Artem Aleksandrovich Streletsky is a psychologist who practices his own unique method of healing - provocative psychology. The method is based on the fact that in just 2 sessions, the patient/client gets rid of the psychological problem by means of harsh measures on the part of the psychologist, namely: he encounters a traumatic event (usually from childhood - nothing new) - the so-called trigger that started a chain of events that led to the problem with which the patient turns to the psychologist. Always an inconvenient exit from the comfort zone, open truth in the eyes and questions in the forehead, forced recognition of a real problem, not a fictional one - this is how Artem works, and therefore blows to the face and the phrase "are you sick?", "are you a psychologist?", "I will sue you" etc. - usual for him.
And despite all this, such a specialist as Artem is very popular not only among well-to-do and sufficiently wealthy people (about 20,000 rubles for departure), but also among ordinary people who, realizing that if he is able to relieve them of tormenting psychological anxiety, they are ready to pay for it. For such people, Artem acts as a real humanist (making a discount or even helping for free), the purpose of which is not profit, but a real need for help - a messiah complex, megalomania - whatever you want to call it, but the fact remains - it does not matter how, but it helps people. What can not be said about the cohort of “ordinary” psychologists / psychotherapists who are not interested in helping people, it is more profitable for them to have a constant base of clients who will walk and pay for years, long wiping the patient’s leather chairs in the offices of expensive business centers.
It would not be so interesting if there was not a fierce competitor, which is the father of Artem - also a practicing psychologist, condemning and not accepting the method of his son and in every way trying to put a stick in the wheels of his professional activity. All this he does exclusively out of a deep sense of love and ... guilt, which turns out to be so that he himself on 1 fine day is not without hesitation forced to seek help from his own son, just to get rid of the pangs of conscience.
But not everything is so smooth in the measured life of Artem - yes, there is a rebellious father and no less rebellious teenage sister, but there is a wife, a stable income and not the pursuit of profit. In the end, his method allegedly misfires, which entailed a prison term of 8 years under article 110 paragraph 1 of the criminal code (inducement or assistance to commit suicide). He is not only strange, atypical, narcissistic, for some genius, but also straightforward and principled, and therefore the matter could end in a digestible agreement for both parties, but no. And so in fact - serving 4 years, release on parole and then the resumption of individual practice not without the help of a patron friend who fits a new iPhone, creates a site on the top lines of the search, gives shelter, and he is the same office in the building, which owns. The world is not without kind people, and in this regard Artem is very lucky, although he is not always able to understand this and appreciate it. He is not a saint, and therefore believes that “in psychologists go sick people who are not able to help themselves in the 1st turn, but think that they are able to heal others.”
I do not know whether there is such a technique and specialists in reality, and I would dare to do this, but I admit the idea that the situations described in the series as cases of appeal to Artem are very vital and not far-fetched. The mother did not beat the boy and he now hates women, the father did not kill the daughter and now she is simply unable to find a husband because of intimophobia (fear of close relationships), the wife does not love her husband, the husband does not love his wife, although on the surface everything is normal and well, addictions, fears, the inability to get pregnant not because of infertility, but because of psychosomatics, which again caused childhood trauma, inflicting physical pain to reduce mental pain - all this goes next to us, since there are absolutely healthy mental people, they simply do not exist, because, alas, life is so arranged that we all have trauma.
The number of crippled fates, a sick psyche, phobias, anxiety, panic attacks, manias, as well as belief in the uniqueness of his own method and obvious effectiveness - all this allows Artem not to remain unclaimed in our sick society.
The series itself is interesting, it is not boring to watch, but watching the game of the tall, slender, attractive Maxim Matveev with beautiful eyes and a piercing look is just delight. I’m really shocked that Mediator has a higher rating than Trigger, which is just nonsense shared by many who have watched both shows. The incomprehensible psychophysics of the characters, the manner of behavior and speech in the “Mediator” (in the film about the film, the director Aksenenko explains this allegedly with a special feature – there is an emoji of incomprehensibility), the sluggish narrative and the entanglement of the storylines simply destroy interest in the series, in contrast to “Trigger”, where there is constant emotional involvement, nerve, cool dialogue and concern for human fate. So you must see.
The topic of psychology is the most relevant recently, so series devoted to such problems have the strongest return from the viewer.
Trigger is a process in which a person experiences the most acute emotions caused by injuries. That is, certain events can become a trigger for a person to feel his problem and all the internal experiences associated with it. The process is unpleasant to say the least, but as shown in the plot is very effective.
Artem Streletsky is a psychologist who is not used to siphoning money from his patients, on the contrary, he scares away potential customers more with his methods than he attracts and earns from them.
The series is quite depressing, but effective. Not only do you immerse yourself in events, but you also work through certain traumas and thoughts. Of course, if there are problems, viewing a picture will not replace a trip to a psychiatrist, even perhaps, on the contrary, you should not watch it, because the light, music, style and presentation escalate the situation. Moreover, this thickening of colors occurs not as in a thriller, but as in a complex psychological series.
The plot is interesting, unbeaten, and understandable.
The main story thread along with the hero goes through the entire series, but in each series new characters appear, which remain in only one series. I love this structure: you are interested in watching the life of the protagonist, but each time you learn new stories, thanks to this series does not seem long.
Very well fit here is Maxim Matveev, lately the actor is in high demand, trying on images from Sherlock Holmes to a confused psychologist. He has a male charisma, and a cunning look, and reads vulnerability, I really like how he learned to reincarnate from one character to another.
The series can be compared to its successor, The Mediator, a very similar structure, plot, idea.

This is a rare series that is based on really modern technologies of psychonalysis. In this case, Farelli, provocative psychoanalysis. You can find his sessions online. They are in themselves like a fascinating film, it is impossible to come off.
The essence of the method is that the psychoanalyst asks seemingly simple and often inappropriate questions with a dose of humor, at some point he discovers the real problem of the patient. Often the client speaks it himself.
And how the movie is illustrated is excellent. Well-chosen heroes. There's intrigue. And most importantly, the tension. Tension of human relationships. At the moment when Maksim Matveev appears in the frame, we already know that there will be something unusual, shocking, funny or tragic. It's almost Sherlock.
The storyline related to the main patient who lost her husband raises questions, especially in terms of the denouement. But overall, it's done well. In terms of description of dependence. Dependence can be not only on alcohol, drugs, but also on a person.
Particular attention is paid to the relationship between a man and a woman. Everything here is very modern. And at the same time, the screenwriters excavate the most archaic complexes that have haunted us almost since the times of tribal relations.
It's really cool. Very rare film in terms of reality and quality.
