I thought at first: Well, what can you expect from the creators of Hitler Caput! and Grandma of Easy Behavior? Another stream of vulgarity and rude humor - nothing more. I didn’t even go to the movie Night Shift when it hit theaters. I didn’t want to watch it on TV right away. And then somehow got to another show and delayed. Why?
1) Without the obvious vulgarity inherent in Marius.
No, there's a lot of humour down here. And is there anything else to expect from the story of a desperate but shy stripper? But it was in the “Night shift” that the director managed to present piquant humor competently, and most importantly, really funny, without the need for the viewer to experience Spanish shame.
2) Interesting, to some extent acutely social theme of the film.
What are you willing to do to feed your family? And if your wife wants to go to another, richer man. And most importantly, if all the vicissitudes of life, you still love only her. Even when all the women around you are trying to seduce you.
(3) Elegant play of actors: what is the main composition, what is secondary.
Every character is in their place. There are no unnecessary storylines. And every actor did a great job with his role. Most of all, I am surprised by Pavel Derevyanko. Yeah, he's in another boob movie. It is so interesting that it is fascinating.
(4) Deliciously served intimate scenes.
Given that we are talking about the work of a stripper, semi-nude scenes, both male and female, there is enough. But they are made on the one hand very “delicious”, please the eye with their openness. And on the other hand, all the nudity is chaste enough: you seem to see everything, but at the same time, what you see does not annoy you. Piquant scenes here are like entourage, not nudity for the sake of nudity. And yes, if you haven’t seen male striptease to very patriotic music yet, be sure to check it out. Derevyanko in this scene is especially gorgeous.
(5) That's ridiculous.
It's really a sitcom. Simple, understandable, without tension. A great way to lift your mood and distract from everyday problems. With pepper, but without rolling into vulgarity, about the difficulties of family life, but when everything is good in the end. And love! Just like that, in big letters. Who always overcomes all difficulties.
Resume. Against the background of all the other creations of Marius Weisberg, “Night Shift” can really surprise you. In my opinion, this is the best film from this director. And a rather skillful attempt to pull out Russian comedies and swamps called "boring and not interesting." I recommend it!
Watching a Russian comedy is like a situation with a cat in a bag.
You can not be 100% sure of what awaits you, but not to open this bag is sometimes also interesting.
And although the set of standard attributes has long been known, there are pleasant exceptions.
The night shift is a picture that will never burden you with complex philosophical thoughts, make you think about something, or doubt what is happening on the screen.
Of course, Marius Weisberg is not one of those directors from whom you can expect family films, and the Night Shift was also no exception. Accordingly, it should be treated as a picture for adults.
It’s a nice comedy that’s just made to come home after work, turn on the TV, and just relax and have a good laugh.
At its core, the night shift is a typical sitcom that forces two friends, performed by Derevyanko and Yaglych, to leave the only place of work where they are at least something good.
Left without a source of food, one of the heroes is almost literally on the street, and the other smiles ' Fortune' in the form of a very dubious way of earning. However, fishless. . .
It is noteworthy that the story does not revolve only around one theme of male striptease, and goes in parallel, showing us the adventures of each of the two main characters separately.
In addition to a good story, I can praise not the stupidest dialogues, funny gags and well-chosen castes for such a picture. Special thanks for the absence of Nagiyev, he is already quite familiar.
Personally for me, the Derevyanko + Yaglych tandem shows itself perfectly, the actors and their characters complement each other perfectly.
As a result, a good comedy that can be seen at least once.

The intention to write a positive review of contemporary Russian comedy now looks so strange and unnatural that it is better to hide it from friends and acquaintances. But, as they say, in life you need to try everything, and “Night shift” suddenly gives a reason.
What did you like? First, the social subtext. Marius Weisberg is one of the last people in Russian cinema, from whom this could be expected, and yet. The introductory black-and-white video about the history of the fictional Kronstadt shipyard “Yantar” (the real shipyard with this name exists in Kaliningrad) turned out to be so appropriate, tactful and parody in a good way that I seriously thought whether I had mistakenly included another film.
The main character is suddenly a welder. And his friend is also a welder. They live in apartments without renovation, with Soviet doors and bookshelves. Fifteen thousand for them is a lot of money. A hundred thousand is huge. To buy a simple LCD TV, they take a loan, and drive at best on a budget foreign car (owners of car dealerships and strip clubs do not count). When have you seen this in modern Russian cinema? There, after all, the action usually takes place in dimensionless interiors, as if descended from the advertising of Italian cuisines, and the heroes easily lower one hundred thousand rubles in one evening in some restaurant.
