Daredevil is a legal thriller about superheroes, corruption and religion.
The series tells the story of a blind guy Matt Murdoch, who under the name Daredevil at night catches criminals, and during the day acts as their lawyer. Justice is blind. To be honest, I was negative about the idea of Netflix to shoot a series about Daredevil. Therefore, he tried to bypass him and cut off all ties with people who admired the series. But the day came when I unconsciously watched the first season.
I don’t think the beginning of the series was successful. The first season tries to balance between dubious quality legal drama and superhero action filmed on a phone in the entrance. But the authors probed the ground, gradually complicating the plot. During the day, we are thrown with imitation of hectic work activity: some papers, signatures, bills and so on. At night, a man with stockings on his head beats gopniks in the corner, and then cries. Daredevil is trying to be a realistic drama about the harsh everyday life of a superhero living in a criminal district. While Spider-Man in New York City didn’t know what to do, he moved his grandmothers across the street. Daredevil in New York beat with his face all the fists and batons of thugs from the gang. He physically, legally and morally fought a crime boss named Kingpin. He tried to get the Punisher off life imprisonment. All friends consider him an alcoholic as long as he fights crime and doesn’t get enough sleep. He is blind, not blind, but blind. The world is on fire. And finally, he's religious. Realizing the severity of the story, you gradually immerse yourself in the series, even with all its shortcomings.
The second season of Daredevil becomes bolder, more dynamic, more dramatic, more interesting and deeper. The legal thriller is heating up, the superhero action movie is getting stronger. The third season is even better. The series has an interesting structure, each weak element of which is complemented by a strong one. Like this. The main character has his own law firm and a couple of colleagues. Matt Murdoch, as a lawyer, is a rather boring figure. He takes on too much responsibility, constantly whines, lies ridiculously and rarely really works as a lawyer. While his colleagues are constantly intrigued and investigated. They are pleasant to watch, and they act as a counterweight to the dull protagonist. But Matt Murdoch, like Daredevil, is an inventive and harsh superhero. In contrast, he reveals to us from the other side, which is good for him. In the echelon of villains, everything is similar. In his usual state, Kingpin likes to tell cool stories, suffer for a woman and look into the wall while his wards compete among themselves for the prize of audience sympathy. In the "villainous" state of the Kingpin, the bloodthirsty genius of the underworld, despicably eliminating his competitors. Looks cool. Intimidating.
It turns out that the secondary characters complement the main character and villain, so the series manages to keep the viewer’s attention by juggling the characters. Daredevil should appeal to people far from superhero movies. The series feels more like a legal thriller about corruption, where sometimes a guy with stockings on his head appears.
Netflix has decided to collect its own Avengers, so next to Daredevil will be the series Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist. And the events between the second and third seasons of Daredevil break the Defenders. But I'll tell you this, if you only want Daredevil, you'll have to forest everyone else. You won't lose anything. After the second season of Daredevil, you can watch the series The Punisher, if you like stories about the “reverse side” of Western intelligence services, military conflicts and psr.
The popularity of Netflix’s Daredevil remains a mystery to me. To call the series frankly bad I can not, however, to get continuous pleasure from it somehow does not work. Along with a wonderful cast, the production of combat scenes, the general atmosphere, work with characters, there are frankly poorly written and sometimes even unnecessary storylines, sagging dynamics and sometimes very dreary camera work. But everything is better in order.
The first season is good, albeit with few reservations. He introduces the three main characters, and in many ways they are the center of the narrative. Matt, Foggy and Karen's relationship is probably the best the season offers. There is chemistry between the characters, and it is very interesting to watch them interact. There is also the Kingpin, who can be called one of the most interesting antagonists in the environment of comic books; the beginning of Daredevil’s path to getting the usual red suit with horns and a lot of conversation. So much so that sometimes they get tired, given the timing of each series. But in general, the first season is still interesting and deserves to be familiarized.
The second situation is even better. The season has become more ambitious, more saturated, Daredevil himself jumps in an armored leather jacket, and to help him, the scriptwriters throw the Punisher and Electra with their own storylines. There’s nothing to add here, just fine. Good storytelling tempo, good character development and the relationships between them and the great John Bernthal. Just bravo.
But the third season was the most problematic of all. First of all, the previous season ended with a cliffhanger, who remained undisclosed here. It’s like the story goes straight through the first season, completely ignoring the second, which I personally didn’t like. Matt here again loses his suit and runs in a rag, once again reflexes for 80% of the total timekeeping, as if this was not enough in the first two seasons, and about the dynamics of the narrative completely forgotten. The narrative introduces a bunch of secondary storylines that slow down the story without adding anything really interesting. Absolutely horrific production and filming of dialogue. Wearable speeches lasting four to five minutes, and the camera does not show anything but talking heads, which sit in place absolutely static. I started squandering endlessly at some point just to stay awake. At the same time, the season is potentially interesting, the return of the Kingpin, the appearance of Marked, which in itself is curiously shown in the series, but here is how it is all served - fire. Boredom and sadness.
For the rest, caste, as I said, is very good. There is a genuine connection between the main three, until the writers begin to destroy it with their crooked hands. Actors look very good in their images, however, Charlie Cox sometimes does not say that he is blind. Ben Affleck played it much better, making his eyes unfocused and looking through the interlocutors.