I advise everyone. It helps you understand yourself better.
I've always been interested in psychology. After watching the psychological series “Being Erica”, “Patients”, I thought about a new series. And my choice fell on the Russian series “Trigger”. In the beginning, there were doubts about whether to watch the series of Russian production. They had never been in me before. I took a risk and didn’t lose.
Naturally, there is a lot of fiction in the film, and even Frank Farrelly, the founder of provocative psychology, could not cure the patient in just a couple of sessions. There are many passions in the film, the personal life of the hero from series to series is bubbling with events. It is difficult to imagine how a normal person can cope with so much heat and turmoil. But Artem copes with both his own difficulties and with others.
His method is based on introducing a person to a state of shock. As the consultant of this series Sergey Nasibyan admits, he never set his patients on fire in the barn. It is because of this exaggeration that the picture looks spectacular and exciting.
Frank Farrely, the founder of this method, invented it quite by accident, trying to cure mentally ill patients in a psychiatric hospital. He noticed that when he was telling the truth, he was not restrained in his expressions, shouting - it was pushing patients out of their cocoons. Surprisingly, such psychotherapy had a greater therapeutic effect than classical therapy.
The hero of the film Artem Streletsky also does not restrain himself in expressions, provoking patients to bold steps. He believes that a person can change immediately without long and tedious digging in the past. He just needs to decide to cross the line and start acting in a new way. Discard all fears, pave the path of new neural connections.
Many psychologists praised the series, although they agreed that it was too surreal for real life. I liked the show. It shows the clumps of our psyche, our brain. How difficult it is to change and let go of your life. But if something clicked in him and he decided to take this step, his life changes dramatically for the better. He becomes a new person, a person free from prejudice and limiting beliefs. And most importantly, such a person becomes happy.
Two and a half of the first series... Matveev is well treated (even though he chose Boyarskaya as his wife), but here he overplays. It's all fake. What kind of psychologist is he?
A good psychological drama with a detective component. Directors Dmitry Tyurin and Igor Tverdokhlebov made such hits as the Epidemic and Territory. The actors are pretty good. The main character (Artem) Maxim Matveev has good charisma. I liked Igor Kostolevsky
(Alexander Streletsky - father of Artem) and Vladislav Tiron
(Matvey is Artem's assistant).
The plot of the classic tells a central story and in each series the themes with parallel characters are revealed. Artem (a talented psychologist) was released from prison after a long time in prison due to the death of a patient. He is trying to restore a difficult relationship with his family and investigate the real causes of death of a man for whose death he believes he is not guilty. In each series in parallel solves different psychological problems of patients, many of whom have completed storylines. Artem’s methods are very harsh and provocative. The pilot name of the series was Provocateur. It's quite interesting to watch. The plot is fascinating, and the acting and characters are at least not annoying.
There is a certain professional criticism of real psychologists, subjecting the ethics and methods of work of the protagonist to condemnation. Obviously, it makes sense and probably common sense. But the series does not hide that the actions of the main character are not canonical. Some scripted themes are built on this. I don’t know if there really are psychologists, but in the series it all looks interesting. That's what he's all about. The main thing is that no one gets hurt. And if he did, all the power is in the truth.
It’s supposed to be season 2, but I haven’t seen anything yet. I'd like to see it.
'Oh, how many wonderful discoveries we have. . . -
With an obvious Western canvas (you can’t really believe that the endless stormy stream of Russian people flows to the reception to a psychologist, also flaunting with their immeasurable solvency, as well as solvency – Pay? Costly? - Fff! No problem! This, just, not the main thing!) – so, with obvious Western patterns, a wonderful series 'Trigger,' of course, a deeply Russian work.
It should be noted that our people do not tend to love and respect psychologists so directly. On the contrary, they tend to the psychologist as such at best gently ignore, at worst avoid sidelines, and sometimes slightly despise as a person engaged from the point of view of the layman, complete nonsense.
Well, it may be good that with the help of such a brutally beautifully noble Artem Streletsky it will be possible to raise, so to speak, prestige and improve the image. (The only thing that makes you sick is the traditionally American search for the causes of adult zugzwangs somewhere out there, at a tender age, supposedly stopped in the corner picking plaster, or all in the same childhood fatally missed the night mom).
With all the Western love for psychologists, their film engineers-setters of human souls in a soulful voice mumble their American clichés - but our Russian psychologist in our Russian series & #39; Trigger' sublimated into superpersonality - in a shrewd human scanner, instantly looking at the clinical picture, unmistakably modeling the history and immediately diagnosing. Well, when the diagnosis is made, then a brilliant problem solver comes into play! And he generously substitutes the vest - to cry. Of course! All living people!
We sing glory to the madness of the brave! Maxim Matveev is still a hero! He made a real feat of acting – went from beginning to end the hardest marathon. He did everything he could, giving himself to a complex and nervous role. He heroically lost weight, bringing the former athleticism to a state of skinny veins. (So that the guy who served in prison is not reproached for being well-fed.) Passed through a huge number of different emotions – did not spare his nerves, heart, was not afraid to be ugly! And, most importantly, his talent and human charm brought the serial character to life, inspiring a living, beautiful soul into him!
If Maksim Matveev opens the reception of problem clients, I think people will reach him. That's the power of art. Artem Streletsky is smart and calculating erudite and sensitive, emotional and wise. He calculates, plans, calculates, empathizes. . .
Let me give you a reason for reflection and reflection.
At the psychological faculty of Moscow state University enters a girl of eight years, prematurely graduated from secondary school and successfully passed the exam.
': How many wonderful discoveries are prepared for us by the enlightenment of spirit and experience, the son of difficult mistakes, and genius, paradoxes of each other'
General impression: Psychologist Artem Streletsky is a supporter of shock therapy in the treatment of patients. He believes that the only way for a person to solve their problems is to understand themselves and stop lying to themselves. If most psychologists nurse clients, listen to complaints about life for six months, sympathize and get a lot of money for the cycle of sessions, then Artem constantly provokes clients: insults them, laughs at them, deliberately pushes them out of the comfort zone. Artem's practice flourishes until one of his patients commits suicide.
Season 1, 16 episodes, and so much intrigue and tension that the dramatic tape pushes not only out of the comfort zone of Artem's patients, but also the viewer himself! The plot smoothly waltzes between the stories of Streletsky’s clients and his life. With each series, we are introduced to a new person who has certain problems, both from childhood and psychological trauma, received at different intervals of time. Artem, as an excellent psychologist, helps with his special approach, but, unfortunately, he cannot understand his life. Constant debate with his father, who, like his son, is a psychologist, a spoiled relationship with his beloved woman, a misunderstanding of others. Artem, in principle, few people understand and love, of course, who will love a person who tells only the truth and nothing but the truth. It's an ulcer. Because of his principles Streletsky was in prison, went on parole and gradually begins a new life, he is sure that he was framed and he was imprisoned for 4 years for nothing (rather for his principle), but how to prove? . .
