Quicker than a bullet (BULLET TRAIN) 2022
Well, finally something worthwhile lately, a grinding action from David Litch, who shot John Wick and Deadpool -2.
The mercenary "Godbug" (whose luck is absent from the word - soovem), performed by the incomparable Brad Pitt, who goes to a psychotherapist and tries to find his Zen (karma for him is not an empty word), replaces another mercenary "Reznik", who is sick, and takes the task - to pick up a suitcase from an ultra-speed train, which stops last exactly one minute, but, as usual, everything can not be so simple, and this case is needed not only by him alone.
A full train of charismatic mercenary heroes who do not pull the blanket on themselves, but complement each other and the overall beautiful picture (color scheme, costumes, shooting, and even Aaron Taylor-Johnson mustache, everything pleases the eye). Cool comic-clip performances of the main characters, cozy dialogues and playing the fate (failure/luck) of the characters makes you smile. Successfully selected music emphasizes the charm of the film.
I don’t even know what to find fault with, so everything liked, the only thing that Litch did not realize was the samurai abilities of Hiroyuki Sanada and the skills of hand-to-hand combat of Andrew Koji, playing father and son in the film.
There is a wall between us, but there is a window in it, mmm, or rather the door (c) of the ladybug.
The door to a decent, light, comedic action, with a cool hand-to-hand, the perfect protagonist, attractive secondary characters (especially Mandarin and Lemon), a couple of super cameos, with a delightful dynamic that you won’t even notice how two and a half hours fly by without thinking, sit comfortably on this train and enjoy.
8 out of 10
' Faster Bullets' flirts with the ignorance of the viewer and unexpectedly gives out one of the most adrenaline trips on the express genre of action-fighters that the film lover will experience this year.
Several colorful killers with varying levels of karma and bad luck board the high-speed train. Each of them seems at first busy with his own business, but the further we go, the more obvious it becomes the fact that all the repulsed persons who do not resist getting their hands dirty, and all of themselves, with a blood purple, are somehow connected with each other. Soon, the charismatic killers themselves are struck by the same conjecture. And that's where the meat grinder starts.
The one-way fun route is mixed with sparkling jokes, amusing dynamics between the characters and the bloody muzzle, and the kit is accompanied by poisonous snakes, anime dolls, grumpy old women, smart toilets and instructive morality from the electric wagon ... Excuse me. Thomas' engine.
And all this works as a coherent and lubricated mechanism. It is amazing how much is mixed in this stormy and hurricane cocktail of breathtaking moments, not even thinking to take a breather. What is it? In flashbacks, revealing the main characters, and those manage not to do away with inventive and dizzying action. So the driving attraction, which is the film, you are unlikely to get bored.
About the acting ensemble I will say that all wonderful, lively and cheerful, and the pleasure of the actors from participating in this picture is noticeable to the naked eye. They played moderately comical, moderately tragic, moderately bloodthirsty. No complaints, only deserved praise to talented performers, thanks to which the characters turned out bright and memorable.
Brad Pitt walks around in glasses and a stupid hat, trying not to get into trouble, but he does not succeed.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson is angry, frowning and killing indiscriminately.
Lemon Brian Tyree Henry shares Thomas's philosophy with anyone willing to listen. . .
Heartless Joey King flaunts in pink and pretends to be good, but does not shy away from dirty blackmail and the use of secretive explosives.
And the Noble Hiroyuki Sanada, as always, is ready to demonstrate the samurai skill of using the sword, not forgetting the code of honor.
The film was shot at the highest level, the fighting scenes are delightful, the production and cinematography are worthy. It was done with love and effort.
'Faster Bullets' is a filigree action movie that will undoubtedly brighten up the upcoming summer. Creative story, textured characters and spectacular action scenes are guaranteed to attract your attention to the mind-blowing two hours that fly unnoticed while watching this exciting film.
When people watch a movie, they tend to expect to see one of two conflicting types of stories: stories about themselves or stories about people who are not at all like them. In the second case, the characters can be wizards and superheroes, rescuers and brilliant doctors. But the second group with the same success are some heroic policemen and intelligence agents. Killers and killers are “professionals.” This group of dubious personalities could always attract the viewer with its negative, sometimes infernal charm, lack of any moral foundations, which made them in their own way omnipotent, endowed with special physical capabilities, incredible skills. But to sing to those on whom there is no place to put the stigma is controversial, besides, to shoot about the same thing is simply boring. Therefore, filmmakers have tried and are trying to bring something new to a long-known genre, even if it is not completely forgotten old: for example, to show the killers funny, ridiculous, absurd, and fill their bloody cruel world with a bit of madness.
