This film in the info field appeared quite suddenly and already at the release stage. I just didn’t see a big advertising campaign. However, the trailer and the stated cast are quite capable of attracting the viewer. The film got to me after the online release, and I watched it at home, but the emotions from it still turned out very intense.
Plot.God's Bug - the call sign of a skilled thief who one day in turmoil takes up his business ' colleagues' who became ill. His task is to steal the case, which is in the train Tokyo - Kyoto. Having penetrated inside, he learns that at least 2-3 known thugs are associated with this case on board, so there is a lot of competition. Who gets out of this train, and who stays in it forever? . .
According to the first, it seems that the plot is quite primitive, which is not surprising for the action genre. However, with each new minute, a new dose of information appears in it, competently prescribed hooks work in it, he holds a conditional intrigue almost to the very end. There is a drama, there is a mini-detective, there is a full-fledged fighter, seasoned with a good portion of comedy. Here, each fragment of the film is able to give some juicy emotion, and even so that it will not be repeated with the previous one. As a result, this is a very pleasant palette, leaving a positive aftertaste.
Characters. Let’s say that most of the characters involved give a clear disclosure and development. And for everything, there are either cut-scenes of flashbacks or simple dialogues, which is very pleasing. Yes, some characters are inserted into the film more as a tool to promote the plot or fill other characters, such as Maria or Hornet. But characters-functions have a place to be . I had more questions about motivations. For example, I never understood the original purpose of Prince or Wolf. It doesn’t really matter, though it should.
Guns. That’s probably the most enjoyable aspect of the film for me: a huge attention to detail. If a gun was hanged during the development of the plot, it will certainly shoot in the future. This is placed very bright accents (sometimes it even seemed clumsy). But the smile on the face still appears every time a thread pulled events together. It gives each action, each episode, each dialogue a special meaning and meaning for the film itself. You don't get the impression that some scene was shot for timing. This is very expensive.
Dynamics. It is worth admitting that the film is very good at the speed of its narrative. It speeds up, it gives you a little rest, like a good roller coaster. Fast moments fill with emotions from action, and slow ones give time to reflect on events. In the end, the viewer remains agitated, but not driven. A good balance.
Style. Of course, David Litch's presentation style after Deadpool 2 did not change much with the addition of this clichéd Japanese flor. Effects, transitions, inscriptions, piercing the fourth wall. However, the feeling of secondary almost does not arise, all this is built quite organically.
Game of actors. I will say briefly: Brad Pitt was very pleased. But everyone else kept a good bar, no one knocked out (including actors-cameo, a separate portion of fun).
Mixing colors. I already mentioned that the film gives a very abundant palette of colors in the form of emotions. However, this aspect has both a positive and a negative side. If there are too many colors, then they will begin to mix with each other. And now you're laughing at a dramatic moment of death by inertia from a comedy episode or sitting serious while joking. The first causes subconscious shame, and the second devalues added humor. Yes, this rarely happens, but I personally grabbed a couple of such moments.
Denomination. Yeah, it's primarily an action movie. And it may not be right to charge him for predictability of the denouement. But still it deprives the viewer of worries for the heroes in tense moments. Actual invulnerability generates a feeling of a banal happy ending, which makes lose a very important emotion. To me, that was very much missing.
Message. It is also worth mentioning that in addition to the entertainment component, the film carries almost nothing. In terms of content, this is as meaningless and merciless action movie as most others.

A very good comedy action movie, capable of giving an extensive palette of emotions: from wild laughter to sadness and anxiety. He is very attentive to detail and concise in dialogue. Yes, not without naivety and convention, and the meaning is almost absent, but the aftertaste is definitely pleasant. Perhaps the film just fell into my mood (so re-viewing for me is mandatory), but now I can definitely recommend it for viewing.
Excellent non-trivial movie with original script, irony, humor, special effects and plot. Something reminiscent of Tarantino's films and some other paintings of a comparable genre. But it has its own identity, absurdity and even a little philosophy of life.
A movie for three, to be honest. I didn’t expect much from him, so I don’t have any disappointed expectations. In general, entertainment for a couple of hours will go away, but I did not experience much pleasure from it. What I liked is the actors: the cast pleases not only the main star Brad Pete, no less famous, at least in Japan Hiroyuki Sanada, but also a whole scatter of lesser-known names that I personally remember thanks to the series – Lemon and Hornet are familiar thanks to Atlanta, as well as the insanely good Karen Fukuhara from the Boys, who was given an undeservedly small role. The listed comrades did their job perfectly, and it must be admitted that almost all of them were allocated enough screen time and more or less cool dialogues (a tarantino clutter, although in my opinion, not very convincing) in order to give their characters to reveal themselves. The interaction between Brad Pete and the twins is especially good – I really didn’t want them to kill each other. The only problem is that the viewer is somehow too hastily introduced to these characters for the first 20-30 minutes. As if the author is afraid that the restless viewer will yawn and turn off the film if every 2 minutes he is not presented with a new hero with some of his chips, such as love for the Engine Tommy or the desire for spiritual development. And this is done somehow too deliberately the whole film, I want to say “Yes, I understand already, understood – this guy loves trains, can you not repeat it every 5 minutes?” And here also in some places deliberately, as for dumb ones, some plot twists are shown, for example, when Godbug and Lemon talk about a corpse, but each about his own, we are directly shown each of them. In general, the film offers us a “bravely twisted” plot, but it does it so that even the most inconsiderate viewer understands it, and this in my opinion is as cool as explaining a joke, especially if the joke is generally not bad.
And there are quite a lot of logical holes in the plot itself, which is the main drawback of this film. For example, we are told why there are no random passengers on the train, but where do all the staff of the train go, for example, the man who checked the ladybug’s ticket? What was the whole ticket-checking line for if he didn't finally kick him off the train or at least try? And the final scene is generally some nonsense, I will not describe what he does not spoil. As a result, all the plot holes are plugged by the fact that the main theme of this film is fate and luck, and that’s why everything is so strange and turns out.
As a result, a good movie-attraction, leaving behind a feeling of slightly slurred turmoil and generally a pleasant time, but without serious artistic value.