To say that I am delighted is to say nothing! Maxim Matveev in the role of a psychologist-provocateur is incomparable, chic, magnificent! Applause! Maxim is so good that the first acquaintance with his multifaceted character erases the edge of the game. The actor lives the life of the hero completely giving himself to his role. The difficult character of the hero gives reason to think about many things, including the fact that pros are the same people and have the right to make a mistake. Only here to know all the background of people and know yourself are different things, to escape from yourself will not work, so the hero of Matveev suffers not so much from loneliness as from betrayal.
The series raises many topics from psychology, which is very interesting and curious. The intrigue lasts until the very end, tossing wood into the burning fire, the final... that’s what really hurts. I never expected such a turn of events! Intrigued? Then we have to look! It's worth it!
To me, the series is awesome (except for one thing, but more on that later). Everything is beautiful in it: plot, atmosphere, actors, dialogues, presentation, soundtracks, humor... That's it. I’m usually very wary of domestic contemporary cinema, but this series really struck me (although it didn’t come without its downsides). But let's be clear.
The series has two main and several secondary storylines. I don’t want to talk about them (you’ll see them all if you look at them). And the main storylines are directly related to the main character, and conditionally they can be designated as “Professional” and “Personal”.
The main character of the series is Artem Streletsky, a psychologist (Matveev was inimitable), who uses a specific method in his practice, called "provocative". Its essence is to put a person face to face with his own problem, to “put” a person in a state of stress (in a trigger). Honestly, I have not figured out how I myself relate to this (the series had different points of view on this score), as often this method was on edge (well, to set fire to the barn in which he locked his client, the way to an amateur). However, I cannot deny the effectiveness of this “reception” either. For me, how to make a person really understand himself in such a tough way (because there is no other way) is much more effective than many hours of talk from a psychologist, which only perpetuates the existing problem. Of course, in the series, this method is shown simply incredibly, exciting and spectacular, but I very much doubt that anyone will risk resorting to it in real life. For good or bad, it is not for me to judge. Fortunately.
The second line concerns the personal life of the main character. I didn't compare him to Sherlock because he has a lot in common. Look at this.
First, Artem makes a diagnosis a few minutes after meeting with a client. It takes him several times to look at the problem; ask two or three questions to understand the cause; and finally, a couple of hours to fix the problem. What can you do?
Secondly, about 13 out of 16 episodes, the image of the protagonist gives the viewer the impression that he is not capable of manifesting any human emotions: love, sympathy, gratitude, etc. It is for this reason that the storyline associated with his ex-wife looks very strange. It is very strange that this superbrain, an egoist, a man who thinks he is God, can love. Sex? Yeah. Love and feelings? Nope. But at the end of the series, the creators managed to resolve the situation, smooth the situation, and everything somehow fell into place.
But the love relationship "Personal" storyline is not limited. There's also a detective component. The fact is that Artem Streletsky was tried under Article 110 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, namely in bringing his client to suicide. Well, given the nature of his method, that might be true. But it's not. And so our psychologist, among other things, is trying to prove his innocence. I'll tell you, the detective line turned out nice, but it's kind of crumpled.
In fact, the series hooked me quite differently. Trigger consists of 16 episodes, and each episode is a separate story. The story of a broken man. I don’t know how the creators achieved this effect, but every emotion, every problem, you will pass through yourself. You see what people become when they feel unwarranted guilt, when they lose someone close to them, or when they can’t say the simple and complex “I love you” at the same time. You marvel at how easy it is to break a man. I’m not one of the weeping people, but here I have felt a tear running down my cheek more than once. And thank you for that.
In general, the series is definitely recommended for viewing. It will definitely be in the top of my favorite series. Here you will get everything: aesthetic, psychological, and emotional pleasure. The trigger will make you think about a lot, analyze your actions, your behavior. It may even help you overcome your fears. Although it was a great disappointment and even horror for me to present the ending of the Personal Line, which almost crossed out everything else, I will try to forgive it to the authors.
The show is great! I highly recommend watching! And as Artem Streletsky says: “Only sick people go to the psyche department.” Don't forget that.
Artem Streletsky reclined from the zone where he was sitting for incitement to suicide. He is a psychotherapist with an original method of treating problems by bringing the patient to an extreme degree of psychosis, where he then directs him in the right direction. Artem returns to practice. But he himself has a lot of problems - a rivalry with his father, a departed wife and the hope of clearing his name, because he believes that the patient did not end up with himself, but he was killed.
Looks with interest, people are alive, play well. The main problem is that “vertical” cases are much more interesting than “horizontals”. And the film the further, the more goes into the horizon, respectively, interest decreases. The last two episodes are not interesting to watch. In addition, the intrigue of the “horizon” is fig, easy to solve. And it takes more and more time and, accordingly, the “verticals” also become truncated and schematic.
But it is done in any case very well, although sometimes by no means indisputable.
And the downside is Ivanova. I can't look at her, and it's all here, always the same role - a little evil animal sitting in a corner and wanting to bite everyone. How much can I do?
This is the first time I have enjoyed a Russian TV series of this kind. Influence of a template type etc. House and the like are noticeable, but there is no direct plagiarism. They play well, the plot is there, the action is delayed. I really liked it.
Personally, I have never watched Russian TV series before, except for the colorful and sophisticated 'Thaw' Todorovsky. Impresses the style of Bykov, like the depression of Balabanov and Zvyagintsev. And then in the top of the best Russian TV series of recent times, I stumble upon one main theme promising 'Trigger'. Figuratively, I would describe the essence of the review as follows: in the car (series), I try to notice only the shortcomings that are in it, often spit because of it, assert hatred for it, but still continue to drive. . .
The main character is a cynical and straightforward egocentrist who, according to all the precepts of script art, as befits the central actor, has unique abilities for psychology, namely the ability to mentally heal people by removing them from their comfort zone. I cannot argue with the effectiveness of this method. Artem Streletsky, after serving 4 years in prison, goes to his "Almighty" & #39; friend, who, conveniently, has everything to resume the psychotherapeutic practice of his friend. In parallel, he establishes a connection with his family and hires a young man who accidentally appeared in his life.
And it seems that everything is in order: there are interesting characters, a curious protagonist with all his demons, a clearly noteworthy idea, but with this the main drawback of this series is exposed.