A decent production of action scenes with an emphasis on realism. Fights actually look quite tough, although sometimes it is noticeable that the blows do not reach the target. Yes, the production of course does not reach the conditional "Raid", but still looks impressive.
Verdict: Daredevil is not a bad, but not a delightful series. In a good way, it could be squeezed by about a quarter just by cutting out all the water from the Netflix graphomaniac script, and the series would only benefit from this.
The third season, in my opinion, is more interesting than the second - and perhaps even more interesting than the first one (if I remembered well what was in the first?). It has fewer side, filler, lines - or rather, they are located closer to the main plot, almost no irrelevant in the gloomy and serious movie "mercy", no, hurrah, no ninja and yakuza, no trampling in place. . .
What is it? And there is a reflection of Matt Murdoch (deepening, not weighting the character), there is a mushroom of despair Wilson Fisk (an actor with a strange appearance made an image of one of the most oppressive comic villains on the screen), there is a whole set of psychological arches exploring the state of a person in difficult situations, there is a police ... thriller? detective? - built on the level of genre canons; there is, pancake, Marked in antagonists, and, of course, a ton of spectacularly shot fights.
In general, watching the adventures of Murdoch, you naturally think that superpower - in his case at least - is not a successful acquisition, a kind of bonus feature (who in childhood did not look for a radioactive spider in the attics?), allowing you to cope with any problems, and a heavy cross that the hero is forced to bear. And this, of course, is a great merit of the series - such reflections, such a view on extravagance.
What else? . .
Charlie Cox plays still chic (it is gratifying that he became the “face” of Daredevil in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and now he will look at the cameo, then he will subscribe to the rebuke), the series are not so much, the pace and rhythm keep attention, the characters are deep, the script is smart. Yes, closer to the final, the creators could not stay on the rope and poured absurdities into the plot, but... but in general, the impression on the impression is not much affected.
And yes, this series, of course, much more watchable than its plastic relatives from theaters.
We're waiting.
What will a blind Catholic lawyer do, being the possessor, again randomly, of superpowers? - Of course, first hitting a prick on the entranceways, and then bigger fish.
So you sit there and try to link that information. Blind man. Lawyer. Catholic. A super power that allows him to hear so well that it replaces his vision. It beats criminals that the system ignored. Don’t you think one of these things is superfluous? A lawyer follows the law. A Catholic follows a certain morality where violence is a sin. The hero takes all this seriously, but does not take it seriously. Paradox! Why couldn’t violence be legalized? Why is the main character not a cop?
Okay, this circumstance demonstrates that the main character is a contradictory personality, which means that you can build a good dramaturgy on this. For example, does a given character have the moral right to break the law for good, while possessing the ability and being a representative of the law and a man of faith? How is it different from the same criminals? However, the authors focus on something else. In the first season, Daredevil is a typical hero who has no weaknesses. In the second, he turns out to be a teenager who can’t decide which girl he likes best. And in the third, it is not a teenager, but an offended child. Here we have Benjamin Button, whose life, or rather psychology, develops in the opposite direction. Well, maybe the main villain will be much more interesting.
Wilson Fisk is an extremely successful businessman, but at the same time a cruel man and the king of the underworld. At first he is represented by an extremely talented strategist, but after a few episodes he is already an emotional psychopath, who in addition can not restrain himself with his subordinates. In fact, psychotics are not inclined to communicate, much less lead someone. On the contrary, it should be an extremely balanced and emotionless person. That's even worse!
However, for liberals, I’m sorry for pushing politics here, but the series itself does this, repeatedly raising the topic of some system there. It is a capitalist system built on liberal theory. Now, liberals, being idealists, even though they don't understand it themselves, the world, since we're talking about cinema, is always divided into good and evil, and good usually wins over evil. Accordingly, the evil man, Wilson Fisk, must have a weakness to defeat him. This weakness is his beloved woman. But the writers screwed up here. If the reason for Fisk’s love for Vanessa was poorly explained, then the reason for Vanessa’s love for Fisk was not even tried to explain. He is a criminal, and not just a criminal, but the king of criminals, and also a maniac. What did she see in him? I got the impression that Vanessa, this is a very expensive prostitute, which Fisk behind the scenes pays a salary.
Now, about this system that good characters believe in, don't believe in. With the main character everything is clear, he is a controversial Catholic child in a rubber suit with horns, but this system ... It's bad to kill -- bad people should be judged by the system -- bad people should be judged by the system -- bad people should be justified by the system -- it's bad to kill people anyway -- and yet I believe in the system. Is this a vicious circle?! The funny thing is that it is the main villain who explains the reason for the contradiction - the powerful oppress the poor. In other words, the existence of classes is the main problem of this system. It is strange that a villain understands and knows more than his opponent in a world where good conquers evil.
The position of the series is saved by secondary characters in the person of Karen Page and Foggy Nelsan. Their character development is going in the right direction. Their experiences are understandable to the audience. They are not crazy and have no superpowers. They are far from perfect and fallible, like all normal people, and that is why they are so attractive. They were much more interesting to watch than Daredevil and Fisk, which only annoyed.