This is the story of a mercenary named God’s Cow, who boards a high-speed train to steal a briefcase and get off at a nearby station. But a seemingly ordinary affair turns into a survival game when it turns out that the train is teeming with assassins who also want to get the case. Now the hero has to fight for survival in order to complete his task.
I was waiting with interest for the release of this film because I like this kind of movie, such an action survival film, especially here Brad Pitt is involved one of my favorite actors films with which I try not to miss plus the director of the film was David Litch, who directed John Wick, Explosive Blonde, Deadpool 2, and he can make a crazy movie.
To begin with, I liked the unpredictability of the characters’ fate, because it was really hard to guess who would survive and who would give God his soul. In the film, events are developing quite rapidly, so to speak, from place to place in the quarry, there can be such places even comic presentation of events, I mean flashbacks, which reminded me of similar flashbacks in “Suicide Squad” in 2016.
Despite the fact that almost all the events of the film take place in an enclosed space - in a train, the film is quite dynamic and not boring events develop, new characters with their stories and motives constantly appear. In addition, despite the rather bloody film, there were quite a lot of funny scenes that could be said to dilute the increased cruelty of what was happening, which to me was quite funny. And here you can say such a remote spirit of Deadpool, I mean the style of storytelling, well, look at the name of the director.
Of course, I want to note the famous scenes of fights, shootouts, everything here is filmed very cool, especially everything happens in a confined space, which in my opinion makes it even more difficult to keep the degree of tension, in my opinion, everything was done in the best way.
The actors. Brad Pitt, God’s Cow, his character, as they say, got straight into a non-smoking car, or rather into a train that is just teeming with killers, but God’s Cow, a professional in his field, you can not just take it, you can add that Brad Pitt surprised in the image of such a hero, it was interesting to watch him.
Who else I liked so it can be said duet actors - Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Brian Tyree Henry, Mandarin and Lemon, the characters who turned out very funny and charismatic. Joey King, Prince, at first glance a cute heroine, which was not so simple, in this image King saw for the first time, turned out quite well. Sandra Bullock, Maria, her heroine was almost the whole film behind the scenes, but her small in-person appearance was bright.
In general, the film “Faster Bullet” turned out to be such a fervent action movie with well-staged action scenes, good humor, with a rather stellar cast, boring, dynamic, without intrigue, which was interesting to watch.
A high-speed train running through the expanses of Japan. Night flight. A professional mercenary, trying to re-realize himself and his life, a simple task and a bunch of strangers who, at first glance, are completely unimportant to the story and even more so to our hero. However, it turns out that the interests of some of the passengers directly overlap with the work of a reflexing operative codenamed Godbug. And then another passenger comes along. And more. And more. And now the whole train turns into a branch of the world ' John Wick' where every second if not a mercenary, then at least a member of a criminal gang, whose path somehow intersects with the Godbug, making oh how to sweat our hero.
David Leitch shot a first-class action movie, which can be confidently called one of the best projects of this year. This is a dynamic, fascinating spectacle with a multi-layered story, where there is room for even intrigue that persists until the very end, thereby providing some detective component, flavored with bright, memorable characters.
I don’t remember the last time I wanted to single out the script and the story as one of the main elements of interest. But 'Faster Bullet' definitely such a project. Throughout its two-hour timekeeping, the film opens up new facets of the story, showing another piece of the puzzle, from which the whole picture of what is happening and the place of each character in the plot are gradually formed. The nonlinear approach to narrative, in turn, gives the tape dynamics, which has a positive effect on perception.
Very worthy was the action, however, from the director of the second ' Deadpool' and co-director ' John Wick' to expect otherwise would be strange. It’s a great performance, the fighting scenes look very juicy. There is nothing to add, you just have to look.
Caste deserves a special mention. Brad Pitt, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Joey King, Hiroyuki Sanada, unexpectedly revealed for me Brian Tyree Henry and a few cool cameos and episodic appearances. ' Faster Bullet' the film is already insanely good, but with this cast the bar jumps just to heaven.
And, most importantly - 'Faster bullet' this is by no means a serious action movie. The film is full of humor, but high quality. The narrative, of course, contains scenes that can be called dramatic, but still for the most part the film tries to maintain a lighter mood. A certain amount of absurdity of what is happening definitely adds charm to the tape and distinguishes it from other projects.
Verdict: 'Faster bullet' this is the absolute mast of the watch. Without a shadow of irony and doubt, one of the best action films of this year is at least, which is highly recommended to be missed.
What would happen if the best assassins in the world gathered in one place (in a high-speed train)? Right! Nothing good! But could a man nicknamed God’s Cow (Brad Pitt) have known this when he boarded a train just to steal a suitcase? Of course not! However, everything that happens to him next is a kind of evil (very evil) joke of fate, because bullets begin to whistle around the main character and every attempt to get off at each next station only emphasizes: fate really laughs at God’s Bug!
The cast of the film is just a gun! And Litch is handsome in this regard! In addition to the fact that the plot is very many secrets and they are revealed during the train to the final station, so here also the appearance of some actors adds to the viewer’s questions. Well, it's no coincidence that Channing Tatum appears in the frame, right? Or Ryan Reynolds?! These are the world’s famous people!
However, in fact it turns out that David Leitch simply leads the viewer around his finger (but at the same time does not deceive, but only encourages to watch the movie to the end, because who knows – which of the guns hanging on the wall will shoot in the finale?!) In this respect, the director respect! I really looked to the end and waited... Waiting... Waiting... In addition to the two aforementioned comrades, there are so many stars involved here that any other film would crack and burst to pieces!
Brad Pitt, Sandra Bullock, Aaron-Taylor Johnson, Michael Shannon, Zazi Beetz, Hiroyuki Sanada, Brian Tyree Henry, Joey King, plussam Litch also played a small role, a regular in the image of a bad Russian Pavel Lychnikov is involved in a cameo, plus Karen Fukuhara, which you probably know from the series “Boys”, as well as Masi Oka – the star of the series “Heroes”. By the way, Litch played the same victim number 17, which talk about Limon and Mandarin on the train.