Let's start with the protagonist. Working practice is given to the hero without difficulty, because he always correctly defines the problem and eliminates it. No moral torment, no complex riddles, nothing that would express the difficult process of labor. The character himself is a classic archetype of cynical hum, which, in my opinion, was brilliantly demonstrated and revealed in the series ' Dr. House' where all the above was observed. However, this image is still reinterpreted, because Streletsky here usually does not hide his own feelings, is not afraid to express sincere emotions and be attached to one person. And that's certainly encouraging. There are no claims to actor Maxim Matveev - the performance is excellent.
Moscow and everything connected with it. In the shortcoming defined here, I would like to share a cry of the soul: why Moscow again? In all modern television series, this city appears, which gives the impression that Russia is limited to one city. I understand that this looks like a stupid nitpicking, but the number of shots with the notorious skyscrapers and high-quality European service, slicked in the context of our country, is extremely large, which gives the impression of intentional desire or fear, making the opposite, the creators to show Moscow exclusively in this light. And yet, the frames are lovely, there are no questions to the operator's work.
Daria's character. I really do wonder why Streletsky is in love with her. The heroine of Svetlana Ivanova is an interesting hint of a person whose character is revealed only in suffering. Her actions are monosyllabic, rash, and in the season finale reach absurdity.
Musical accompaniment. I really liked it. In particular, I can note a minor melody consisting of only three or four notes. It's simple, but it's beautiful. Other than that, the usual songs are in English. I do not consider this a disadvantage at all, just when watching they caused somewhat mixed feelings.
Overall, I liked the series. He has an interesting idea, he is full of all sorts of psychological aspects, good actors, a good plot, but in this, unfortunately, I do not see our, namely the Russian series. I do not believe that in Russia so many people need the help of a psychologist (meaning with voluntary urges), I do not believe that such a smart person in the person of Artem Streletsky can be in love with a spinless dummy Daria, I do not believe that the series depicts our country. And in this regard, he is terribly sterile, not brave, in everything imitating Western traditions. I mentioned director’s names for a reason at the beginning, because all of the works listed above have a style and a desire to recreate the authentic, real atmosphere of our country, in fact, defining national cinema, which, unfortunately, I did not find in Trigger. Many will find my words unconstructive, and they will be right. And yet it is a shame for the lack of truly bold ideas, even if we are talking about the main federal channel.
6.5 out of 10
It’s time to watch Russian TV series over the past six months. In the first place in the queue of viewing were the scandalous “Containers” with a magnificent, tough and uninhibited Daria Frost. Well done, well done, but I couldn't. Depravity must also be able to present to the viewer. The creators of Game of Thrones could. And Konstantin Bogomolov tried. What's next? Magomayev, Zuleikha opens his eyes? I was drawn to psychoanalysis. I love movies about shrinks, people with mental problems and a difficult fate. When you're gloating, you're still not so run-down. Joking. Just the husband of Elizabeth Boyarskaya Maxim Matveev is beautiful as dawn. What radiant eyes a man has! Long life and health of this beautiful couple.
Do you like cynical heroes, wounded souls, exuding sex through the screen? Have you watched the BBC’s Sherlock and Doctor House and want to continue the banquet? Maxim Matveev in the role of extreme psychologist Artem Streletsky wants to extend. Give me two!
It is clear that there is a canon and before us a peculiar set of heroes-stamps: intelligent and cutting on the sick Sherlock Holmes, his sweet and ethical assistant Dr. Watson, insidious and frostbitten villain Irene Adler. This role was played by a sexy blonde Victoria Maslova. In the best traditions of "Basic Instinct" (1992). Professor James Moriarty, who weaves webs of intrigue around the city, is, too. I won’t spoil who is watching the movie. It came out very organically. Triple bottom. Great respect for the writers and the entire crew. Of course, without charismatic actors, whose sexual energy literally shimmers through the screen, nothing would have happened.
Provocative therapy is an unusual genre of psychological counseling. For extreme people who love action life and forbidden techniques. One of the brightest representatives of psychotherapists in this field is the now-living Irish grandfather Frank Farelli. In the work, the doctor touches on very painful moments, such as self-esteem, physical disabilities, age, the proximity of death, intimate relationships. The patient is involved in an emotional experience, the doctor reveals to him something that is scary to think about. This is a conversation with the devil’s lawyer. A specialist who consciously takes a negative, opposite position, and makes arguments in its favor. This is interesting, friends.
This is not just a psychological thriller full of unexpected twists and turns. This movie is about you and me. For example, I worked through some of my old childhood and youth traumas. I survived, I cried, I moved on. This is a film about the mistakes of the protagonist, and how he corrects them. Psychologists are also ordinary people who make mistakes. You can live as you like. It's important to know exactly what you want. But while provoking other people like the protagonist, awakening their inner dragons, it is important to understand that you are looking into a dark abyss. As Friedrich Nietzsche said, “He who fights monsters must be careful not to become a monster himself.” And if you look long into the abyss, the abyss also looks into you.
I recommend it.
You know, the Trigger series has become for me a certain bar, which should meet our film product. I have previously written in other reviews that I do not approve of the series in the format of such Dasha-traveler - when one series corresponds to one of some business, which in the end is successfully completed, good wins, and villains are punished. Trigger also suffers from this, but.
Each of these ' case' in this series - something incredibly interesting, deep and informative. It is not the fault of the series, if narrow-minded people, after reading one book of Freud and watching 16 episodes, think of themselves as great psychologists and go the method of Streletsky & #39; treat & #39; their friends. Writers and directors have done what is required of them - a well-calibrated story with main and sidelines, interesting characters and three unexpected, really knocking plot twists. Alas, you can’t spoil here, otherwise I would have painted something else that surprised me, but I was very excited about some moments when you just sit with your mouth open and then scream. In the sixteenth series, it happened twice.
As for caste, there are both remarks and incredible, wild approval. First, I want to start directly with the main character: Maxim Matveev, about whom I previously did not know, is now one of my favorite Russian actors, because not everyone can play simple human habits so qualitatively and reliably. Yes, his character speaks confidently, exactly, boldly, looking down on most people, but at the same time when Artyom is confused, when something happens not according to his plan, something is wrong, you believe every sniff, every slug, pause, you believe the way the hero speaks in an unforeseen situation. Indeed, Maxim Matveev was chosen for the main role for good reason, and I want to review other films with his participation.
