"Tree has no heart"
After watching a few ninja tapes and reading a couple of books, I thought women shouldn’t be doing this. Even the very well prepared and invincible lose their grip and show feelings in the end. This is not acceptable to ninjas.
A film that gives you a breath of air. There aren’t many movies about invisible masters of espionage lately. As Sho Kosugi said, people get bored sometimes, even ninja movies.

We didn’t see this movie in theaters in the city, so we had to wait for the release of the blu-ray. As soon as he was licensed, he immediately bought into the collection. After watching the film, emotions beat over the edge. I was indescribably excited, and I wanted to revisit it again to capture all the details. Details are just super, special effects are just shine, and the staging of fights deserves applause.
The plot is simple, straightforward and without any unexpected plot twists. But I believe that this is not the main thing in such films, the main thing is the visual range, and he is here at the top. The director gives us food for the eyes, and if you need food for the mind, you go to Nolan or von Trier.
The actors were good, Raine especially liked the role, it can be seen that he approached the role seriously, both physically and actorly. I have not seen Naomi Haris before, but she was pleasantly surprised by her game, I hope she will be appreciated and will be invited to the main roles.
Fights are simply fascinating, at the first viewing from some fights the heart froze and the spirit was breathtaking. This film is one of the few in which if the sword is hit on the leg or arm, they fly away in different directions, and not just a cut and the person fights further, slightly limp.
Special effects, as I said before, are fascinating and amazing. Fountains of blood, meat, severed limbs, flying shurikens, as in 3D and much more, which makes you breathless and admire, is present in this film masterpiece.
Conclusion: a great film, one of the best in the genre of action, which is worthy of attention. One of my favorite movies.
10 out of 10
Highest score. Absolutely deserved.
P.S. Especially impressionable and squeamish is better not to watch:
Historically, I started playing computer games before I became interested in cinematography at a more or less intellectual level. And, although I am not a gamer now, I would really like to start with the theme of the game, because this will help me better characterize “Ninju is a killer.”
There is in the classification of different sized toys such a genre as Slasher. "Slash" means cut, cut. This is a kind of action, when the hero with the use of cold weapons must from level to level in large quantities shank the enemies pushing on him (who are usually weaker than him). Drive and sea of blood complete. McTeague's painting is built on about the same scheme.
The plot does not try to shine with special originality, but even against the background of this by no means new story, the writers were able to insert a couple of small but pleasant turns (I am silent: revealing secrets = spoiling the viewing). Lived in a harsh clan ninja boy Reiso with an unclear past, but presumably a large killer future. He walked like a cat, fought like a tiger, but his heart was cold and empty. The spark of the rejection of the cruel system of laws of the clan in his soul dropped a tragic relationship with the daughter of the local sensei (yes, there is a small love line). And now our hero escapes from the “family” and declares war on her, a new round of which will unite his efforts with the brave German special services in the person of the girl Miki (no, with her only professional ties;) and her companion Maslov (yes, the Russians, and quite adequate, are present).
With the support of this simple story, a “meat” extravaganza on cutting off different parts of the body and dashing acrobatic pirouettes unfolds. There are a lot of fights; and in terms of staging, there is really something to see; especially, the use of a curious chain with a blade in action as a weapon is not conceived. A couple of times, however, disappointed that the fighting took place in the dark (again decided to save?) But the ninja and “shadow warriors”, and the film, in general, it did not hurt much.
Perhaps, all this whistling is the main content of the picture, although it is also not worth belittling other components - they are at a fairly high-quality artistic level. However, for example, the actors of the first echelon were not invited to the set. The operator does not forget to give pleasant angles, and the artists definitely made the right decision about the entourage of the final fight in the middle of flames and sparks. Music to the place and works on the atmosphere, the Oscar is not looking, but it does not give itself to be reproached.
As for the ideological component of the picture, which is more logical to express in the review after the plot. It is worth noting that "Ninji..." does not have any pronounced and familiar ideas from the series "Love conquers all / all" or "Do not have a hundred rubles, but have ten irrepressible friends." But this picture has a spirit, in which lies all its content. Spirit does not teach in itself, but seeks to penetrate into your heart. For this film, he is the spirit of a fighter. Strong, persistent, overcoming pain and going their own way, independent of others. Perhaps the main leitmotif of “Ninja...” is to overcome one’s pain, which “begets weakness.” Although in this harsh reality there is a ray of light - the motive of the heart. His beating and simple human warmth brought Reiso out of the womb of cold killers and, as a result, destroyed the cruel clan of assassins.