Speaking of the heroes of Johnson and Henry, I saw in them a kind of allusion to Vincent Vega and Jules Winnfield from Pulp Fiction. And the point is not even that one is black and the other is white, but that, like the characters of the famous film, Tarantino conduct a dialogue between themselves and do it with pleasure, adding color to everything that happens. The dialogue in the picture by the way is very bright and along with the incessant action for a minute they increase the drive from everything that is happening.
And the action in “Fast Bullet” is really so much that it oozes from everywhere! Litch, as a person who made such motion-packed films (John Wick, Explosive Blonde, Deadpool) and produced such films (Mr. Nobody), knows and masterfully uses everything that has repeatedly brought him success, plus his own experience as a stuntman gave him the opportunity to use all the tricks, tricks and his own knowledge to make the movie look in one breath.
In principle, the appearance of guys like David Leitch and Chad Stahelski in the film industry as directors is a great impetus to the genre of action film to breathe new life into it. The past decade has underscored this, because these guys know their craft and share the best they know. And the militants go to a new level, turning into a carefully planned, thought-out fascinating spectacle. Wildly dynamic, professional, with a twist (or sparkle).
“Faster Bullet” has the brightest dynamic plot, in which the main emphasis is on this. You should not look at this film to find some philosophy, try to see behind the bright tinsel intellectual cinematic fiction. This film was created solely for the viewer to get high from everything that the director has done. So that you turn on and view all two hours of timekeeping with popcorn in your fingers frozen on the way to your mouth.
Watching and listening is the main thing that is required when you put Faster Bullet on play.
P.S.
Litch and Pitt have already worked in several films together, and it was the director who was Brad’s understudy in Fight Club, Ocean’s Eleven, Three, Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
But look at you. I do not impose my opinion on anyone.
Brad Pitt with a group of friends travels to Japan
Hello, everyone!
Not so long ago, a new film by David Litch 'Faster Bullet'/'Bullet Train' became available online. I decided to watch it yesterday and today I am ready to share my humble and extremely subjective opinion on this matter. So here we go:
Brad Pitt in the form
The main role in the film is played by Brad Pitt. You can see that filming here is a pleasure for him. The high of what is happening is read in the eyes. In addition to him, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Hiroyuki Sanada, Zazi Beetz and some other stars who were pleasant to see in short cameos are noticed. Which, by the way, is quite unexpected. In general, the director managed to assemble a cool team of actors and from that even more saturate the events of the timing of the picture.
What's the movie about? The main character, a mercenary nicknamed God’s Cow, agrees to a new task instead of a retired colleague in the shop. The task is to get on the Tokyo-Kyoto train and choose a suitcase. At first glance, a simple mission suddenly turns into survival, because several elite killers travel on the train and each of them has its own task.
Dynamic and denting action from the master of similar scenes Litch. Attractive editing involves the viewer in what is happening, and the colorful picture does not let you get bored during small pauses between fights and shootouts. In addition, a lot of bloody spectacular scenes that raise the age rating of the film to 18+. A fascinating and intricate plot, stuffed with 'Chekhov rifles'. There are a lot of reasons to praise the movie, it is not enough to list all the papers. That’s only the film is worth watching only in one case – if you are bored and want to just turn off your head.
Aaron as Mandarin
From the moments and decisions of the authors that I liked, I note the appointment to the role of one of the killers Aaron Taylor-Johnson. Excellent choice! He plays one of two twin brothers who are not twins, nicknamed Mandarin. And damn it, he's so beautiful in this role! Their grater with Pitt’s character and hamstrings over each other make up a significant part of the humor of the tape. We need to talk about humor separately. Here he is sarcastically black, which adds a certain zest. In many ways, thanks to this approach and jokes, two hours pass in one breath.
There are downsides. At the end of the tape, when it comes to the final duel, the level of graphics is significantly reduced. You can see CGI... And the indestructibility of some of the characters of the film reaches a climax. If it were not for these two negatives, then my final score would be much higher. But for a pleasant viewing in company with friends, the movie is perfect! Take what to chew and turn it on. Make no mistake!
Does anyone else expect anything good from the militants in 2022? Personally, I consider them almost the dullest genre at the moment, and it does not matter whether it is a conditional Grey Man or a conditional Red Notice, John Wick or Nobody. All those secret agents, spies, assassins, mercenaries. All of them, all of their stories, in every possible way, were thrown into a mixer of script ideas, given out in all combinations and as soon as someone announces a new action movie, I hardly suppress yawning. But, nevertheless, sometimes it is not the film itself that is interesting, but what these or other actors do there and Faster Bullet has become such a project for me.
And as strange as it was, not only did I satisfy my curiosity, I also enjoyed it. Not that Faster Bullet is just one of his colleagues out there, but he definitely gives you more than you expect, and it comes as a pleasant surprise. The first hour of the film, or even the hour ten, I looked at the developing action almost without interruption, with unrelenting and even growing interest. In the first half of the movie is stunningly dynamic and uses its formula to the maximum - the N-th number of killers fight each other not just in a confined space, but in space, which itself moves at great speed in space. And all this with a plot time limit for all the key characters. Situations quickly flow from one to another, the layouts are constantly changing and I, as a viewer, together with the characters, can not relax for a minute.
The main plot does not carry any original idea or interesting disclosure. It's pretty standard for us to get a little bit of information here and there. Gradually accumulating, they must add up to a certain picture, so that then everything radically turned over during the final twist. This is all known, understandable and new, but even here the authors very skillfully use the existing formula and squeeze the maximum possible out of it. Information is given just enough and exactly such content to create and hold intrigue. And, most amazingly, it works out perfectly - I really wondered what would happen next.
The rift in the perception of the film occurred at the turn of 1 hour 20 minutes. No, it doesn’t get much worse, it’s more likely that all the things I describe above as pluses start to turn into minuses. That’s when I stopped the movie to see how much more I had to watch. When I saw him, I realized I was tired of watching him. But there was still about 40 minutes of some action ahead. The dynamics of the film, a lot of situations and information simply overloaded my brain and then my interest steadily weakened.