And the final, the final! What choice did the main character make in the end? Yes, this finale is quite worthy of some Soviet industrial and domestic drama, filmed in 1976 and designed to glorify work as a means of solving all possible existential problems. It’s time to ask again – was it exactly shot by Marius Weisberg in 2018?
The next item is female characters. The performers of the three main female roles (Ksenia Teplova, Natalia Bardot and Anna Mikhailovskaya) are pleasant to watch. The male eye, at least, just rests shamelessly. And this is also new for modern Russian films shot by Moscow glamorous party. For some reason, there were serious problems with pretty young actresses in this social stratum all the time. I don’t even want to start thinking about why this happened. Everything is very good here.
Although the authors touchingly smeared road signs, advertising banners and signs with street names on houses (Ryborg embankment, hi-hi), any native of the Northern capital instantly recognizes the views of his native city. And for this film another plus - the city is shown in proportion to the genre, accurately and aptly. No postcard views, Neva, Petropavlovka and the Hermitage. But the characters repeatedly enter and leave the building on the Griboyedov Canal, where in reality the club "Stable Dvor" was located, in the 1990s and early zero served as the first address of St. Petersburg striptease (female - for sure).
By the standards of Russian cinema in “Night shift” there are almost no delays (IMHO, this is the main trouble of domestic filmmakers), on the screen all the time something happens, the picture changes. Yes, to the best samples is still like walking to the moon, but still...
So that's the big message. Does the film have flaws? There are a lot of them, you can write about them twice as much as what is at the top. The gags are about lustful accountants and fags, the unrealistic nature of many storylines (welders are actually in demand, and shipyards even “after sanctions” bring them from the most exotic places like Ukraine) and many things will never allow us to recognize this film as a masterpiece. And yet, the Night Shift is a small step in the right direction. And why not carefully encourage him with a benevolent review? At least purely for a change.
It's hot outside, and I wanted to see something new, light and funny. Unfortunately, this “something” was the new creation of director Marius Weisberg “Night Shift”.
Once upon a time, I watched Peter Cattaneo’s film “Male Striptease”, and I still remember how interesting and witty the situation was played, in which ordinary English hardworkers got into. But from the fact that I remember it, even more dreary was watching “Night shift” Weisberg, the main problem of which, in my opinion, is that luring the viewer with a piquant plot, the creators apparently decided that “peeple sucks” and this, and therefore did not bother thinking through the script and jokes. When watching it, there was a feeling that coming to the set, the director and actors decided on the spot what they would do. And let’s shrug, and let’s insert a “salty” word, and let’s undress figure-shaped men – look, and roll. But it didn't. At least for me personally.
The story of two friends Max and Sergey performed by Vladimir Yaglych and Pavel Derevyanko, who lost their jobs and were forced to find work in a strip club, did not live up to expectations. Derevyanko appears here in a well-developed role not very smart, but charming slob with a cheerful character. An adult man, he cannot calculate his actions even a few steps ahead, does everything spontaneously and does not think about the consequences.
Yaglych in the film tries to “give” the drama, yet here he plays the father of the family, who is put a certain measure of responsibility not only for himself, but also for the household. At the same time, the situation in the family of his character Max is quite strange. On the one hand, he and his wife seem to love each other, and on the other, too easily, thoughtlessly I would say, go on affairs. And they're always lying to each other, lying stupidly and falsely. And the filmmakers think it all looks funny and fascinating. The whole "love quadrangle": Max and the stripper, his wife and her employer look ridiculous, and the denouement of this relationship is presented without explanation.
Also in the course of the film, questions arise: the mother of the hero Derevyanko at first openly mocks and laughs at him, and then comes to the rescue in case of his next rash act. Why is that?
Max’s family really needs money, his wife gets a job in a car dealership and in the first days begins to drive a car, scaring customers. How do you understand this?
Why are all the women in this movie either stupid or nymphomaniac (or both)?
The newly acquired girlfriend of Seryoga – Lida (Anna Mikhailovskaya) at first seems a sensible girl, but then a close acquaintance with the hero Derevyanko has a detrimental effect on her. Although seeing her strange and, of course, sexually anxious mother, this is no longer surprising.
Yes, by the way, “cut” the words of the teacher of literature that Kühelbecker is a great Russian poet. Why even mention a worthy person, even if not a great poet, in such a context?