Matt Murdoch, aka Daredevil, is a very popular comic book character and is familiar to many who were fond of them. This is a character with a terrible past and a gloomy present. It's perfectly served here. Gloomy, hysterical, noir. This is not a DD from a quilt in a bright red tights that just runs through the streets and gives lulls to every criminal you meet. He is a detective and lawyer, a hero with a heightened sense of justice with his own methods and principles. You can also describe him as Marvel’s Batman. The antagonists of this work deserve special praise. Kingpin and Labeled are magnificently shown, their natures, their formation are reflected. The protagonists, like the antagonists, can be empathized, at least you understand the motives of their actions, everything is explained. The most indistinct for me seemed the 2nd season, there is only the Punisher and Electra drag. Seasons 1 and 3 are bliss for the eyes. Weaknesses of the siric are places poorly staged action, sometimes it generally looks like cutting frames; a couple of “empty” characters that appear just for a tick. Overall, it is a good product. It's a pity we won't see a sequel to Netflix with their marvelous intro. I'm afraid the Disney mouse will ruin all the charm. The series isn’t perfect, but it’s good for a Marvel product.

“Better to die like a Daredevil than to live like Matt Murdoch.”
Blind since childhood, lawyer Matt Murdoch under the name “Daredevil” uses other, incredibly enhanced, feelings to fight crime.
Daredevil, I'm trying to see when all three seasons were filmed. Two attempts were made, but neither the first nor the second time went beyond the same series. Well, I didn't like it, I didn't get hooked, although Marvel is one of my favorites. So, I decided to give this series another chance, and after watching it, I can say one thing, I regret not watching it sooner.
I really enjoyed the first two seasons. But here's the third season, I'm the most hooked. If on the first and second seasons you could watch the series and do your own business, then the third season did not allow you to do this. The first two seasons I watched, as if stretching it, slowly, the third season I watched in one day.
It's an amazing performance by actors you believe in. You believe Matt Murdoch is really blind, but you won't feel sorry for him. You're watching him change over the course of all three seasons. And you change with him. Charlie Cox played a great lawyer and a vigilante in a mask.
You believe Karen Page (Deborah Ann Wall) that she didn’t commit the crime she’s accused of, but you also believe her that she’s not as innocent and defenseless as she seems.
Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) is that character, that acting game, after which you want to go and learn to be a lawyer. I'm serious. His speeches in court, his support as a friend, his values in life are simply inspiring. I envy that Matt Murdoch has such a friend.
William Fisk. The actor who played him (Vincent D’Onofrio) is just bravo. I applaud standing up. To play such an evil, vile supervillain. I was literally shocked when he appeared in the picture. I was annoyed that he got away with everything and that Daredevil couldn't catch him.
Excellent acting.
Anyway, I want to summarize. I recommend watching, and everyone who loves the movie Marvel, and everyone who does not even suspect of superheroes.

In fact, I rarely recommend a normal series for which you will not be ashamed. The main characters drag, they are memorable, charismatic, each in his place and motivated: the lawyer fights for justice, if he cannot by law, then makes physical remarks, not because he is the main positive hero, but because each of his actions is motivated and has either a background or logical conclusions / conclusions / hopelessness / choice of a lesser evil; the friends of the hero help not because it is supposed to help the main character or lead his hand according to the plot, but because they have a history of friendship, sympathy, a real reason for certain actions based on the prescribed nature of the hero, or a similar goal. The soundtrack both on the screensaver and in the film is perfectly selected! the most important plus is the choreography of fights! unlike all films, the characters get tired, the environment is used not for humor, as everyone’s favorite childhood hero Jackie, but for realism. The fighting game is top class! The atmosphere is not created as if it were in the universe of a superhero, but as if it was happening somewhere nearby, on the next street or in the next city... in general realistic. By the way, the atmosphere and mood of the series is more like the DC universe, although it came from Marvel. That's the kind of sin and a full-length film to make, albeit gloomy, even directorial, at least in several parts ... the main thing without Affleck.
When watching TV series, I have long noticed one feature behind me - if I like the series, then I force myself to slow down in viewing, and the last couple of episodes can even stretch for a week. Because I don’t want to let the series go. And how diabolical it was nice to catch this feeling while watching the third season of Daredevil.
The first season became a benchmark, almost a cult TV work. The second season did not fall into the mud face and continued to give the audience incredible emotions. However, a series of frankly weak, passing or simply empty projects sowed a seed of doubt in the hearts of fans of the horned defender. Glory to the Devil of Hell's Kitchen - cost.
The third season in all its glory continues the glorious traditions to which the audience has learned the last two times. Explosive action and incredibly high-quality staging of combat scenes, rampant dynamics and the stunning monologue statics that replace it, the chemistry between the characters oozing through the screen and a complete misunderstanding of how all this will turn out and end.
Sure. Even before the start of viewing with a probability of 99.9%, we can assume that Matt will survive, having acquired an additional 100-150 injuries of varying severity. But in addition to him, other equally important characters are involved in the frame, to which we managed to get attached. And here the writers tickle our nerves very exquisitely.
Despite the plume of other stories within the TV universe and the conditionally global event in the form of “Defenders”, the authors somehow managed to create a truly independent story and not allow to doubt its integrity. Of course, there are some reasons for nagging and criticism, but in the aggregate, there is absolutely no desire to do this. Because what's happening on screen is really great.
The third season of Daredevil is a real pleasure and the number of emotions given to me personally covers the vast majority of projects of the “cinema” universe of the notorious studio. It’s even a “series” that’s inconvenient to call. This is a real work of superhero art, which you want to review immediately after the beginning of the credits of the final thirteenth episode.