The absurdly kitschy character of the narration and dialogues, with curtains under well-known directors, also tired. Here the author failed to get into the middle and their imitation is constantly moving from quite good to completely tasteless and tediously ridiculous. As long as the brain is not tired, it is tolerated. It's starting to get really annoying. In addition, traditionally for militants, the final showdown was completely failed, which is simply embarrassing to watch. The action becomes too implausible and graphonic, the absurdity breaks through all possible boundaries and it already becomes boring. I mean, faster than a bullet did make me yawn, but managed to hold out almost to the end.
Thus, in my opinion, the film’s flaws are almost entirely an extension of its merits, superimposed on too much timekeeping and not a 100% sense of the creators’ own style. Still, for its genre, it's an extremely decent film, especially in its first half. I am not at all disappointed that 2-3 well-known and beloved names inspired me to watch it.
I think many will agree that it is very difficult to surprise the modern viewer today and very few manage to achieve this. Especially if we talk about films of the genre of action films, which are not able to surprise even by turning into one continuous attraction from “bread and spectacle”. Definitely demanding a fresh and unusual approach to the genre. It is this fresh look and source of pleasant surprise and can be called “Fast Bullet” directed by David Litch and producer Antoine Fuqua.
The plot of this film revolves around a mercenary codenamed God's Cow, who replaces a sick colleague and goes on a new mission: he must get on a high-speed train Tokyo - Kyoto, steal a suitcase and get off at an intermediate station. But the implementation of a simple at first glance task is very complicated when it turns out that the composition is simply teeming with all sorts of killers.
It would seem that in a brief description, the script of this tape seems very simple and primitive. In fact, asking for a question about what can be invented that will retain interest and not slow down the narrative all two hours of screen time. However, the authors of this tape definitely failed. Obviously inspired by Joe Carnahan’s “Trump Aces”, the authors of this tape told the most atypical story within the framework of the action film genre, which willingly pleases absolutely everyone. A story that seems very simple at the beginning, but gets complicated and twists closer to the end. An abundance of colorful, interesting and charismatic characters, each of which is given enough screen time and who are perceived by unique personalities. Humor, which is great dilutes the narrative and does not turn what is happening on the screen into a banal clowning.
Director of this film David Leitch definitely shot one of the best and most interesting roles in his career, which stands out among the usual work of the director and shows the directorial talent of Litch from an unexpected side. Instead of a serious and "grim" action movie, we have a powerful symbiosis of comedy and action film, in which dizzying and hypertrophied action scenes willingly coexist with great jokes, comic moments and other fun. Thus, creating the impression of a sufficiently bright, dynamic and exciting film that allows you not to notice the closed locations of the bushy train and enjoy what is happening on the screen. Including due to interesting camera techniques, creative installation gluing and interesting implantation of flashbacks in the narrative.
Of course, one of the main advantages of this tape is a stunning cast, which can envy any director. Brad Pitt, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Hiroyuki Sanada, Zazi Beetz, Michael Shannon, Sandra Bullock and other actors just perfectly coped with their roles on the screen. Making the most of even the most modest amount of screen time. Especially in this regard, Channing Tatum and Ryan Reynolds distinguished themselves with really bright and funny cameos, which are perceived more than a return courtesy for Pitt’s cameo in “The Lost City” and “Deadpool 2”. The main stars of the picture in my opinion were Brian Tyree Henry, Andrew Koji and Joey King. Henry managed to create a very bright character and pull out most of the humor of this tape. Including his constant citations of Thomas Paravozik. Koji suddenly showed a previously unknown comedic talent to the viewer. King also managed to naturally reflect both the role of a cold-blooded bitch and the role of a defenseless “girl in trouble”, which her heroine exploits on the screen. It is a pity that only Karen Fukuhara in the picture is very small and she was not allowed to “wake her fists.”
9 out of 10
Faster than a bullet is definitely one of the best novelties and pleasant surprises (for me) of the year. David Leitch showed his directorial qualities from an unexpected side and created a very bright, dynamic, exciting symbiosis of action movie and comedy with gripping action scenes and excellent humor without turning everything into a clown. Not to mention the impressive cast, for which one is already worth watching the film.
I've seen a lot of movies in my lifetime. A lot of movies. Especially fighters. But there is a feeling that only after watching “Faster Bullet” I did not hesitate to scream: “This is genius!”. The degree of praise may vary, but in general it is 10/10.
In principle, making a really interesting movie in a very limited space is difficult. In recent years, you can recall a couple of pieces, everything else is a general cliché or painfully familiar plots in a beautiful wrapper (hello, Brana). To make a truly non-trivial movie in such conditions is fantastic.
The script is a continuous attraction, a plot roller coaster, when it is almost impossible to “guess the killer” or predict the next scene. Of course, real experts will come, but objectively more or less predictable can be called a few twists. Here is the whole script of twists, there is no time to get bored! And this attraction works due to the following components, each of which gives everything to the benefit of the audience’s attention.
First of all, it's humor. Classic, black - the most diverse, quality. Surely some of the jokes died because of the translation, but these are the costs that are compensated by the cloth, used extremely appropriately. But the main component of the humorous component is absurd. Yes, there is plenty of it here, but it only enhances the impression, not spoils it. It's very difficult to put into words. Even stupid scenes work well. I'm in the mood for all 100.
Action. Some fights end when they start. Some are suddenly interrupted. Some are well written and set. But there's a little bit of absurdity in everyone, and that's really cool. Thanks to this atmosphere, sins, fiction and other moments are forgiven, for which it is customary to scold both the so-called realistic militants and, on the contrary, unrealistic ones. Here Litch, in my opinion, is in absolute house.
The visual part. Not the most obvious point, but some scenes can not be called stunning (when viewing it will become clear what these scenes are; I can not share here, will reject). And there was so much money invested in the big stage that I would like to believe that all 90 million were spent in the right way.
And, of course, the actors and their images. That. Just. Gun. Phenomenal cast, in which everyone was given (I would consider it a gift if I were actors) a very cool role. Well, almost everyone. There's only one big exception. They literally live their heroes, which the writers also manage to reveal in time! Cameo, of course, pleased. And there were stars like that, fire.
“Faster bullets” is the best I’ve seen in years. This is at least a nomination for Best Original Screenplay. This is a movie that I will watch the day after I first saw it. If the reviews overstate your expectations, you can not worry - they will be justified.