About Svetlana Ivanov not particularly want to talk. It is not the first time I see her in TV series, and our & #39; first meeting & #39; was not the smoothest - the series Grach, firstly, was disgusting in itself, and secondly, the character of Svetlana, (also Dasha) was very repulsive. Immediately we see again that the actress plays the same Dasha, even the same name. I have nothing against Svetlana herself, but it is difficult to speak objectively when she is given a second job in a row by an unpleasant hero, so in Trigger Dasha is even worse than in Grach - a hysterical woman who commits rash actions, suffers because of these actions and always blames everyone around her, except herself. But, if it was intended, Svetlana played well. It is a pity that such a character. I don’t want to talk about other characters, but I like Lera very much. Matvey, of course, is also an interesting character, smart, resourceful, but not so much hooked me.
I definitely recommend the series, especially if you are the same person who will not go to try everything he saw on himself and his friends. You're not Artem Streletsky. You will not be able to calculate all the conventions, your life is not a preconceived scenario. Be conscious, and then the series will bring you more pleasure than then problems.

I watched a couple of episodes. Actors don't play very well - at least some, including GG, feel like he's just reading the lyrics. But the writers do the job even worse. According to the idea, GG should be smart, wise, must understand people and life - otherwise, from what bodun does he suddenly work as a psychologist-advisor? However, when a girl appears before him with complaints from acquaintances about her aggressiveness, he, although he guesses that it is all about the lack of personal life (well, a genius here is not necessary), and the reason for him is one: if you are attractive, then it is all about psychological trauma! Brilliant! I mean, the woman, if you want her, by default agrees. The idea that she's just decent and out of a relationship because she didn't fall in love doesn't even come up. We also have propaganda of a rampant and depraved lifestyle, all women "sh" a priori. When it turns out that a loved one was, but died, our psychologist immediately gives another brilliant solution - finds her a similar man. Like, sleep with him, and everything will pass. Well, of course they do, right? A similar man will make her happy right away. That's crazy.
The hero is presented as intelligent, but at the same time shows a very narrow-minded view of the world. He constantly scolds those who believe in the afterlife, although any truly intelligent person realizes that he knows nothing about the world in which he lives, so he will not be so categorical. Moreover, it will not ridicule its clients, since it is not tactical, especially since mental communication with the dead and the belief that they are somewhere near will give a much greater therapeutic effect than this “method”. And the method, by the way, always comes down to aggression, violence and lust. You can see attempts to equal the famous Sherlock or Meglin, but only here the emotional coldness of these characters is justified, they are actually smart and observant and cause the love of the viewer, so the creators of “Trigger” can only envy – they failed.
I’m a big movie lover, but not a fan of Russian TV shows. And I can't even call that prejudice. I tried to watch this or that series - almost all of them "passed" by me, just like in that saying: "in one ear flew, out of the other flew." No modern Russian TV series has left anything behind, in terms of enrichment of spiritual, mental or aesthetic, with the exception of "The Master and Margarita" by Vladimir Bortko, but it is still something else, besides, according to the novel by Mikhail Bulgakov, which I adore.
And here I have a purely modern product, and not copied from the West, but quite independent. And at first, when I came across short commercial trailers, I didn't even accept them. But there were so many, and they were so intriguing. In general, even I got caught (a person, judging by one psychological experiment, is ninety-eight percent unadvertising).
And now, after watching Trigger, I can say with confidence that it is an incredibly interesting, intriguing, contrasting story, in which there is a lot of beauty and food for the mind and soul. Honestly, for me, this series became a kind of aesthetic and spiritual ecstasy. The last time I enjoyed the show was when I watched House. I didn't expect it.
Every picture is a pleasure for the eyes. Each series is a fascinating story, a puzzle, which, nevertheless, pales against the background of the personal story of the main character - psychologist Artem Streletsky, who is trying to prove his innocence in a crime for which he has already been punished, as well as build a relationship with his ex-wife, and somehow reconcile with his father.
And he, a psychologist with non-standard methods of work, is the basis of history, the foundation on which everything rests. He is both a hero and an antihero, hypnotizing with his charisma. While watching the series, I never once caught myself thinking: even if Streletsky was a charlatan, he would cure me. Just through your crazy charisma and the power of persuasion. And, in my opinion, in any story it should be this: the main character should determine everything, and the story unfolding around him is secondary, it is just a beautiful addition, background. At one time, “House” also conquered me with this – a completely non-standard, not fitting into any framework, shocking with its behavior, a charismatic character.
But whatever the idea, you still need to put it into practice. And the way Maksim Matveev did it, in my opinion, is brilliant. Not without the merit of the director, of course. Artem Streletsky turned out to be so alive and real, I was so impressed with him, so I was able to feel and pass through all his problems, that in the end I perceived him almost as a close friend. How rarely do I meet such interesting and elaborate characters in the cinema, especially in TV series.
I especially liked that Artem Streletsky turned out so complex and ambiguous. In working with patients, he is tough, understanding and controlling the situation; shocking with his approach, giving the impression of cynicism and even inadequate. And in relationships with loved ones, attempts to get to the truth - almost helpless, lonely and lost. Those who knock on a closed door in despair, but still get their way. At the end of the series, I was so empathic that I was surprised at myself and glad that the creators of the series managed to do this. Bravo.
In general, I am delighted with the performance of Maksim Matveev, I do not know who could have played this role better, and in fact before Trigger I did not even know about the existence of this actor.
Now, as for "decoration" and "background," as I called it at the beginning. Yes, it is subjective, and I do not impose my point of view on anyone. And even though I've focused on the main character, it doesn't mean that everything else loses its value to me. Nothing like that. Even I wouldn’t be so interested in watching the “one-actor theater” without a fascinating story and interesting secondary characters. All the actors were good, very good. Everyone matched their roles, I got a tremendous amount of pleasure from their performances, from how they, too, managed to make their characters alive and real. Igor Kostolevsky, Victoria Maslova, Roman Mayakin – they were great in their roles. And Vladislav Tiron, who played Matvey... I just don’t have words – I burned from this character, and this is primarily the merit of Vladislav. It was amazing.
Probably, Svetlana Ivanova also played a good role, perhaps this is how her character was conceived - causing strong hostility. And as it turned out in the finale, this hostility was completely justified. So good, too. Episodic roles, characters of individual storylines – all were in their places. The only thing that didn’t impress me was the performance of some of the kids, so maybe I should have tried to select better actors, because I know how some kids can play, so age is not an excuse. But, of course, these are inconsequential little things, against the background of everything else.
If someone has aroused distrust about the strange, provocative methods of work of Artem Streletsky, I can only say one thing. Guys, it's a feature film. Whether or not there is a method like this doesn’t matter. The main thing is that as a person without a degree in psychology, you believe in what is happening, you enjoy a fascinating story, and is this the most important thing?