Mini-review on the series “Daredevil” (1 season) “Invisible darkness”
To be honest, I don’t understand the hype around this series. Well, gloomy, crime, realism, tin. We haven't been shown this much before? That is, yes, in the series about superheroes this was not before, and if it was, then in a much more original manner, the same “Dumpsters” as an example. I know I compare cold to salt. And after the sugary-sweet "Flash" and "Arrow" new "Daredevil" as a breath of fresh air after a trip on the bus in rush hour. But some fans jammed straight: "Wash Nolan! This is our Dark Knight!!! 1111"" Are you serious? Apart from the fact that there is realism in all fields, nothing else unites them. And the formats are completely different.
In order not to go into a stupid comparison of two completely different works. I'm just going to tell you what's bad about this dark series and what's good. I'll start with the minuses. It's very, very tight. For a series of 13 episodes in the first season of 40-50 minutes, it's almost a sentence. You seem to break through each episode through a pile of unnecessary junk, consisting of uninteresting characters and a ton of boring dialogue, to the most central that there is. Namely, the formation of a hero and scratched fights. And if it turned out to be pretty good, but still passable, then the fights with the participation of blind lawyer Matt Murdoch, this is why it is worth watching this series. Staging, acrobatics, shooting, in the end, everything is at the highest level and it is here that realism plays with all its scarlet colors as it should. There's only universal darkness, it's just ahtung. Are you serious? Was it difficult for you to add light? Or did the creators cover the budget? Unknown.
Oh, yeah. Fisk. Donofrio played a great Kingpin. Not in everything, of course, all this shit about a difficult childhood is fucked up. But that’s the problem of the writers, not the actor. Sometimes it's more enjoyable to watch him than the protagonist himself. In general, it turned out well, but not as fucking as everyone paints.

With the Marvel Cinematic Universe and now Disney, everything is fine at the moment. Films come out regularly year after year, and bring their creators quite a lot of money. And while everyone is waiting for the next sequel & #39; The Avengers', which comes out next year, a real mess is happening in the format of Marvel television projects. The fact is that these projects have already turned out to be good not all, but nevertheless, a couple of decent ones from under the wing of Netflix still came out. And everything would be fine, but only here Disney in one fell swoop knocked out all these undertakings in favor of its own streaming service. And if any 'Iron Fist' and 'Luke Cage' not at all sorry, then specifically 'Daredevil' a real loss both for Netflix and for the audience of this show.
Matt Murdoch is a very talented lawyer, he literally pulls his clients out of all sorts of asses with all the methods available to him. At the same time, Murdoch fights for justice not only in countless courtrooms, but also on the streets of his home district - Hell's Kitchen. Matt is a lone avenger whose face is covered with a black bandage. Thanks to his well-developed feelings, Matt literally feels and hears literally every rustle, which allows him to track down criminals and prevent their dirty deeds. And no one sees Matt as the avenger, simply because the tragedy that happened to him as a child made him blind for life. . .
I have to admit that the first season of the series once caused me conflicting feelings. It certainly had a great atmosphere, great fights, and a damn good antagonist in the form of one of the most villainous villains in the Marvel Universe. It was these aspects that carried out the entire first season, which in some places seemed somewhat boring to me. But damn it, literally from next season, the series went uphill just incredible steps. The decision to enter in the sequel ' Daredevil' also the Punisher turned out to be damn right. Despite the fact that Frank Castle noblely pulled the blanket on himself, even the episodes with Daredevil looked great. Without a spoonful of tar, the second season also did not do, but it was very good. And just the other day, having finished watching the third, and as it turned out now, the final season, I realized that I was very impressed after watching it - it is the best. The third season is the apogee of the whole series, there is literally everything to interest the viewer - a beautiful atmosphere, perfectly staged fights and action, damn cool antagonists, and most importantly - a very intriguing plot. You literally expect to see each episode, and you don’t care about the fate of the characters. Moreover, here they did not focus only on one Daredevil and his environment, here literally every hero from among the main ones plays a significant role in the plot. In addition, you are literally imbued with each of them.
I am not familiar with many representatives of comic books in TV format, but perhaps I will rely on the opinion of viewers, and believe that ' Daredevil' in fact, is one of the best, if not the best project of them. And by the end of the third season, it was more than obvious. Of course, it is sad that such a successful project has sunk into oblivion only because of the dividing of big uncles in the media giants, but this is the essence of the reality and there is a suspicion that such a project we will have to wait a hell of a long time. On the other hand, we have three really decent, in general finished, well, self-sufficient seasons about Daredevil, and it is good that everything ended at least not at the first.

When I called a friend in the spring of 2015 to talk about a great show I had watched recently, he immediately said, “Let me guess, it’s Daredevil.” It turned out that many of his staff watched this series and also found it great! And I’m happy to tell you that Daredevil is one of the few TV shows that, over the years, like good wine, only get better!
The third season continues the storyline of the first about the fight of the protagonist with organized crime. After the events of the Defenders and the disappearance of her beloved, Daredevil is completely broken. If before he had reasons to live (friends, work, the vocation of a superhero), then this time all his hopes collapsed. Matt lost faith, and Karen and Foggy completely forgot.
In order for Daredevil to get back on the true path, the creators decided to return Lentom’s father to the number of main characters. In this character I have always admired his ability to reason in theological matters. The difference is that this time the nun Maggie will help him in his sermons.