Ask yourself if everything was going according to plan when you were suddenly asked to go to work off-duty because your colleague, for whatever reason, couldn’t. The main character, going out on his own business, gets into a whole kaleidoscope of accidents and amazing incidents ... just being on the train.
Check the movie profile if you haven’t done so yet. Beautiful posters, expensive-looking shots, Brad Pitt in the cast, average score (at the time of writing the review 7.6), the duration of the film is 2 hours. Are your eyes on fire? There's clearly something curious in front of us.
Once on the same train there is a Mexican mafia with a stain on his jacket, a maniac poisoner, an exemplary schoolgirl, the son of a Japanese mafia, two mercenary brothers and a killer visiting a psychologist. . .
And, in fact, the film pleases expensive modern production, sound, beautiful picture. ' Faster Bullets' delights with a large set of interesting characters who are different from each other, they are interesting to watch. There’s a little bit of a thriller component, because you don’t know exactly what the hell happens to the characters in the movie. Brad Pitt is habitually good, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Brian Tyree Henry are the main fanmakers in the film, and Joey King is just Joey King, which is interesting to watch.
Have you ever traveled on a train?
Then you know it's a hell of a long time.
Even two hours of screen time does not allow you to reveal all the above and not mentioned characters. Lovers of highly intelligent dialogues are also not here - there is a minimum of them. Having separately cool actors and the storylines of their characters, the film does not put them together well in one picture, there is no sense of completeness. The film seems a little long, some of the characters want to rewind from the first appearance. I’ve seen reviews of this movie compare to Tarantino or Richie, and I disagree. The only comparison here is 'Faster bullet' worse than the average level of these directors' films, there are simply no characteristic features of their styles here. It is permissible to compare at the level of a beautiful picture and an interesting caste and that is all. The film is set in Japan, but nothing Japanese except a couple of sets and Japanese actors.
However, the advantages of the film are more than the disadvantages and I would rather recommend it to you. The film is rather good, despite the large number of murders in it. There is a character with a funny vision of the world in which he wants to turn everyone he meets. It’s not easy and easy to understand.
Who's watching? For those who are not afraid of long hours.
Who can't watch? Children under 10 years old.
Where to look? For full immersion on an intercity train.
“Faster than a bullet”, and if you linearly translate the original name Bullet Train as “Bullet Train”, it will fly into your evening just like a bullet shell, cut off your past day, and on a ballistic trajectory switch to a series of non-stop drive and pleasure.
The film from the first minutes, without long preambles and introductory scenes, invites the viewer to walk along the neon streets of the Japanese city on the platform, grab ammunition in the locker, and after one of the main characters of the film - Brad Pitt, jump into the outgoing express train.
The train leaves, the action begins!
The viewer is greeted by a string of characters, each of whom has its own interest in being on this high-speed train, and the collisions of the heroes will be bright as the color of the stop-crane lever - the scenes of fights and shootouts look dynamic and cheerful, you literally savor every battle of opponents.
The plot is unpretentious, but by the standards of the militant he harmoniously in a comedic manner describes all the ongoing battles. And I am sure you have never seen such elaboration of the topic “Fate in a person’s life” as here. The militant, it turns out, can well reveal the depth of such a topic, and not worse than a serious drama.
Perfectly spelled flashbacks in the past lives of the heroes, you will see many creative branches in the plot. What can I say (and this is not a spoiler) You will literally follow the life of a character like a bottle of water for a few minutes! Also be prepared to see serious philosophical calculations of one of the characters in the cartoon “Thomas and his friends”. This film is not limited to creativity, and all these intersperses literally brought me to a sincere loud laugh!
The film is beautiful, it delivers vivid emotions, pleases you throughout the viewing. After watching a series of emotions will not leave you, and certain plot chips will be remembered, of course.
I highly recommend watching!
The script is based on the book by Kotaro Isaac. Killer Train. The film adaptation, if you take the detailed discrepancies with the plot in the book, succeeded. The story itself makes no sense, because you have to play a spoiler. Genre: tragicomedy played in a crazy rhythm. The meaning needs to be caught, and knowing the content of the book here helps to understand what is happening on the screen. And in the center of the plot is a killer named “God Bug”. His main feature is that he is a complete loser, or rather, a bad luck, but, despite this, always comes out of all troubles dry of water. Therefore, the film has a lot of such episodes, which does not allow the viewer to lose interest in the film (2 hours). God's Cow is played by Brad Pitt. Looking at it, the viewer is convinced that time is ruthless even to the handsome Hollywood. But he plays well. It doesn't spoil the furrows. I recommend a book and a movie.
Here are two roosters,
Who wake up that shepherd,
Who fights with a barn strict,
Who milks the hornless cow,
An old dog with no tail.
The one who trembles the cat by the spine,
Who scares and catches a tit,
Which often steals wheat,
Which is stored in a dark closet
In the house,
That Jack built. In the sense of the train that sent ...
Killer Train is a decent alternative name that could be. Since the number of killers, all sorts of bad guys, avengers and all sorts of greedy and bloodthirsty scumbags per square meter, more precisely the car (cars are rectangular, not the essence) is off the scale.
So, by the time Quentin is resting on his laurels and Guy is finally down, David Leitch (not to be confused with Lynch) has filmed something we've already pretty much missed. Namely, a black crime comedy-action, in which a lot of bad guys and ladies (after all, the testosterone world of sexism is long gone) go to... well, literally to Kyoto, on a high-speed train. Existential, each in his own way.
According to the canons of the genre in the frame there is a case with money, passing from hand to hand. Who is terrible ... Russian (and how otherwise, trends dictate the plot) the head of the Japanese (such is the sel-vi) mafia instructed to deliver to the destination, along with his uncomfortably scion, a couple of pros. They are Orange and Lemon (a lover of cartoons, which serve him as a book of life, knowledge of people... in short, the script was not written by me).
On the train, God’s Cow (well...) a mercenary who wants to retire (I agree, the topic is worn to holes, but played very attractively) knowing Zen with the help of a psychologist, pumping chakras, fighting anger and everything else, you understand. With the task of stealing the case.