As a result, we have a strong action movie for an adult audience with dashing action and high-quality production. A film that will find its fans among fans not to ceremony with red splashes and oriental martial arts. A picture without breakthroughs in the genre or weighty moral ideas. But with long blades and a respectful fear of the shadow: what if there is a ninja waiting there?
I used to love these movies about the secretive martial arts of ninjas and their activities. I had a particularly favorite videotape with two paintings, self-made and rewritten from no one knows where. The films were called Revenge of the Ninja and The Ninja Battalion. And in one of them there was a long sex scene ... how not to remember. But the tape has long since disappeared, disappeared or simply thrown away. But the love for ninja films remained, and, mainly, not to American likenesses, but to Japanese and Hong Kong paintings.
This film by James McTig, formerly known for the film “V for Vendetta”, which I really liked by the way, also exploits this theme, however, naturally, in the form of a much more modern, spectacular, energetic and even similar to a comic book. Computer blood there is whipping kiloliters, hands with legs are cut off playfully, sharpened shurikens look like armor-piercing bullets, and katans easily cut the body of the enemy in half. Ninjas are endowed with almost mystical abilities, dissolving in the shadows, healing their own wounds with willpower and training 24 hours a day (except that they do not throw fireballs or fly).
The Ozunu clan, the black sand clan, is an extremely secretive and uncompromising organization, consisting exclusively of ultra-cruel and ultra-skilled assassins nurtured from childhood, whose services are used by the highest political ranks. The ninja of the clan is so severe that the Chelyabinsk peasants scream exhaustingly at the sight of them and run away to the factory backyards hiding.
One of the members of the clan was very promising Raijo. The teacher would like to see him as his successor. Raijo understood all the wisdom and secrecy of ninja combat, overcame all obstacles and pain... but fell in love with a girl who once wanted to escape from this Shaolin, but was overtaken and brutally punished by death. Raijo held his anger and decided to take revenge - after his first assignment, he rebelled against the teacher and his brothers. As a result of a bloody and unequal battle, Raijo manages to survive, but now hides, because the ninja of the Ozunu clan can find a victim even by smell.
Meanwhile, a black Europol employee, Mick (Naomi Harris), goes too far in researching all sorts of documents about 100 pounds of gold, a classic century-long ninja fee, going out with the help of her friend, agent Maslov, to the report of former KGB officer Alexei Sabatin. Sabatin came too close to the secrets of the clan and was removed by the ninja themselves. That's the way Mika goes. And now the Ozunu clan sent their dogs after her (a characteristic feature of the murderous motives of the ninja is action in the half-darkness, so that you can dissolve in the shadows and appear unexpectedly from a variety of directions). Miku is rescued by Raijo, who intends to end the clan, avenging his first love.
The plot lines in the film are two: one is devoted to today, Europol and, mainly, Raijo training; the second tells about the formation and life of Raijo in the very ascetic and harsh conditions of the Ozunu clan, understanding the mysteries of ninja combat, overcoming pain, first love, and, finally, the emergence of the desire for revenge, demonstrating his life until the final act of confrontation with the teacher. I liked the second one better. The complexity and severity of life in the clan can only be amazed.
Fights in the picture are excellent and skillful, blood is full, but all this crosses the line of reality and becomes like the supernatural. From so many wounds and cuts in Raijo, all the internal organs should have come out, and there would be no living space on the body. Throwing suricanes is like firing a gun. And especially in terms of fascinating entertainment looks like the last battle of the “ninja against special forces”, where the former in the arsenal only cold weapons, and the latter the latest achievements of armament of law enforcement agencies. It is this spectacular, energetic slaughterhouse that is similar to a comic book, where the action is more spectacular and entertaining than realistic and consistent. The final fight with the teacher in general resembled a round from some console fighting game, where you press a certain combination of buttons and the teacher disappears into the shadows, and then appears from the back. And as it should be in video games, the last boss is the most difficult and difficult.
Assassina Raijo played a pywon and dancer mainly Rein, and as an influence on the creation of the film, MacTig called Panic in the Streets (1950), Escape (1972), Desolate Lands (1973), and the anime Ninja Manuscript (1993) and Samurai Champlou (2004-2005).