The choice as the main character of a person unlucky is not a new technique, familiar to film fans since the long-standing classic comedy with Pierre Richard, but in the case of endowing such a feature of a criminal, old themes begin to play with new colors. Okay, let's say not very new, but still. “Faster Bullet” offers to look at the topic of bad luck, at least from two sides, to consider this phenomenon as a complex phenomenon. Yes, the hero of Brad Pitt is catastrophically unlucky to get into various dangerous stories, to get blows from fate to the left, then to the right. But this hero is still alive and quite cheerful in his more than mature years. Thus, Pitt’s hero is surprisingly lucky to come out of these stories “dry their water”, whatever it cost him, probably, absolutely gray and thoroughly smoked from constant stress guardian angel. I dare assume that such a combination of total bad luck and total paradoxical luck is a more reliable thing than the luck inherent in someone, which, as you know, is capricious. Therefore, no one should be sad that he is unlucky: perhaps it is exactly the opposite.
Fast Bullet also highlights the age-old conflict between reality and illusion. For example, almost all the characters involved in the film do not have names, but only nicknames and call signs, all act out performances and deceive each other. That’s just this permanent circus is absolutely not able to mislead anyone, the pretense in “Fast Bullet” over and over again loses reality, which should show the meaninglessness and even the harm of cunning and half-truths in ordinary life. However, despite the numerous symbolism in terms of creating visibility, the film does not bring its conclusion about it to the end, because the awkward theater does not come, triumphing, real, sincere and winning for all real life.
More than anything else, I liked the creation of the image of the antagonist of this picture, and I do not mean either the appearance or the play of the actor involved in the film. Much more important is his story. The choice of Russian origin for him is a very successful move, especially when you consider how accurately his actions and manner of behavior are described, because in this everyone unmistakably recognizes senseless and ruthless banditry with its concepts instead of laws, the absence of any morality, values in conjunction with cheap drama. The finale of the picture for this hero also carries a certain conclusion, on the one hand, not too positive, since it extols the role of chance in the fate of such characters, but on the other hand, proves that even on chance you need to work.
If we abstract from all the above arguments, it is easy to notice that “Faster Bullet” deliberately and shamelessly exploits the long-accustomed and recognizable image of Brad Pitt. Obviously, the picture was shot only for him. “Bullet” is built on the imposing, relaxed charm of its main actor, and the bad luck of his character helps not to overload and complicate the atmosphere, adding humor to it. Pitt really got a lot of humor, and, in some cases, even successful, especially note a very appropriate irony over the age of the eternal sex symbol. The fact that several cameo stars of the first plan take place in the film is also the magic of Brad Pitt, because where there is such a star of the first magnitude, there should be at least as star actors in the episodes.
In general, the scenario of “Faster Bullet” is quite primitive, it is not so much a full story as a set of jokes. There are problems with motivation, approximately all the characters, none of them is endowed with either a convincing past or present. In "Pool" there are here and now, periodically interrupted by the necessary flashbacks from time to time. Rare elements of more complex causes than money are banal and simple. However, the film is sufficiently dynamic, amusing, ironic and self-worthy that I am not at all sure it should be complicated by all the overlooked details of the lives of a million of its characters.
Surprisingly, I enjoyed watching such a simple and simple movie. Sin, of course, on the charm of Brad Pitt, but the score, as they say, on the scoreboard. “Faster Bullets” is good entertainment, quite suitable for turning off the brain and eating popcorn in the background, the film is fun, well musically designed. Its peculiarity is that watching every minute of this film is more interesting than the film as a whole - there is no conditionally central storyline, everything is permanent, everything is in motion, like a train where all events take place. There is a certain charm to this.
After I thought I’d been watching trailers for years 'Faster Bullet' (wow, has it ever been played so often), I finally watched the movie! And honestly. I thought it was amazing! For example, let me be clear, there’s nothing crazy about it, it’s not 'Top Gun: Maverick' or 'Everything everywhere ' but it was a lot of fun! I just had such a good time watching it that I didn't even mind that it wasn't a good technical movie. Sure, it may not be the strongest story or the best characters, but damn it if it's not interesting! I had a legitimately good time and thought it was a fun thrill ride to end the summer movie season!