Along the way, it turns out that the train is literally teeming with all sorts of killers. The number of corpses, real and imaginary, multiplies, the case changes owners and purpose, and the composition is approaching the final station, where the surviving rivals and competitors are waiting for the White Death, she, or rather he, the same and merciless. Who by that time announced that no one would come to the platform alive.
All this blood-soaked vinaigrette, of course, flavored with revenge sauce. There is not enough time to talk about all the components, such as a certain young lady hatching an insidious plan to kill Sweet Death by proxy. It’s a movie about karma, if you haven’t heard it yet. Take care of your pleasant, edifying view.
Brad Pitt and Hiroyuki Sanada as a lure, will cut off... Sandra Bullock (you know what I mean) doesn't count.

David Litch surprised. Surprised that many people cannot. Director John Wick made a very cool, explosive, dynamic and funny movie with a huge number of characters that you want to watch and with whom you really enjoy and get high. Since the time of Trump Aces, I have forgotten what criminal showdowns with such a variety of characters are. And all this happiness for some $90 million. It's just beautiful. Godbug, Prince, Lemon, Mandarin, Kimura, Elder, Wolf, Hornet - this is not all, but the leading characters for which it is a pleasure to watch, and everything is done with a huge amount of cool action, stories, and of course accompanied by a lot of fun moments, and humor.
The idea of gathering all the important people on the train didn’t look original, but the performance is simply incomparable, and all these fights to very cool music further enhances the effect of this film. A real action attraction, two hours fly by like 5 minutes. The director managed to show a funny story, reveal the characters quite well, there is a lot of blood in the film that makes the film even cooler, a mixture of funny and cruel. It was great.
Brad Pitt, we probably haven’t seen this Brad Pitt. No one doubts its high potential. But here he is a mercenary God's Cow, who in fact does not use weapons, gets into different situations, including comic ones. The most beloved character of the film, his luck of course was very fun throughout the film and high from the situations in which he fell. But his humor in some moments was inimitable, from the scene with the snake I was wildly delighted.
Joey King is one of the few female characters you can play. She was perfectly innocent with her cruelty. It was a pleasure to watch her play. Especially the way she portrayed the innocence of her character. The facial expressions are gorgeous. I made a movie of my own.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson, tandem Mandarin and Lemon to be honest was one of the clearest in this film. At first, their conversations and actions were a lot of fun, it seemed like they would be inseparable throughout the film. But everything changes in a moment. Mandarin was very pleased with his action moments.
Brian Tyree Henry, Lemon is a very cool dude. At first it seems very cool and confident, which reads people very cool. Then things change, the further you look at this guy, the more you get high on his style, and his anger in some ways. One of my favorite characters.
Hiroyuki Sanada, as always, is great. That's how he plays. Where he's avenging something with a sword. Typical role and he handled it perfectly. I got a lot of interesting comments from him.
Michael Shannon, he may not be recognized, at first it was. I'm not used to that hairstyle. The White Death certainly didn't get much playing time, but what it was, Michael played a hurrah. It is also a pleasure to look at this image. It is a pity that he was not given more time.
Sandra Bullock has even more playing time, but she came quite unexpectedly. I was very surprised to see her as the curator of God’s Cow. Played great.
Quicker Bullets is a great movie where the action, the characters and their disclosure are so cool that you have to see it, not talk about it. I have not seen such a dynamic and crazy movie in a long time. It’s one of the few movies I want to watch right after it’s over. It was powerful. . .
I wonder if it will seem ' blasphemy' to loyal Quentin fans if I compare this film with the creations of the master? Although, however, it does not hurt and wanted, because it is rather an association that arose by the end of the viewing, nothing more.
'Faster Bullets' turned out to be a strong, entertaining, spectacular film that abounds in a mass of funny, non-rejectionary gags, rigidly exploits the theme of invited stars, qualitatively maintains its individual style while managing to pay a kind of tribute to the original styles of such exceptional directors as the same Quentin Tarantino and Guy Ritchie.
And by the way, yes, if you think about it, it was with this couple that I had the most associations. This is their handwriting tends to wrap stories, mixed in the constant roll call of different characters and events in the wrapper of a stylish thrash, well, or grindhouse. Well, cover it all with original visualization - in this case, a kind of alaverda towards some anime.
And since we were talking about stylistics, David Lynch has his own individual style, which is perfectly traced in literally all the films he shot. Starting with his directorial debut - 'John Wick' (nothing like a debut), continuing 'Explosive Blonde', 'Deadpool 2', 'Fast and Furious: Hobbs and Shaw' well, now 'Fast Bullets'39;39.
And you know, I wouldn’t call any of these films outstanding, you can make well-founded claims to all of them, but what they can not take away is that they are remembered, do not disappear from memory without a trace, as happens with a lot of other popcorn one-days.
Moreover - 'Faster Bullets' to my taste definitely surpassed all previous works Litch, it turned out to be the most integral and entertaining. A picture where everything seems to be in its place. Here you and clearly beloved by the author of the theme of elite killers living in some of their reality, and well-thought-out, albeit very gaggy characters, and caste, time after time forcing any moviegoer to laugh, sometimes there, then with a fleeting cameo appears almost a star of the first magnitude. By the way, when the shot flashed Ryan Reynolds, I involuntarily remembered 'Deadpool 2' where also fleetingly on the screen lit Brad Pitt. And the presence in the caste Zazi Bitz and did the parallel line.
I note that until this point I somehow did not particularly single out David Litch, so I absolutely did not remember that 'Deadpool 2', this is his film. But after looking at the filmography of the director, the hunch that illuminated me during the viewing was confirmed.
In general, 'Faster Bullets' is an excellent entertaining movie that will quite brighten up the evening with a solid, sometimes cheerful action, filled with colorful characters performed by good actors. Stylish, modern comedy action movie, which with a light heart can be recommended to almost any viewer. Unless you are not embarrassed by the fake blood, which in some places here whips absolutely Tarantinovsky canons.
I liked the film, liked it very much, and after it I will definitely follow the further directing activities of David Litch.

The main character is hired to steal a case from a super-speed express train from Tokyo to Morioka. By some coincidence, other mercenaries with different purposes also travel on this train.