As for me, I give this series the highest rating, I add it to my favorites, I will definitely review it. I hope for a second season, although the finale of the first season is self-sufficient and genius. It may be the perfect ending to the story, but it also does not exclude a sequel, for which I give an additional point to the writers and director.

The series “Trigger” is not just a story about the unusual method of work of psychologist Artem Streletsky. Although each series is a new patient, a new problem, a new trauma, a new way to heal and restore harmony to human life. “Trigger” is, first of all, the path of the protagonist, his desire to find the truth and prove his innocence in committing a crime for which he has already served in prison, his desire to build a spiritual relationship with his own father and return the love of his ex-wife. Maxim Matveev is beautiful in the lead role: and if in working with patients his hero is full of professionalism, determination and audacity, then in relations with loved ones he is hurtful and this communication is often painful for him, and all these feelings the actor managed to show perfectly. In the last two episodes, this is especially obvious: Matveev so vividly conveys the suffering of his hero that it seems to the viewer that Artem simply will not survive all the troubles that fell on him, and the viewer himself feels all this pain.
Two more heroes of this series, which fell into my soul are Matvey, Artem’s assistant, and Denis, the best friend of the main character. Matveya is played by a young actor Vlad Tyrone, whom I had previously seen only in “Trigger”: in “Trigger” his character is incredibly charming, strong in spirit and liked by the viewer from the first series. Matvey goes through an amazing path of growing up, he is ready to serve the cause of Artem and all the problems that he has to solve reveal him from the most positive aspects.
Denis is played by Roman Mayakin, an actor who I associate with the TV series Sweet Life and the film Without Borders. Denis is a successful businessman and a good friend: since his release from prison, he has always supported and helped him. First you see that Denis is like the other characters of Roman Mayakin: rich, charismatic, a lover of women. But gradually, this hero opens his soul to the viewer, showing the heart injuries that are hidden behind a smile and a thick purse.
The series “Trigger” always wanted to compare with the series “Method”: the same producers, many actors who play in both films, extremely unusual and often shocking images of the main characters. But if in the "Method" each series keeps in the strongest tension, each crime is shrouded in mystery and the viewer watches with great interest how the heroes of K. Khabensky and P. Andreeva reveal these terrible crimes, then in "Trigger" often patients who come to the reception to the psychologist Streletsky do not touch the soul and their problem seems frivolous, and therefore the series dedicated to such an episode seems boring: you watch only to enjoy the game of Maxim Matveev and observe the personal life of his hero.
Have you seen Trigger? Do you want to talk about it? Well, then we're coming to you!
Slowly, Russia is becoming more and more civilized country and modern world trends reach us. If earlier people relieved stress in the kitchen, or in the garage with a friend, under the cheerful gurgling of a bottle and the crunch of a pickle, then with the growth of well-being and the associated problems, this method is no longer commilfo.
A person now turns to specially trained people who solve his problems. You can be treated for a long time and without a guaranteed result (type of therapy), or you can - quickly, but it will hurt a little (such as surgery).
This is a film about the benefits of the second method.
A young psychotherapist who has problems in life with everyone with whom he can - father, sister, wife, friend, besides - who spent time under the article "inducing to suicide", directs the brains of his patients, whose childhood was even more difficult than his.
In general, nothing particularly new - the principle of "wedge kick out" is not the main character invented, but he successfully applies it in his field. Not always in humane ways (for example, locks the patient in the barn and sets the barn on fire), but always with constant success.
The end justifies the means. The patient is in shock and a second session is usually not required. And who would like to get a second appointment with such a specialist. If you don't want to, you'll get well. The only misfire happens to a pretty girl, Leroy. Seems like the session was good for her, but not to the end. Additional sessions had to be held. In a more intimate environment.
In addition to the finished plot in each series, there is a cross-cutting action in the film - the hero wants to get to the truth. However, when he digs into it, he becomes so unwell that he is ready to jump off the roof after the mother of his former deceased patient. Since the second season of this series was announced, it can be assumed that he did not jump.
Despite some shortcomings, the film can be watched. By the middle of the film, you are a little tired of essentially repetitive situations using the method and the naked torso of Artem (M. Matveev), but you are waiting for the next series and the denouement, and what else to expect from a psychological thriller. Well, not psychological, really.
The plot of this series is as simple as a faceted glass: Convicted of “inducing to suicide” psychotherapist Artem Streletsky is released on parole, and wants to prove his innocence, and restore the destroyed relationship with his ex-wife. On this plot skewers writers strung a joint of office roach, complaining from received in a selfless struggle for money injuries, and wanting to quickly get rid of these injuries.
The main character is conceived as a mixture of Holmes, House, and the devil knows who else - a kind of light, champagne genius, playfully versed in the most complex psychopathologies. His bloodshot eyes are actually powerful X-rays. Where other therapists need months of work, he makes a diagnosis with a cursory glance. A feature of his method is the conscious provoking of the client, bringing him to the very situation that caused him injury. Re-experiencing a traumatic situation should play the role of a trigger, a trigger necessary to trigger the chain of mental reactions leading to recovery.
In communicating with patients, Artyom is tactless, cynical, rude, and in addition, he is a liar, a troll, and a womanizer. He is sullen, withdrawn, has an unpleasant manner of analyzing everyone around the clock, starting with his wife and ending with his only friend. In other words, he's just sweet! It is so unpleasant that it becomes a form of charm. In fact, Artyom’s cynicism is just a mask, the armor behind which hides a weak, vulnerable, traumatized, severely stressed person. Several times we are shown his true face, the face of a crying boy, as lonely and frightened as his patients. His risky runs in front of cars rushing along the track are a way to deal with stress. The phrase “doctor – heal yourself”, is more relevant than ever.
The series is very unusually shot. A rare series does not show the naked body of the protagonist. The parade of Freudian relics is repeated with alarming regularity. What does the director mean by that? I'm not a psychologist, I don't know, but there's probably some deep thought behind it. The operator suffers from a mild form of Parkinson's disease, or (as an option) does not have time to get hungover due to a busy shooting schedule. Look at the footage of Artem's jogging. The camera pokes him in the face, in the skinny ass of work, and we can even read the name of the company - the manufacturer of jeans, then the operator treats us with alluring views of the top of Artem, a couple of times the camera will friendlyly massage the groin area, and finally - it will come to a horizontal position. I think that the Oscar for camera work is already prepared, and is waiting for its owner. Beautiful soundtrack. The owner of a soft, like a proctologist, voice, so sensually pronounces his anytime that my cat on the neck hair becomes an end.