It also seems to me that if the director and producer invited Tarzan’s domestic striptease guru, Sergey Glushko, to this film, then you could come up with something more interesting for him than what he got as a result. Although his frisky King Kong, and even insatiable in every sense accountant Anfisa (Svetlana Listova) and soul Chernyavsky (part-time producer of all this action Emin Agalarov) a little animated the whole screen “vinegret”, which for me still remained inedible. I'm sorry, the subject was interesting.
General impression: After reading a lot of reviews/reviews, I decided that I should also watch The Night Shift. How often do you hear the word comedy? And the stupid Russian comedy? Alas, often. Here is the second option, but if you know who the director (creator of the film - "Grandma of easy behavior", "Rzhevsky vs. Napoleon", "Hitler kaput!"), then in principle you can end my post and this. If you are satisfied with these tapes, then please watch, if not, then you should not “rape” yourself.
What about the script? Everything is deplorable, the people in the picture are rare idiots who behave differently than a normal person (but there are also such). The female gender in the face of the wife of a welder is terrible because the woman needs money, but she is not going to let her husband go to striptease. And when he finds out about the job, I'm sure he's a traitor, a womanizer and all that. The main welder does not dance striptease, tea is not Channing Tatum, but only twitches comically giving poses in underwear in a flower. A friend of a welder is a lazy person who doesn’t want to work, but wants a lot of money (and who doesn’t!). And other characters that I am too lazy to list do not stand out in the plot and do not remember. In the picture, no one wants to sympathize, no one feels sorry, no one wants to prompt in the ear how to behave. There is a complete failure, because if the character does not cause the viewer emotions, then why is such a character needed? Just as poor is the world of heroes, the feeling that our team is living on a planet where there is only one bar, one school, one house, everything! Locations are small, the world is poor.
If you take acting, then some people in the film are not even familiar with this phrase, do not smell and do not know. And some can not get out of the role of another film (Valentina Mazunin). BUT! I single out Vladimir Yaglych, after all, the actor more or less copes and squeezes out a variety of (which is here!) feelings. If it weren't for Derevyanko's curvatures, he'd be here too. But past.
Can I use a good word for the film? Yes, you can. Still, in the tape there is a constant action, no one stands still and there is no stagnation in the narrative. It mentions the family line on which everything is built, it is not a striptease. Family values is one of the important themes of this film, but since the plot is simple, so everyone is happy, no one died. Humor - you can laugh, but do not forget to turn off the brain, then do not forget to turn on (incl. off not everyone works!), but there are no intellectual jokes, so only Gygygygs.
The result is a bland movie, but not as horrible as it seems. Not a masterpiece, but you can beat. I scored a point for Batman.
There is an opinion that the Russian comedy is in stagnation. All jokes are limited to concepts of the level of "ha, ha, mother-in-law came", crazy relatives, the eternal confrontation of criminal romance with the usual Russian sad being, etc. “Night Shift” could well be a step forward for Russian comedy, given the premise: due to a crisis situation, the plant is closed and former workers are trying to fit into a professional field in which they, well, do not understand. As a result of stereotypes about the working class, it could come out quite a good comedy, something on the level of sketches about the homosexual Ivan Dulin, only kinder and perhaps even with the message that it is never too late to start from scratch. But, alas, all this remains at the level of the imagination of the viewer and missed opportunities. “Night shift” remains the adaptation of a very primitive anecdote with familiar characters, like a fat aunt, like an airship, office plankton, a cunning rich man and narrow-minded residents of the Russian hinterland.
The problem is that Night Shift is absolutely not entertaining, first of all, because jokes below the belt are clearly not a suitable topic for modern Russian comedy, and, secondly, the matter is in the already mentioned stereotypes. Everything in "Night Shift" screams the past. Humor is not only outdated, it is also more or less based on physical comedy: the hero misunderstood someone and did something that you do not expect from him, sexual context and all that. It happens, of course, that “Night Shift” slides into a positive surf (especially the scene with the Russian Batman was successful), but this is not enough and, to be honest, looks somehow out of place.
As for the script itself, it is very difficult to perceive Night Shift as a full-fledged film. It’s as if you took the notorious TV series “Fizruk” and made it cut the best moments, which would then be mounted in a full-length. "Night Shift" evokes just such feelings: I wouldn't be surprised if the film's layout was born out of a failed series.
The black hole of creativity and intelligence is at least diluted by the cast. In fact, I would say that the project was attended by good actors, but from the role they were unlucky. Yaglych again plays a near-strong man, Derevyanko - a cunning plier comrade, and Sergey "Tarzan" Glushko plays, well, Tarzan. It would be cool, of course, to beat the cameo of the latter, perhaps to use self-irony or even frank banter over the difficult fate of a man who chose the path of a male stripper profession. Oh, no, Tarzan is Tarzan and nothing more. You can also note Anna Mikhailovsky, only her role here is painfully ordinary and bland.