"Faster bullet." Who?! Brad Pitt or the Japanese Express? In fact, neither is the other. What’s wrong with the literal translation of “high-speed train”? It’s not just a train, it’s a high-speed train with a bunch of killers on it. Maybe it is, but in the original "Speed Train", so once again you wonder - Why do you localizers do this?!
What kind of movie has that theme? At the moment, there is a trilogy about the Belarusian “Baba Yaga”, one film about the female version of “Baba Yaga” (“Killer Code”), about a dude and a bracelet with cats, as well as about an explosive stereotype (“Explosive Blonde”). In general, all these masterpieces with entertainment violence, for the sake of violence.
"Faster Bullet" looks like the best of the whole company. This is indicated by the ratings of viewers. The reason is simple. The creators declared the movie at the very beginning as a light comedy action movie and did not go off this path until the end of the film. In other films, for example, “John Wick” and “Nobody” stated the drama, which eventually slid into absurd clowning.
The movie is quite funny. Interesting to watch. However, this format has been boring for a long time. More than ten years removed a solid entertainment, occasionally giving birth to the light, something really interesting, from which you can extract useful. What can we get out of here? Here I am trying to give something as an example, but I can not even remember anything in detail.
Gum. Chewed, spit out and forgot.
The story of five assassins who are in the same train racing through the Japanese expanses. At some point, they learn that their missions are closely intertwined and perhaps somehow connected. . .
The tape unceremoniously throws the viewer from the very first minutes into a dynamic trip, filled with spectacular muzzle, shootouts and a series of deadly fights. The film is a multi-layered pie, revealing the story gradually, through a variety of main characters or minor characters. Scene after scene throws up new details and brings us closer to an epic ending. And let all the plot twerks look rustic and predictable in places, but they are damn fervent and spectacular.
A series of actors, distinguished by their characters and behavior, black jokes and sharpness Brad Pitt about karma chain to the screen and will not be bored. A huge plus of the fighting scenes: blood and broken hari, shot limbs and chopped bodies - but all this does not look nasty, because it is served with a share of mischief and in a playful form.
In general, “Faster Bullet” resembles similar chamber paintings, where situational chaos occurs in a kind of “room”, gradually gaining momentum, like a snowball. And the film manages to withstand the drive pace for two hours, and in the end there is a powerful climax, sweeping away everything in its path in the literal and figurative sense.
Moral: If you don't want to grab a lula on the train, don't take stinky boiled testicles with you.
As a result, a stylish spectacular attraction without deep meaning, insanely carrying the viewer through a chain of all kinds of situations. Great option if you want a dynamic action, but without stupid monotonous scenes.

Great 2 hours! Easy, funny, but deep enough, albeit without any claims of excessive seriousness. Great camera work, colorful characters, well-staged fights. There are always unexpected turns of the plot, it looks in one breath. Great in general.
A hitman, played by Brad Pitt, replaces his colleague with a secret assignment on a high-speed train traveling from Tokyo to Kyoto. The essence of the task is simple: get on the train, steal a gray suitcase and give them to the head of the Japanese mafia - ' White Death'.
But everything was not so easy and simple. On the train are a couple of murderers, who were also hired by the Russian mafia 'White Death' He gave them one task - to deliver the suitcase safely, but did not warn about the existence of each. In addition to the suitcase, Mandarin and Limon (friends calling themselves brothers who work together) have a task: to deliver the son-loser of the White Death.
With the Russian mafia wants to deal with his own daughter Prince. She is smart, cunning and very eager to punish her father. She had to push the son of an enemy of the White Death off the roof in order to manipulate him to achieve his goal.
Over the course of two hours, the characters try to kill each other and take the suitcase. Of course, not everyone will reach the final station.
The plot at first glance seems very banal and predictable, but approaching the end it is impossible to guess how it will end and what surprises await us more.
There is a lot of humor, quite light and tasteful.
It was a pleasure to watch the amazing and professional performance of the actors. They fully convey the atmosphere and characters of their characters. This is a whole new level of cinema. The director of this action film is David Litch. Sometimes it feels like the director is Guy Ritchie, but David Leitch cleverly and skillfully created a blockbuster, alternating in it a fight with special effects. The need of the viewer in a colorful, hard, funny and drive film completely satisfied the cinema 'Faster bullet'
Unexpectedly for me, the film was in my personal top, although it was accepted for viewing without any sane expectations, and I learned about the film on YouTube half-eyed by watching the trailer.
Here you and drive, and humor, and amazing acting, and the color of the scenes, competent staging of figures in the narrative, easily digestible chronology of unpredictable events. At one point I thought I was shooting Guy Ritchie, very much in his style.
And as a lot of talented, charismatic actors fit into their roles, well, it's really nice. I do not underestimate the importance of little-known actors, but here, even in secondary and short roles, Hollywood actors unexpectedly appear, this is at least perceived with a very weighty taste.
The plot is not fiction, but quite fascinating, understandable, unpredictable, and therefore interesting. A lot of unexpected, funny, peculiar, but light humor, succinctly fits into an excellent role play.
Characters are not revealed from the word at all. Except that small flashbacks, more aimed at revealing the plot moments than the characters. But this in no way prevents the actors from perfectly conveying the character of their characters, everyone is interesting.
I will definitely note a good staging of fighting scenes, dynamic, beautiful and most importantly not fake. With special effects of course, but it looks cool.
Overall, a great cocktail of action, thriller and comedy. High-quality entertainment product, definitely recommend for early viewing.
The first rule of the hyperspeed train: do not mention the plot of the hyperspeed train!
And really, is it important here? Let's figure it out. Not that I am an expert in the construction of electric high-speed trains, and, in fact, why would I, but “Faster Bullet” is a summer action sapsan in which the gas pedal is squeezed into the floor, and the brain is put on a neutral. Yes, the pun will be a lot, get ready.
Expectations of the film play a big role. I almost never watch trailers, and in the case of Faster Bullet, the trailer is the most accurate calling card of the film. There are many battles, most of which are clearly associated with Asian martial arts. The fighting scenes seem relatively original, which is impressive in itself given how many other creative directors try to stand out in the genre. But do you expect anything different from Litch, who worked as a stunt double for Pitt for many years before moving on to directing John Wick, Explosive Blonde and Deadpool 2?