To be honest, I’ve never been an ardent fan of Eastern martial arts movies, as they seemed insanely boring and banal. Of course, I did not feel much sympathy for ninja films, as I believed that the plot of these films are talentless and meaningless, and their only goal is to impress the audience with their scenes. Frankly, I still don’t like these movies. However, my opinion may partially change if such a film on my unloved subject includes a very interesting plot, a gloomy atmosphere and a well-thought-out intrigue. Just such a category of films can be attributed to “Murderer Ninja”.
Plot
Micah Coretti, a young Interpol employee, investigates a string of mysterious contract killings taking place around the world. The investigation leads to the incredible - perhaps all involved a secret ninja organization that was believed to have disappeared centuries ago. But revealing this secret could lead to Mickey's horrific death. Meanwhile, professional assassin Raijo, who has escaped from this organization, tries to help Mika, in order to further revenge this society for the murder of a close friend.
Director
The director made the film in a rather unusual way. On the one hand, he shot a very good and spectacular action movie, replete with scenes with fights, which show all possible and impossible martial arts. In addition, this side of the film was complemented by the fact that it is full of violence and cruelty, namely a lot of blood, severed heads, chopped in half bodies and intestines that accompany the entire film. But, on the other hand, the film is a kind of philosophical parable, depicted in flashback scenes in which the hero remembers his past and how he became a hitman. Such an unusual combination gave an unusual atmosphere, because of which you feel some discomfort.
Scenario
The plot of the film is quite simple, since the main idea of the film was in such a fairly simple thing as revenge, which is very often used in films. The main character was forcibly dragged into this secret society as a child. Of course, according to the law of the genre, he was the most capable student, which made him the best warrior. An unforeseen situation occurs, his friend is brutally murdered, and after a while he escapes to take revenge. Agree, a very familiar intrigue. And if not for the storyline with an employee of Interpol, the film looked very boring, because thanks to this side of the film, the intrigue swirled and turned into a detective, about mysterious murders and political games. This has changed the way the film is viewed.
Game of actors
In general, the performance of the actors was average. She made no particular impression. Rain, who played Raijo, looked cool and brave, but painfully simple. He did not come from the tragedy that is required of heroes of this kind. Naomi Harris, who played Mickey Caretti, was better. She was probably the only one in the whole movie who played the game. And she played her character the way she needed to.
Installation
Honestly, I didn't like the editing very much. The creators resorted to such an effect as a slow scene, which is quite suitable for militants. However, it happens that for some militants it is worth using this effect, and for others it is worth giving up. The second case is in this film, as the editors used this technique in literally all combat and even ordinary scenes, because of which the film became pretentious. That's too much.
Soundtrack
The music in the film was guitar, namely, created with the help of an electric guitar. On the one hand, the film thanks to this style wins, since in action films it is simply necessary. However, on the other hand, this point is connected with the previous paragraph, the film became pretentious and simple.
Visual effects
Computer special effects in the movie in bulk. It is not difficult to guess that they were used in scenes with fights, where it was required to use graphics to cut a person in half or brandish some kind of weapon in a way that the laws of physics simply do not allow. So I especially liked the opening scene with the murder, which looked spectacular, but not realistic. If you evaluate the realism of these scenes, then it is worth noting that in this regard the creators coped, but not to the end, since computer graphics are very striking.

Based on the above, we can conclude that the “Murderer Ninja” is a typical American action movie shot in the oriental style. I think it will appeal to those who just like action movies. But those who prefer action movies with a good plot, it is better not to even try.

A real “male” movie, one of the bloodiest action films of the last decade. I am sure that this film will find its fans and will not be on their shelves, as it will be watched many times. Very stylish, beautiful, spectacular, from the first minutes sets such a pace that you do not want to pause the film and go for a “smoking break”. I’m not going to praise it too much, there are certainly drawbacks – after all, it’s an American film, and Hollywood always tries to make not just a good film, but a very good one. And what comes out of that -- yeah. "Too good is not good either." For what I am grateful to Hollywood, it is for the fact that the main role was not taken by an American, but it would already be “American ninja” by another M. Dudikoff. Thank you very much for your R rating. The only thing I would like to say: watch the film as a quality, because in the film there are a lot of shootings made in the dark and it is impossible to consider everything, and you will want to consider everything, believe me, and more than once. For fans of Eastern martial arts, militants, and in general spectacular fights. (And all the disadvantages of the film will be covered with pluses.) And do not expect something philosophical and unpredictable, but it is banal and sometimes the plot tramples on one place, but I, what I expected from the film – got. P.S. Fights in the parking lot and on the roadway, among rushing cars, and the final too, deserve applause. 8 out of 10 Original