Alas, as I would not like the opposite, but “Night shift” is a failure. There is no drama (see “Super Mike”), nor even comedy as such: jokes were added insofar as this is required by the plot of male striptease, and the concept of windy dances is introduced as the main leitmotif of the plot, apparently, to have something to joke about. Thus, a vicious circle is born, from which Russian comedies, apparently, will not get out soon.

The main producer of this film is Emin Agalarov (he is a singer under the pseudonym Emin). The boy from the “golden youth” of Russia wanted not only to sing, but also to make films. The film with a very original (fresh) script turned out very well. The film is dynamic and with good intrigue. And most importantly, the film promotes traditional, family values. Striptease serves as a pepper in the dish "long live family and children!"
Director Marius Weisberg (he is known for the films “Love in the city” (2009) and “Grandma of easy behavior” (2017)) chicly shows how the main character is ashamed to be a stripper. The director skillfully makes vulgar jokes very funny. The main character, Max, really wants his young family with two children to know no need. Male striptease is something new, beautiful for Russia (especially for the province). Strippers have long won their place in the sun in the Russian show business, now it is time for male strippers.
The film is a merry mess because it’s not clear why Max should hide his new profession as a stripper from his wife, who really wants to have more money in the family. In fact, on this secret and builds the whole plot, this holds the intrigue. Emin Agalarov very well played a rich alpha male who does not care about women after having sex with them. The film promotes “family values”, and they are very freshly shown in the film (some new moves in the movie). The age limit is 16+, which says: “The film is intended for graduates who are now choosing their future profession.”
The main character Max will have to choose either a grumpy beloved wife, or club lustful women, lovers of male striptease. I liked Tarzan (the husband of singer Natasha Koroleva): he plays the main male stripper King Kong. Tarzan is a real alpha male who makes money on lust.

After a little crumpled beginning-set, necessary for any justification of the further plot, it turned out a very good film.
The picture does not pretend to be a masterpiece and in general any artistic value. The most important thing about it is that it lifts the mood, charges the positive and makes you think a little about what is really important.
The actors play perfectly, a beautiful soundtrack, an easy and naive plot - what else do you need to relax? It is the atmosphere of confidently overcoming any difficulties without despondency and snot that is the leitmotif of the entire narrative. And what is happening on the screen stupidity look just surreal, but at the same time you understand that something similar could well happen in real life.
It is difficult to accuse the authors of an abundance of vulgar humor, given the theme of the tape, besides, no excesses and rolling into the black are not noticed. Everything in this film is kind, warm and lamp. There is nothing wrong or reprehensible in any character or in any action of any of the characters. Those who want to see the dirt and negativity flowing from the screen, such a movie may not like, but personally I spent a great hour and a half with a smile on my face, which means that the creative team coped with their task.
I definitely recommend watching. The second time you will hardly watch it, but it will be nice to spend the evening 'Night shift' quite possible.

I'm going to a Russian comedy. Consciously. I do not accept the position “Russian cinema sucks”. I believe and hope the movies get better. Sometimes it is. But not in this case. In a nutshell, let me explain why:
The film does not give me any specific agenda. If you want to bring up the problem of working professions in comedy - bring it to the end (the application is generally interesting, but it looks inappropriate, like an aging singer among the youth of the hype era); if you want to say that it is not shameful to work as a stripper - finish this thought logically. In general, do everything to the end, do not abandon your own idea. Don't leave her.
The beautiful actors you enjoy watching in other movies are ridiculous. There is no effect of "Oh, Bardot is beautiful" or "Yeah, Jaglych in her style." I don’t want to be disappointed in Mikhailovskaya, but one more movie and that’s it. Goodbye, love. It sounds like a school play.
You come to a comedy, and at the end you are given a philosophical thought. Leave this idea for aerobatics directors or for Hollywood comedies. For beginners and non-professionals, such a move does not work.
And most importantly, stop mocking the audience. How many inappropriate jokes can you make about women and gays? It is an era of feminism and tolerance. Is it really difficult to pay attention to this and spend more time, but to prescribe in the script real jokes.
The new picture of Marius Weisberg called 'Night shift', is a remake (and not the original tape!) of the British film 'Men's striptease' - although the author tries to hide it, but it is!
Therefore, before talking about ' creation'. Weisberg, I think I need to tell you what a British film looks like.
' Male striptease' tells us about the fate of several employees of the closed steel processing plant - the main pushing force of the provincial town, in which the action takes place.