Litch's homage to Guy Ritchie with his "Big Cash" and Quentin Tarantino manifests itself in a scathing mix of violence, lunatic killers with blunt murders and excessive flashbacks, and the quirky character dialogues sound like they're being cast for the "Pulp Fiction" sequel. Somewhere in the middle of the film, you inadvertently think that you are actually watching Kill Bill with psychotropic irony, diluted with kawaii sweetness - all according to the laws of the genre. Maybe you should call the movie “Kill Brad”?
Oh, yes, I completely forgot - the central character is played by charming Brad Pitt, who can boast of his comedic abilities. His hero tries to leave his criminal past behind, choosing instead the path of peace and harmony, but attracts only one setback. This particular train, in which all the action takes place, is the meeting place of several serial killers with equally charming nicknames.
The only drawback of Bullet Train is an attempt to confuse the plot too much (heck, he broke the first rule). The feeling that Litch is struggling to invent all these complexities, plot twists, hidden plans and intrigues that at some point simply derail. The structure of the film, like a puzzle, is too stuffed with clichés that at first it causes laughter, and then you get tired of them. But in itself, it's as fun and energetic as a movie like that can be.
Just came from the cinema, immediately decided to state everything as it is, so that then nothing would be missed. What can I say, I am honored!!
I will have a non-standard distribution of items, get ready!
1. 'First impressions of content without the prism of euphoria'
Movie ' Faster Bullets' it's a literate mix 'Kill Bill' and 'Deadpool'
David Leitch is an excellent director, he managed to shoot both tarantinism and a stylish comedy action movie.
Here is everything you could expect from the trailer.
The film itself as a film adaptation does not correspond to the mood of the book, but this fact does not spoil the impression of viewing, I will say this: As a stand-alone film, this is an unparalleled film!
Why is that?
Because there are a lot of colorful characters in it, who are given enough timekeeping, although you may think that in the first 40 minutes of Brad Pitt’s film there are very few.
The plot captures and lives up to expectations, the storylines of the characters are intertwined and at the same time interconnected, nowhere it sags. Absurd humor is as present as it is without it.
The Japanese style is very beautiful, and the film itself is made entirely in the Japanese style, paid attention even to the opening credits and introductory scenes of the characters.
2. ' Analogy'
So, why did I draw an analogy with two other films - 'Kill Bill' and 'Deadpool'?
Why ' Faster Bullet' This is 'Kill Bill'? Because in some moments, the directorial handwriting of QT is clearly visible. Because many dialogues, these dialogues often carry a complete absurdity and ridiculousness, but this is appropriate. Also in the film, good Japanese style, good music and many colorful characters, each of which even has its own call sign - Ladybug, Lemon, Mandarin, Father, Prince, Wolf, Hornet, White Death, Elder.
The film has an impressive timekeeping of 126 minutes.
I can also notice that there are scenes - flashbacks, quite a lot, this is certainly not a nonlinear narrative, but it is unnecessary here.
Why ' Faster Bullet' This is 'Deadpool'? Despite the above, that is, the Tarantinovism, which is very well manifested there,
A good half of the film is a hilarious comedy action movie.
The fighting scenes were directed by those who gave us John Wick and Deadpool. The director is talented and knows what he is doing. It was authentic. The fighting scenes are very stylish. The operator does not suffer from Parkinson's syndrome as in the film 'Kingsman: Secret Service' or 'Kick-Ass'.
3. 'On humor'
Humor is, as I said, appropriate.
The film itself was created in a hurry! Closer to the middle of the film, one of the main engines of the plot is a bottle of water 'FIJI'. Even she has her own backstory and a separate flashback scene, even she is a character.
Cameo Channing Tatum breaks into tears, watch the movie yourself and check it out!
4 'The cast '
Brad Pitt is perfect, as always!
Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Kick-As Always
Sandra Bulok is less than three minutes into the film.
Cameo by Channing Tatum and Ryan Reynolds.
5. 'Cliche, karma, chance'
': Accidents are not accidental ' Well, at least in this film it's not so simple, someone is lucky, someone is not, it's funny.
6. 'Conclusion'
A full train of charismatic mercenaries, fresh colors. Camera, funny humor, cool action movie, interesting dialogues, non-standard solutions, coincidences, karma, accidents, clichés, interesting dialogues, music, cinematography, actors and their play, all at a decent level, long timekeeping, cruelty, tarantinism, blood, absurd moments, funny cameo Channing Tatum, a bottle of water. I liked everything. This is one of my favorite movies for a long time!

Quicker than a bullet (BULLET TRAIN) 2022
Well, finally something worthwhile lately, a grinding action from David Litch, who shot John Wick and Deadpool -2.
The mercenary "Godbug" (whose luck is absent from the word - soovem), performed by the incomparable Brad Pitt, who goes to a psychotherapist and tries to find his Zen (karma for him is not an empty word), replaces another mercenary "Reznik", who is sick, and takes the task - to pick up a suitcase from an ultra-speed train, which stops last exactly one minute, but, as usual, everything can not be so simple, and this case is needed not only by him alone.
A full train of charismatic mercenary heroes who do not pull the blanket on themselves, but complement each other and the overall beautiful picture (color scheme, costumes, shooting, and even Aaron Taylor-Johnson mustache, everything pleases the eye). Cool comic-clip performances of the main characters, cozy dialogues and playing the fate (failure/luck) of the characters makes you smile. Successfully selected music emphasizes the charm of the film.
I don’t even know what to find fault with, so everything liked, the only thing that Litch did not realize was the samurai abilities of Hiroyuki Sanada and the skills of hand-to-hand combat of Andrew Koji, playing father and son in the film.
There is a wall between us, but there is a window in it, mmm, or rather the door (c) of the ladybug.
The door to a decent, light, comedic action, with a cool hand-to-hand, the perfect protagonist, attractive secondary characters (especially Mandarin and Lemon), a couple of super cameos, with a delightful dynamic that you won’t even notice how two and a half hours fly by without thinking, sit comfortably on this train and enjoy.