Foggy reaches great heights in the legal field. He has the audacity to put obstacles at the top of the legislature! Victory awaits him on the personal front.
We know about Matt and Foggy's youth, but we don't know anything about Karen's past. In the third season, we decided to correct this mistake! We'll even know where she learned to shoot so well.
Never has the fight of the main character reached such a climax as in the fight with Fisk. This time we will see him in all its glory, as in addition to the dream of “saving the city”, Kingpin had a burning desire to take revenge on the law firm “Nelson and Murdoch” for his arrest. We will once again witness his cruelty, and at the same time his unsurpassed genius! Fisk’s ability to anticipate events and think ahead never ceases to amaze!
But perhaps the biggest surprise of the season was the appearance of Daredevil’s main enemy from the comics – Spotted (Ben Poindexter). Ben's childhood scene in episode five is the strongest scene in the series. And this is not only because it is unusually filmed, but also because it sheds light on the causes of the crimes: “The total absence of love. They say this is the definition of evil.
Extremely dangerous for Daredevil Labeled makes not only incredible accuracy, but also psychopathy. Ben’s imbalance is a sin not to take advantage of, which leads Fisk to the idea of becoming his “Polar Star”, and at the same time to end Daredevil once and for all!
The people of New York believed the Kingpin lies and trampled their defender into the mud. “States perish when they cannot distinguish between good people and bad people,” said Antisthenes. For excessive credulity and naivety, the city, led by Hell’s Kitchen, has to pay a high price!

Before we talk about the third season, I will talk about the first two.
Season 1 It's a Netflix classic. A dark story about a superhero, sustained in a special style of increasingly increasing tension. Special signs: cool combat, action episodes in one take, great characters (including negative), emphasis on realism (within the possible), resourceful jurisprudence.
Season 2. I would call it ' the wrong way'. Fantastic cart, charismatic Electra (sorry), mediocre villain. Yes, this season there is a Punisher who drags, a lot of Stick, the plot captures in places, but the season does not give those feelings. To be honest, at the time of the promotion, I was a little disappointed in the creators.
And here it is, a revelation for me personally. Season 3 - a chic return to the origins. An unusual move: take the first season as a basis and multiply its advantages several times. I will give you three reasons why you should watch this.
1. Strong characters. Large-scale expansion of the main villain of the first season to the level that the title of the series could be changed to ' Fisk' and little would change. The best antagonist of recent years, revealed with such love that I admire it. And new characters are revealed no worse: story arches are built competently and complement the narrative, and do not interfere with it. One of the reasons is that all the mini-stories are interesting.
2. Sixth series. She's brilliant. By this point, the series had dispersed, picked up tension and wildly shot the event. For me, it is rarely unexpected, but then I felt straight & #39; Game of Thrones' if you compare emotions. Everything changed immediately: both in the series and in its perception.
3. Detachment from fiction. Darkness from us did not disappear, but plot decisions like ' Black Sky' poured into the trash a lot in the second season. I'm glad that what's happening on the screen can now be interpreted as a harsh drama about manipulation and fitness, only with partial hints of fantasy. The atmosphere created and the stunning suspense is not even complicated by the slowness factor of the passing (especially the initial series) - the season is not very dynamic and there is a lot of heavy dialogue in it, but this is to the benefit of the key moments of the scenario, which towards the end fill almost the entire timekeeping. Notice, I’m not even talking about actors – everything is in its place.
Rarely does that happen, but in my eyes the third season is on par with the first, maybe a little higher. I don’t know how it happened, but not everyone can take into account all the mistakes and do something powerful again. I'm glad that with 'Daredevil' that's how it happened. A little disappointed except that not too elegant finale, although it did not spoil the overall impression.
Tons of Tears and Thousands of Tears: This Is The Third Daredevil
I started watching Daredevil in the hope of seeing a good movie about superheroes fighting for people and standing up for something good. The result was a snotty drama in which 90% of the time is spent talking about how bad things are. Seriously, the volume of tears and empty words goes beyond all limits.
The series is built on the scheme of the classic action movie, in which the main character is disappointed in himself and the world, going into his own thoughts and giving up. Then they start persuading him. He refuses and continues to sit in a secluded corner, cursing himself and uttering profound phrases.
Then something happens and the hero decides – it’s time to come to light. That's Daredevil. Nothing new, but the volume of dialogue is huge. Heroes, acting in this series for “good”, look miserable and worthless, they are constantly roaring and complaining about something. Many actions are illogical and stupid.
Someone wrote that there is a lot of action in this series. Where did you see the action here? There is no dynamics, the attitude of the FBI to the main villain does not lend itself to any logic.
Bottom line: it's a dummy stuffed with tears and drama. Too many words, too little action.
Season 3 turned out to be what a great series should be. There are no Russians here, as in season 1, who are evil by default, because of which the first half was difficult to watch due to the outdated plot. There is no magic and Hands, as in season 2, although the story with the Punisher in it was phenomenal. In season 3 left and improved all the best is an incredibly down-to-earth story about corruption, friendship, hatred, love and even the church.
The atmosphere of gloom and hopelessness begins with Series 1 and does not recede until the end of the season. It is interesting to watch each episode, the confrontation of Daredevil and Labeled is quite short and infrequent, but they cling to the main character, you worry and fear, as well as for his friends, there is no sense of immortality of the heroes. Well, the finale is so emotional that you do not want to blink again, so as not to miss anything.