This is undoubtedly the best David Litch film since #39; Deadpool 2' and perhaps even his best! It’s probably a lot better than 'Explosive Blonde' and 'Hobbs & Shaw' and it’s almost like a Guy Ritchie movie (which works)! In my opinion, the film is best described as 'Kiss right through' meets 'Kill Bill' and I liked the tone and the feeling he came up! The action was murderous, the humor was hilarious, everything just worked perfectly for me! Again, it's not cinematic perfection, but for a summer blockbuster, it's damn fun. This movie is really thrilling! There are so many crazy twists and turns in him, and he deftly plays the idea of a Chekhov pistol, cheerfully weaving all the satire together! The film has such witty dialogue, and it makes excellent use of nonlinear narrative and flashbacks. I really enjoyed the first hour and 30 minutes, but unfortunately the last act stopped the pace of the film. Personally, I thought it could have ended without everything in the final, but I still had a good time because of the amazing characters!
The characterization in this film is really strong, all the characters are unique and memorable in their own way. I really liked Ladybug and I thought Brad Pitt did a great job with this performance! I love that cold action hero phase that Brad Pitt is in. The controversy between his character's pacifist personality and his brutal career was amusing and very amusingly played out in the plot. He had some amazing action scenes and wonderful comedy moments. I would love to watch a sequel to this film, similar to how it happens in ' Get Knives' each time bringing the protagonist to a new set of characters. I just liked Pitt and his character so much that I would love to watch more! And while Pitt is terrific, it was the twins played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Brian Tyree Henry who just stole the movie! They had some of the best scenes, some of the best jokes, and they had the greatest chemistry. I just really liked it, especially the long-running joke about Thomas' tank engine! All the jokes in this movie have become a hit, it's a great action comedy, and there are even some stunning unexpected cameos! The action is great; each scene is edited, filmed and staged in a way that makes it seem interesting, stylish and so fresh. I loved the way they used the items in the environment and the lighting was great too! I can’t say the same about CGI, it was a disappointment, but for me it’s a small thing.
This movie was so fun, the perfect way to end the summer blockbuster season! I would highly recommend it and would love to see more from this universe. While it's by no means perfect, I had such a good time with it, laughed a lot, enjoyed a great action and enjoyed an epic soundtrack. So it's a thumbs up from me for 'Faster Bullet', a fast, exciting trip to the movies!
A mercenary named Godbug must get an important case from a Tokyo train. He does not suspect that each car is riddled with motley killers and murderers whose goals closely overlap with his.
Actors: Beauty Pitt plays a lucky man who wears the nickname of a ladybug. During two hours of timekeeping, all his failures led to the final conclusion that fate does not just pity the hero. That the killer (one of the twins who is not the twin of the other) can spare or assist in a climactic skirmish. That the airbag could be an ordinary growth suit, and the antidote could be a double blow. Pitt breaks off, sarcastic humor. The role is just for a non-aging sex symbol. It is noteworthy that he again appeared in the role of a waiter (albeit briefly) 37 years after the film No Man's Land 39.
Sandra Bullock appeared in this film as the sounding voice in the tube. She made a wonderful curator. Unfortunately, Tatum remained in the back rows (apparently playing a guy with a non-traditional orientation). I was hoping I'd get laid, even if it was free. Surprisingly, the three actors have already appeared in the film 'The Lost City'. But there's a big difference: Pitt played a small role, and Bullock and Tatum starred. It's the opposite here. Is it a coincidence or a pattern? Or is it the same karma?
I like the twins (who are not twins). But brothers are always good. They are real fruits (in culmination, one of them will survive reincarnation as an orange fruit). Aaron Taylor-Johnson as if stood in the place of any gangster from 'Kick-Ass', and now dynamically burns in the film with Pitt (who also starred in Matthew Vaughn). Brian Tyree Henry is obsessed with the philosophy of the series ' Thomas and his friends' Apparently, the money for his orders goes to products based on the cartoon (in the film, the authors brilliantly approached the left signs in the form of stickers). So expect a cheerful and fierce discussion about who will be the main Diesel on this train.
Joey King, whose heroine was called the Little Prince (in honor of the story of Antoine Saint-Exupery) played a girl who decided to win the respect of her parent. However, her character does not have flashbacks. Therefore, against the background of colorful heroes, it seems to fade. Her desire to kill is aimless and soulless towards her rivals. Speaking of karma. The prince repeats the fate of his heroine for the second time, as in the previous film about wish fulfillment.
Noble revenge, as always, is committed by those who honor the traditions and honor of the family. Hero Hiroyuki Sanada Fate led him to this moment for many years. His hero managed to achieve the main thing, this is a reliable guard for his children. True, in some incomprehensible way his son wounds heal faster than Wolverine. Hiroyuki played a wise man who knows how to distinguish between a friend and an enemy.
Zazie Bitz in this film is mercilessly small. However, like Logan Lerman, pretending to be Johnny Depp, but not in ' Orient Express'. I haven’t seen Michael Shannon as an antagonist for a long time. His 'White Death' turned out to be a much more intricate and unique personality. But, for his karma, he will receive in full.