A very interesting storyline of the film is the relationship between Artem and Matyusha. By analogy with the novel “How steel was tempered”, this film could have the title “How Matyusha became mature”. For 16 episodes, we see a powerful rod crystallize from a dandelion boy, a potential maniac, and a mama's son with a funny hairstyle (let's call it "Bibirevo Afro"). Before our eyes, the sucker turns into a brutal macho. Artem tempers him with unusual errands: a trip to the prosecutor's office (a beautiful scene with candy), a morgue (cookies), boxing, sex with a girl - a seven-pood, Oh! we will be tolerant, and let's call her a body-positive. As a result, Matyusha turns from a freebie into a partner. I'm the only one who thinks there's some understatement in their relationship with Artem? All these kisses to the top, the sheep’s glances that Matyusha throws towards the boss’s bed, what hungry eyes he looked at the stripper in the nightclub... This baby is not as simple as it seems!
The main drawback of the film is the extremely unsuccessful female images. Do you like his ex-girlfriend - is that a pale-headed thing? Why does he love her? It has no beauty, no charm, no grace. Always pinched, fettered, as if waiting to be hit in the jaw. I don't understand. Valeria. In the plot, she must play a woman - a vamp, mysterious, dangerous, unpredictable. But her acting range is very limited. For most of the film, she stares bluntly in the face of the interlocutor, exhortingly opening her swollen lips. In those scenes where she is supposed to show emotion, she godlessly overplays, and utters her lines with some kind of oligophrenic torment. The most characteristic scene with Denis, in which she resembles a merchant from the bazaar, caught the client that he underpaid for parsley. “Hey, we’re sleeping with you, but no obligation!” Why? Who will be better off?
In general, the film is a very interesting, original idea, painfully familiar types (greedy dads, bosses - sycophants, calculating girls - all their own, native), sly, frog smile Matveev, detective (like) plot. Yes, the series with the sixth, working with patients becomes a routine, the script sags significantly, but you are still drawn to the screen. The last episode spoiled the impression of the film. Scriptwriters hit some kind of Brazilian, where all each other's brothers, relatives, and now - here will begin to show the same shape of the mole, and pour tears of tenderness. The final cliffhanger gives hope for a second season.
Bottom line.
The creators managed to write a successful portrait of the Sobyaninsky middle class, tearful, hysterical, and suffering from neuroses.
I'm a TV lover. Yeah. A fan of Dr. House. When the Russian house came out, he spit and swear. Tupo was remade with Russian actors (disgustingly selected). I had already lost hope of meeting with the Russian TV series, who will be forced to run home after work for the next series. And here he is, Trigger.
I'm not a doctor. Not a psychologist and with the methods of work of psychologists is not familiar. Therefore, the opinion is only as a spectator of the spectacle.
There's a lot to see. The actors are chosen in such a way that they do not cause rejection at all, everything is in its place. Ghouls are like ghouls, treacherous beauties are naturally stunning bitches. And, in my unsophisticated opinion, everyone plays as they believe. No need to constantly remind yourself that this is a movie. Just watching the twists and turns of the story. Separate series exactly like house - patient, problem-solutions - healing. Except that the thoughts of the head. hero is not, although here he is not impeccable. He could be wrong, too. And even admit it.
The patients under consideration (aka series plots) are quite themselves. There are from funny and cute to harsh reality.
In general, I can absolutely responsibly recommend the series to watch, from the series do not break away. The only thing to remember is that this is a movie. And try on the role of psychologists is not worth it. How not to become a doctor after watching houses and other clinics.
The topic of psychology, psychotherapy, if not often present in foreign cinema (for example, “Analyze This” with Robert de Niro), then in domestic cinema this topic is new.
But if not all people have their own psychological problems. They can be in great people, becoming unconsciously the basis of their creativity: literary works, musical creations, paintings, helping many people.
And the idea to stage a series about the main character of a psychotherapist is interesting and unique.
The series "Trigger" about such a psychologist, psychotherapist Artem Streletsky (Maxim Matveev). He is approached by heroes who cannot help themselves, so they need the help of a person who is able to help them - to see the roots of the problem in their hidden depth, if possible, to get rid of the problem. At the same time, the Hippocratic oath: “do no harm” psychologist Artem is also simply obliged to observe.
How does Artem conduct the primary reception? As a high-level professional, in detail, he is able to deeply see the inner world of a person, his unconscious, to see the deep foundations of the human problem, almost always unmistakably. In a few phrases, it can shock a customer by starting to lead them to a problem. And then he says the phrase: “Meet me tomorrow at so many, I will reset the address via text.”
He puts himself above the patient, the client, you can say that he behaves arrogantly. The first reaction of patients varies from shock to protest. But they usually all decide to follow a psychologist. And then the most important element of Artem’s treatment is shock therapy. That is, as a professional, he immediately finds a deep problem. And his method is to take and press in the most painful place. On a household example, you can compare: if a person slipped on the asphalt, ripping off a little skin, then a solution of hydrogen peroxide, or iodine, is taken and brought to the wound. And we understand that at some point a person experiences a burning, unbearable pain, then everything passes and becomes easier. That's how Artem works. He brings iodine to the sore spot and cauterizes it. The problem is that before healing, a person experiences pain, psychological pain, stress. Artem takes the patient out of the comfort zone, outside of which everyone is uncomfortable. But it is by overcoming this pain that a person is able to heal. For example, a patient with claustrophobia (fear of enclosed space) is led by a psychologist into a barn, which is set on fire. The fire will be extinguished, but what horror does a person feel during a fire? Many problems relate to a person’s personal life. For example, a woman suffering from infertility, a psychologist forces her husband to make love from six to twelve, locking her in a closed room.
In the series, patients usually come to a certain result. The psychologist’s method works well. But in reality, things can go far wrong. Because when this shock method of pressuring psychologically painful points is used, each person can react differently. Someone will be unable to cope with difficulties when a professional psychotherapist takes him outside his comfort zone. After all, it is no coincidence that Artem has had an unsuccessful experience with this method in the past. If this method of shock therapy can be applied, it is far from every patient, the psychotherapist must deeply and subtly consider each time the individual characteristics of his patient, remembering the Hippocratic oath. So my review is neutral.
And it is no coincidence that Artem’s father, played by Igor Kostolevsky, an experienced psychologist, does not quite agree with his son, Artem has a misunderstanding both with his father and with his ex (Svetlana Ivanova).
And Artem himself reminds partly Sherlock Holmes in his self-confidence and logic, then Sigmund Freud himself. But at the same time, Artem has his own psychological problems, the answer to which he must find. Maybe not without the help of others. It is not uncommon for a psychologist to try to help his patients find agreement with themselves.