The acting is really brilliant, but of course, the pillars here are 3 people - Charlie Cox is still beautiful in the role of the blind, brilliantly switching from the role of a harsh avenger, to a distracted person, to a completely broken hero. The second one, which should be noted, is, of course, Vincent D’Onofrio, he was incredible in season 1, but here the actor is just at his peak, you can feel how he enjoys playing his character, few people manage to evoke hatred, sympathy and affection in their characters at the same time - Wilson Fisk does it, watching the implementation of his plan is a pleasure. And the third is Wilson Bethel, who perfectly embodied the image of the Label. It is impossible not to say about Deborah Ann Wall and Elden Henson, they play well, although there is a feeling that Foggy was deprived of screen time in scenes with Matt Murdoch.
But the most important thing in the season, of course, is history. Wilson Fisk combines the worst of criminals, while possessing charm, he has only 2 goals in life: destroy Daredevil and be with the woman he loves, for whom he is ready to do anything. The season may seem like a long season, but every episode, every minute in it, every dialogue moves the plot forward, developing all the characters, each of which is interesting to watch, it seems there are simply no scenes to throw away. At the same time, interesting twists are constantly thrown to us, some are guessed, some are not particularly, the main thing is to follow the plot is interesting. Reflections Daredevil and heroes about God, forgiveness, friendship, corruption at the top, what is evil and good in its form and how easily society is manipulated are excellent, the series raises a huge number of pressing problems, forcing you to think about each of them and about life in general. In my opinion, the only thing to find fault with is that a small pig put a crossover with the Punisher - every time Karen solves another problem, you subconsciously believe that Frank Castle will save her, and this would solve certain plot difficulties, especially given Fisk's promise in prison in season 2, but he does not come, the mirror situation happens in the Punisher, and here Frank's episodic intervention, coupled with Matt's thoughts on the murder, I think it would not be superfluous.
It is worth noting the magnificent production, it concerns both the direction and the work of the choreographers, especially the scene in the corridor, which has already become a business card series and each of the seasons. I don’t know which take it was taken from, but I want to watch this scene again and again. Sometimes, of course, there are flaws when you see that the actors do not really fight, but this is so rare, and for the series, perhaps, forgivable.
If you liked the first 2 seasons, You should definitely watch the third if you didn’t like the first 2 seasons. You should still watch the third one because it combines the best, and because, to some extent, it's a story about each of us.
- Who are you?
- I'm Daredevil
Since the release of The Punisher, Netflix has not released a single truly great superhero series. Season 2 of "Jessica Jones" was watchable, but the lack of antagonist and, as a result, the conflict did not go to the benefit of the series. Season 2 of "Cage" captivated only from the second half, and season 2 of "Fist" was good, but did not catch. He had a weak history and blew a good trump card - a war between gangs. I had a suspicion that the third season of the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen would be a passing one. This is the best season of all.
Matthew Murdoch returns and shows what superhero series should be like. If you fell in love with Daredevil for a great plot, then you will not be disappointed. The series attracts attention from the very first frames and does not let go to the end, throwing plot twists and introducing new characters. The tagged one here is gorgeous. His story, his actions, his work – everything was done at the proper level. Wilson Fisk, performed by Vincent D’Onofrio, is still interesting and watching him ruin Murdoch’s life, put his plan into action is a pleasure.
The action in season 3 is just a head blow. Remember that scene from the first season, shot in one take? And the prison scene from season two? Forget it! Here you will find a fight in prison, filmed in one take and a length of 11 minutes!!! The director is a real psycho, and the whole action is like adrenaline, injected intravenously. The action is so juicy that sometimes it seems that “John Wick” is not so cool.
The season itself is darker and more serious than its predecessors. The drama has become more, however, the series does not slide into some kind of spit, on the contrary, all emotional moments are skillfully inserted and worked out by the actors to the fullest. This is especially true of Charlie Cox and Wilson Betel.
Season 3 of Daredevil is a bombshell, the top among superhero series, filled with drama and action. The season is short of balls. He hits them with such force, so juicy that he will not let you go to the end. This is the level of "The Dark Knight" Nolan.
10 out of 10
While Netflix was shutting down production of Iron Fist and Luke Cage, Daredevil routed critics and viewers. After “Defenders” you can forget about the crossover and follow the plot of the solo life of the devil of Hell’s Kitchen. This season was ambiguous, not designed for fans of superhero cinema, because in the New York area a serious problem unfolds, where Sovrigolov has to make sacrifices.
Forget the classic costume that we've already become attached to, because Matt shoots it in the first series, and then follows in Bondana, returning the viewer to Season 1. This is the first reason that the project is not based on the image and style of the hero, but is aimed at justice in any image. That is, one of the main highlights of the comics was the costume of the hero, so the Devil does not care about this one, because what is happening is more important than the attention of young people.
Season 3 is so corrupt you don't know who to trust. The classic trinity of Matt Foggy-Karen, of course, shines justice, but even the characters are not divided into “black and white”. Even with good deeds and on guard of the law, the heroes have skeletons in the closet. The plot makes it clear that there is no perfect balance. A separate series - the past life of Karen Page - shows the heroine from the dark side so that the viewer can understand her experiences and evaluate her actions. Matt Murdoch, the defender of the neighborhood, is faced with a choice: kill to permanently or jail for a while. Foggy Nelson acquires a socio-political status, seeks justice, but has sins behind him, even if indirectly related to him.