All the rest: David Litch is known for its dynamic, explosive (hint to 'Blonde' Theron) action scenes and detective component. I think the director mixed a cocktail of Matthew Vaughn, Drew Goddard and Quentin (the plot clearly features Tarantin's philosophy of fate. ' What is a miracle, Vincent?' - asked once Jules Winfield). All accidents, which are clearly written by fate, lead the heroes to choose. Some may be wrong, and karma will reward them. For example, if the Mandarin was on the spiritual path and fasted like Pitt’s hero, he would pay attention to the details. The hard question is who you're going to be: a rushing locomotive or a sensible protagonist. By the way, I love this animated series about Thomas (the creators inserted their favorite idea and did not lose their choice). The climax already feels the influence of the film ' Passenger' with Liam Neeson.
I want to note the excellent camera work Jonathan Cel. Gentle and sometimes driven compositions of Lewis drag with the head crazy deeds of the heroes. The script Zac Olkevich and Kotaro Isak turned out to be complicated, but exciting to the end
Impressions: As a result, only three of these killers know about karma. And with fate, jokes are bad. Karma is faster than a bullet.
If you mix the actors from the recent project 'The Lost City', then the output will get 'Faster Bullet' where Sandra Bullock is no longer on the front line. In general, the nearest reference point for the creation of David Litch from all the latest notable films can serve as a sunken in memory ' Nothing good at the El Royal Hotel' A closed space, a collection of colorful characters with a stigma in a cannon, general mystery, innocent girls, dangerous villains. Plus, it's a long movie to be fooled. And only in terms of an intriguing plot with a tempting style, Drew Goddard wins over your vaunted David Litch, father ' Hobbs & Shaw'.
Looks like Shinkansen's riding quietly. That is fast and fast, as the Japanese thought. Passengers sat, music in the lounge style played, nothing foreshadowed trouble. But it was necessary to cross the threshold of the car to the hapless killer with the call sign ' Godbug' as everything went to the tail. And brought a professional there ordinary diarrhea, which no one expected. At the end of the whole mess, he could well have lamented a clearly bad night. In general, the man became an involuntary participant in a large bloodbath, which, of course, someone arranged deliberately. Who? If possible, go to the movies and find out.
What you can not deny the director ' Deadpool 2' and ' Explosive blonde', so it is in the creation of a tangy action. The frames are full of bright and juicy colors, which serve as an excellent background for hand-to-hand fights. If producers need someone to put on a fun, fantastic action movie, then they can safely turn to a friend of Chad Stahelski. At the end of the film, he made such a "Dance with trains" & #39; that it was left to sit and think that another comic book flashed before my eyes, although everything was filmed based on the book by the Japanese author & #39; Train of Killers'. It remains to be read for comparison, what has already been ordered today.
With all this entertainment, the muvik clearly sags in the dialogues and the characters themselves. Honestly, it’s better to look at the silent Japanese with fearsome looks than to listen to their American versions, who argue like children in a sandbox. And as a help David Litch does not have Ryan Reynolds, who with a serious face would let funny lines. In order not to make the confrontation of the killers quite bloody, screenwriter Zach Olkevich strikes a weak humor. And Thomas's metaphors are more annoying than amusing. Yes, the first thought of a passenger who was offered 200 bucks should be to work with his mouth.
Ha-ha, belly will burst with laughter. ' Explosion' laughter causes Logan Lerman, who may have had the heaviest role. You'll understand. And in general, who is there only among the recognizable persons: Z.B., and C.T., and K.F., and M.Sh., and S.B. Even W.W. himself deigned to appear on the screen! The riot of cameo, of course, can awaken delight, but this does not give the story a cheerful saturation. Again the parallel: the action movie 'Trump Aces' Joe Carnahan, in which a pack of notorious killers also gathered in one place for the sake of a dangerous mission, and what then came out of it. The charismatic badgayas are there and the rustic jesters are here. Well, someone's gonna like it.
A crazy number of flashbacks, a poisonous snake, exactly 1 minute per stop, a whole separate history of an artesian water bottle load a colossus called ' Faster bullet' large layers of fat, that you understand: 2.5 hours for action fiction of such a thing is a bit too much. So David Leitch is not Michael Bay to give you a real megablockbuster, but neither is the Russo brothers, thank you. Night sessions 'Faster bullet' better bypass, there is a risk of falling asleep due to chatter and flashbacks. So it's easier to go to bed in the morning. Which is exactly pleasing, after the fights on the faces of the actors dashing bruises and scratches.