But the method of shock therapy is still ambiguous and the therapist should not always use it.

The theme of the hero in the perception of a colleague
Yes, I read what the professionals wanted to see.
I sinned too. Now in the fourth series.
In the artistic sense of the consumer: intriguing and sometimes shocking. Well, what actually should be in the series on the First channel.
But probably every viewer will think – can it really be so? I'll disappoint you. The hero of the film, for all its ostentatious effectiveness, goes beyond the space of psychotherapy. Despite all the scenario miracles allegedly taken from life.
He is tactless in the first place. This is beyond the scope of psychotherapeutic art. He, pretending to make infallible judgments, crosses the line from therapy to shamanism. Yes, there are people, and even customers, hungry for miracles. Yeah, he'll fit them. But the effectiveness of life improvement is comparable to the instructions of the “god Kuzi”.
He's self-centered. How often he speaks to a client doesn’t interest me. He claims to be an oracle. He wants to be obeyed, believing that his prescriptions are unique and visionary.
Yeah, that kind of charismatic belief can break the will of patients by making them believe they'll be fine. But now, formerly slaves of circumstances, they become his enthusiastic slaves.
The purpose of this therapy is to help clients become free. And that's not what's happening here. What is being done?
(a) Knocking out of the pattern. Dismisses, insults, sends with decent people to bring them out of the template. Yes, it's used in therapy. But carefully and without the humiliation that is practiced by the prototype film always. That's a principle for him. Do not leave a person outside the usual “comfort zone”, helping to orient themselves in this uncomfortable space for personal growth, and necessarily indicating where the exit is to obey him.
(b) Next, he knows what to do. Hurt my mother. Get the patient out the door. Declaratively withhold assistance. And then make you believe it was for your own good. What they practiced (according to the latest data, the leaders of the Christian community “Ark”, assuring the ladies of their entourage that “Jesus loves (fucks) you through me).”
c) And people who have broken down, people in crisis, begin to believe his brutal impudence, thereby changing the content of true unworked grief to a cheap motto - "If you do the right thing (and I will tell you how), everything will be fine." And he finds a circle of grateful followers, so clearly against the wise song of A. Galich “To be afraid of those who say “I know how to”.
So watching this film, it is good to understand that there is no psychotherapy and observing in your psychologist provocative-manipulative notes, then meekly but surely ask - "Why?" And if you do not get an answer that suits you emotionally and rationally, claim the fee back with a fine for unprofessionalness.
He began to watch exclusively for the sake of his beloved and rarely pleased with his roles Igor Kostolevsky. And immediately was caught by bitter disappointment - Kostolevsky is too few, and he does not draw this indistinct confusion alone, for this even such a master needs twice as much screen time and an order of magnitude more convincing text.
In general, the series does not stand out much from the general background of its TV brothers. As usual, an interesting idea, an idea that the creators absolutely do not know how to implement. The method of "psychological provocation" used by the hero probably can help people, but it is shown in such a way that it causes only disgust. The hero of Maxim Matveev is a complete egoist, arrogant, hating everyone and everything (and with pleasure causing people pain and suffering), easily and simply violating the law (and of course, getting away with it), a manipulator with a completely incomprehensible motivation. “You destroy everything you touch,” his father (Kostolevsky) tells him, and that’s the only thing you believe. In general, the motivation of the characters, which should underlie such TV products, does not withstand any criticism. Accordingly, no dialogue sounds, and no picture looks. Beautiful women do not even look beautiful, modern interiors are annoying with their deadly artificiality. Matveev’s naked body is often shown (worthy), but the idiotic contemptuous grin, as if clinging to his pretty, slightly infernal face, excludes the slightest possibility of sympathy for him from the viewer. One could call his character Artyom the antihero of our time, but such high-profile terms hardly apply to body soap, which you just want to quickly throw out of your mind.
The soundtrack is depressive, and only increases the audience's anguish - what is it all about, why?
A couple of points just out of respect for Kostolevsky.
Before watching the Russian TV series “Trigger” you need to understand two things. First, it is not quite a standard criminal detective, but at the same time a very atmospheric psychological drama with a hint of a thriller. Secondly, to reveal the whole background of the plot, you need to watch at least three episodes. One gets the feeling that the creators were so confident in the success of the project that they purposefully went on stretching the whole story, since in the first series we are only introduced to the hero, in the second they outline his approximate goal, and in the third, finally, the intrigue concerning the antagonists becomes clear, where one occupies the position of a specific villain, and the second, although it also harms, but does it for the good (for salvation), which is also very interesting in the framework of dramaturgy. But at the same time, the first villain in the four series still does not manifest itself. In this case, like the protagonist, the authors introduce him into history gradually and slowly.
As always, in all the series of the company "Sreda" the main character is a very controversial figure with a difficult character and serious "cockroaches" in his head. He is almost fantastically intelligent, talented and necessarily a true professional in his field. On the one hand, it all plays well on the plot for any series, but for this film company, such actions have become almost a template, which the creators adhere to for several high-profile projects ("Majeure", "Method", "Trotsky").
Either way, there is interest in the project. The main positive aspects relate primarily to good dialogue, successful casting and high-quality production. The disadvantages include the lack of dynamics in the actions of the characters in the plot, since the entire visual rhythm is absolutely artificial, created mainly on editing. Then in the series, or rather in the first four episodes, the sharpness of the main intrigue is completely blurred. There is no concern for the hero, there is no feeling that something threatens him. In the series, he is like an invulnerable superman, although even the original DC superhero in a red cloak had an Achilles heel, which was periodically used by various villains. Because of this, the main character of the series, although it looks brutal and majestic, but, in fact, is far from realistic. Thus, the authors immediately make it clear that the professional activity of the protagonist is almost fantastic in all its manifestations, being a kind of fairy tale for adults, but with very real household, family and personal gaps that he faces.
Another disadvantage is the musical accompaniment, or rather the title composition, which literally repeats the motif of the melody and the vocal stylist of the song in a foreign language from the series “Major”. Of course, one can understand the close friendship between the production manager and the composer, but if the author is not able to come up with (compose) a completely original composition, then this is a rather serious problem that needs to be solved immediately, since similar motives completely unnecessarily mix (weave) two different projects.
And yet, despite the criticism, the project deserves attention or at least a chance to watch the pilot series, where the first scene demonstrates a model of conceptual construction of the plot development, where even in an absolutely static version of the events in the scenes there is intrigue, style, plot hooks and deceptions, which, although not new in the script, but always cause vivid impressions. Have a good time.