Murdoch is a confrontation with himself. The alter ego says one thing, the lawyer another. Divided opinion shows the inner struggle of the character, when the world around languishes in lies and fear, the methods of settling relationships become rigid. Wilson Fisk is an experienced strategist who has a lot of money. Money – power – power – influence! The time in prison showed us more tricks and machinations with the state. If you want to be free, you can do it.
Corruption strikes on all fronts, showing the reality that nothing can be proved in a fair trial. A stunningly villain uses the police to move the main pieces on the Hell's Kitchen chess field. Tricks, tips to the authorities and manipulation - this is his superpower, you can call it that. There are no winners in the fight against such a person, so everyone is defeated. Before our eyes, Fisk is throwing cards in prison, which gradually restores his power and strength, although he did not lose it much, but it is still better to give orders in a classic suit than in a prison robe.
Manipulation of a new villain. The apt special agent attracts the attention of Kingpin, which gives us an amazing 4 series of side changes. Labeled - one of the main villains of Daredevil in the comics - here is just emerging. I confess that I was expecting an active confrontation, but the series slowly introduces dark parts into the Labeled, which can be attributed to becoming a villain. From the FBI to Wilson in Episode 4, but it was great. Thanks to the different directors who worked on the 13th episode, new details and new series look different. A black and white flashback, where we are shown the childhood of Spotted, where Fisk has a secondary, related role, where there is an effect of immersion and analysis of a boy prone to mental disorders and cruelty. Vincent D’Onofrio played the silent observer. That was great. I compared the series to the Sherlock-Cumberbatch mind dives. A strong, complex and interesting series causes only delight.
Under the season finale, familiar comic book arches pop up in the plot. In particular, Matt's mother and her story. Charlie Cox is good, but he's not a blind lawyer anymore. When the whole world is against you, when the chief of police openly frames honest cops, then a fake character comes on stage. Stories with dressing up and impersonating others, not a new plot. When 2 Daredevils lit up in the trailer, it wasn’t a “Wow” effect, or an unexpected twist, it was accepted properly, but there was no intrigue behind it. In other words, we are already used to such techniques.
More attention is paid to Matt and Foggy's relationship. There's no past friendship, but you see Nelson struggling to get Murdoch back. What does Matt do in return? Framing his partner. Yes, for the common good, but everything looks like a pig, and Daredevil's motives have turned into personal interest, mania and foggy reason lead him on a curved path, blinding the path of the bright side. No persuasion, no arguments stop Sovrigolov in the hunt for Fisk.
What about the character? Fighting with yourself, wanting to prove to the world your innocence in sham cases, talking to your demons in your head, who assume different images. Matt is locked in himself, but there will always be help, which is why, in addition to fighting corrupt authorities, we watch Murdoch fight his principles. Playing one-on-one with the Kingpin can solve the issue without victims, but no one said that there would be no victims on the way to the cherished meeting.
The season was dynamic, tragic and so soulful, showing the example of fictional characters the state of things in the real world. Bond to continue? You know, only if you start a new comic book arc, because that story is over, but there's always elements for breaking the contract between the opposing parties.
Studio Netflix presents film fans one of its most interesting works. ' Daredevil' appears in the world of cinema for the second time. The first birth of the picture was not too successful, overly snotty and dramatic. Critics took the pioneer version of the film negatively. The authors’ second attempt was a huge success. Many viewers believe that it was the serial format that gave the film the opportunity to become a project for solid ' ten'. Stories pass one into another, but at the same time, there remains a single basis for the picture. The quality is amazing, and the script is so well worked out that the modern moviegoer speaks about it only from the positive side. But even more interesting is the plot. All actors are competently and plausibly integrated into it. Along with this, the drama of each of the characters, his tragedy and personal life, with detailed experiences, is organically shown. Emotions in the film are enough, they allow us to better feel everything that happens to the characters. Both episodes of the season form a positive impression on the viewer. Good scenes with all the characters. Reincarnation procedures in relation to the old cinema were carried out successfully. The reasons for such a strong delight from the acquaintance with the film will give a little below.
In the first season, the authors manage ' hook ' the viewer story of Matt Murdoch. He lost his sight in a terrible accident. In the eyes of a nine-year-old boy got poisons carried by a truck that overturned on the road. But along with the incident, the hero receives a tourist pass to the other world. Viewers will see a space where there is room only for human vices, and a trail of blood stretches behind Murdoch. Wilson Fisk will be the main negative character in both seasons of the film.
But even villains were once children. Bad deeds begin with children’s pranks, resentments, whims and innocent misconduct. Since childhood, he managed to spoil his reputation by committing a crime. And now the character appears before moviegoers adults. A man loves abstract painting, understands high art.
Vanessa Marianne manages to awaken the brightest and most passionate emotions in a man’s heart. Mafia king is ready for this woman for any changes in his life, character, habits. Another hero who awakens quite contradictory, but strong emotions in the viewer is Fisk Wesley's friend. We sympathize with him, Fisk, and the lady of the heart of a negative character.
But the authors of the film for some reason quickly remove from the frame all the characters who begin to cause the audience unusual emotional experiences. Along with this comes the understanding that the series is far from the canons, so we see various scenes not according to a strictly built scheme, but exactly as the author wants to show them. Murdoch shows us his talent for hand-to-hand combat. He's fighting bandits from a Russian-speaking country. He triumphantly conducts the elimination of the criminal without the use of firearms. In both season two and season one, I’d like to see Daredevil’s more presence. In the second season, the sagging of the film is especially clear due to this fatal mistake of the authors. Instead of the main character, the creators offer moviegoers to enjoy the company of Electra and the Punisher.