So, because of the closure of the plant, they all find themselves ' broke ' and the hardships of life lead them to the idea of striptease.
But if you thought that was it, no! They're trying to find a job, a different job, in different businesses -- and that's a very important point. And so it's up to them -- these people with a midlife crisis -- to continue their stripping business.
They have, of course, for the entertainment of the viewer - it turns out ineptly and comically - and this is again very important. They do not know how to do it well, but it makes the viewer more fun.
In parallel, the film raises family relationships with wives and children - and this is perhaps the main theme of the film.
Now let's take a look at Weisberg's creation - we now have something to compare with.
The plot of the film is no different from the above film of British production, but everything is known in the details. The fact is that the heroes of the English-language film were employees who had to take such a step due to circumstances.
- here before us appears 2 heroes: Vladimir Yaglych, playing an employee of the closed plant (Coincidence), who ' had' get a job as a stripper.
And the character of Pavel Derevyanko is the main trouble of the film, with a blunt motive (you see what), he has to repeat the fate of Yaglych. With all due respect to the writer, he has to write scripts for a talk show. And now from the presentation of the characters to the criticism.
The character of Yaglych is played from the point of view of acting - not bad, but it is not a character who can worry, it is a person who wants to burn through life, who liked his new & #39; work & #39; and who, unlike the characters of the original, does not even try to re-employ.
As for his family line, it slows down the film's idiocy a bit, but it's also presented 'average' and blurred. Yaglych, only his acting skills and the dramaturgy of his family line saved him from shame!
About the line of the character Derevyanko, this can not be said with the same stupid motive (which I will not disclose, because the spoiler), we are forced to watch as he again turns into his hero from the film of the same Weisberg & #39; Hitler Caput!' and the whole film is so unbearably curved that it is impossible to look at him without tears. . .
Tears of bitterness, because from such acting, Stanislavsky will turn in his grave!
As for the humor of the tape, it remained at the level of Kryzhovnikov’s films.
A Russian comedy... In 99 percent of cases, the review can end there, because it is so clear to everyone what will be written next. The Night Shift does not stand out against this background. Yes, yes, maybe this is not the worst comedy in Russia. But is it really so unfortunate to watch a movie, thus justifying not very good movies? And put this picture a certain Marius Weisberg, who previously shot the “beautiful” film “Hitler Kaput!” and many other “masterpieces”. Just look at what he's done before, I think it's fantastic. Well, probably, in comparison with this "Night shift" is even some progress.
What is it? This is primarily a comedy and if it performs its main function, that is, amuses and entertains, then you can close your eyes to many disadvantages. The only problem is that Night Shift is not fun. The creators of Russian comedies have still not been able to move beyond the most worn-out jokes below the belt and a concerned fat woman from accounting. Seriously? Who would that make fun of now? And this is despite the fact that most of the more or less adequate jokes lit up in the trailer. And even if sometimes there and joked so that you could at least smile, then they still very quickly slipped into complete primitivism.
And most importantly, it is absolutely not a movie format, but a serial. This film is much more like cutting sketches and sketching funny situations from the life of a stripper and his friends. In this film there is no clear plot, no revealed characters, it starts out of nowhere and ends with nothing. It would have turned out to be an ordinary, normal TV series, something like “Kitchens”, “Fizruk” and others. I’m not saying it would be a good show, but at least it would be more honest, it would be in its own format, and everything would be logical.
Well, the main merit of the film should be that at least it does not vomit. And that's only because he looks pretty harmless and doesn't use the most disgusting jokes, and then he tries to push a very simple and banal morality, just to be, just in case. But personally, I don’t think it’s a big plus, and playing in the vicinity of the intended audience seems to me not very right. I wonder who these films are made for. Personally, I fit the audience by age, but I never laughed in the whole film, and almost no one in my circle watches it. However, you come to the session, and some people are just filled with laughter, so someone needs such a movie, well, fine.
I don’t even want to single out any actors. In such films, as a rule, everyone plays the same, so that no one’s particular game is of interest. Stars of television and big cinema again twist and perform in a very familiar role for them, nothing new no one shows. Although Pavel Derevyanko is beginning to scare a little with his empty eyes, it seems that his health is not all right, moral or physical. Oh, and of course, Tarzan! He's just a generation actor. Apparently, a stripper who plays, believe me, a stripper will always remain relevant.
So what happens? And it turns out that “Night shift” is another useless Russian comedy, which even can’t really entertain. Well, who will talk about it and remember it at least in a couple of months, I do not know.