The theme of mafia and banditry continues to be relevant, appears in each episode of the film of the second season. The authors took a lot of effort to instead of beloved viewers Daredevil bring into the spotlight and other characters. The perfect second season is difficult to call, but it does not cause difficulties when watching. After Fisk leaves the scene of events in Hell's Kitchen, battles for leadership begin. But they are too long-term.
Those who enjoyed both seasons want to see the project continue. The third season is seen as something that can put all the dots in the storylines. Good and evil will fight again, but this time one of the parties will still have to win a confident victory.
In what has already been created, there are only three key components that influenced the success of the picture.
First, the amazing acting roles. Cox managed to play Matt in such a way that Charlie now has no recoil from fans. Idealist likes literally everyone who watches this series. His strength is also his charm. Jung played the role of Electra perfectly. It gives the audience pleasure when watching the events around this heroine.
Secondly, professional means and methods of staging scenes with fights were used. Combat choreography at a height.
Third, the series belongs to the Marvell universe.
I looked at the screen with fear when I dared to watch the series Daredevil. Charlie Cox, what a superhero he is, I thought. Now I apologize, Charlie, you are one of the best!!
In the center of the plot is a confrontation between Matt Murdoch, a lawyer who becomes a Daredevil costume against the mafia and her boss Wilson Fisk, nicknamed the Kingpin. By the way, the brilliant work of actor Vincent D’Onofrio, I even became afraid of him in Emerald City. Mafia here for every taste - Russian, Irish, Chinese triad.
I was pleased to work on the role of actress Deborah Anne Wall, a very sweet and honest character. Not for nothing she later appeared in the series “The Punisher”.
Foggy Nilsson is responsible for humor here, although sometimes the writers let him play a hero. Very nice and kind character.
The district "Hell's Kitchen" reminds us of Omsk of our years, a contrast quarter where in each alley you do not know who you will meet and it is unknown how this meeting will end. There are a lot of migrants from Mexico and other countries, drugs, prostitution and of course there is a master, Fisk. But as they say in "Mio, my Mio," there is a Mio for every Kato. So here, a blind superhero whose father tragically died, thanks to the same mafia and personally Fisk, goes to fight injustice. Where there is no law, there is a Daredevil.
Of course, here you need to compare the series with the movie with Ben Affleck, the series is much more interesting in that it is less played and more violent. It is toughness, especially in combat scenes, that attracts viewing.
Immediately we are introduced to the mediator of all the Defenders, nurse Claire, Rosario Dawson, she treats all the heroes, and for someone it becomes fate.
The third, extreme season, in general, became the coolest in the history of series about the heroes of the Defenders, there was Frank Castle, or simply the Punisher (John Bernthal), a graduate of the Moscow Art Theater school-studio, brings a dentition drive to the series, gives fresh breath to the series and facilitates understanding.
Should I watch this series? Dude, of course you should, if you should!!

I'll tell you how the past flowed.
Our life, which was not past, was not...
You're not my head, are you?
What have you brought me to?
In some places interesting, in some places children
The review is based on the first two seasons of the series.
The first season convinced me it was really the best Marvel work in their Netflix series. A serious, intriguing plot that has frenzied me several times. And this is due to the appearance in the series of the mentor of the main character Stick and the beginning of the plot about the malicious yakuza. But these were just fragments that didn't take much away from the main line, which was really dignified. After watching the first season, the series earned a rating of 9 out of 10.
The second season was split in two for me. A fascinating storyline about the Punisher and a strange and depressing line about the yakuza. No, seriously, the 21st century, but there are some armies of silent ninjas running with katanas and shurikens, ancient secret organizations, the immortal leader and again the mentor of Daredevil - a blind locksmith, or rather a martial arts guru, as it turned out with the nickname - Pure. Electra, whose story has never inspired, though perhaps shouldn't have, a huge amount of boring heart-to-heart dialogue. If it weren't for the parallel story of the Punisher, Karen and Fogie, the season would have been a disaster for me. Yes, I may be biased against ' Oriental martial arts' but I think this topic has long been traveled from all sides and can only impress fans of all this and children.
The series is not yet complete and against the background of the rest, it looks much more confident.

A man without fear ... and everything, more in this film there is nothing.
The series was watched and... did not do it without pain.
Many things did not like in this series, these are both subjective and quite objective claims.
From the subjective:
1) Casting for the protagonist of the film, held to put it mildly poorly, this character is called handsome many times, but he looks more like a bristling Harry Potter, the actor of small stature and the operator could not shoot the scene correctly so that he seemed taller, the actor does not have the texture of the physique, not District Reynolds and therefore, together with small growth, insufficient muscle mass, Daredevil looks in his suit like a big-headed cosplayer, it is very comical.
2) In the film there is practically no parkour, when even in the very controversial film adaptation of the 2000s he was present to a greater extent than here.
(3) A very weak legal part of the plot, and after all, the film is about the hero, who has an alter ego lawyer and he does not manifest himself, nothing interesting that would confirm that Matt Murdek is really a good lawyer and graduated from the university with honors (which we repeat more than once), strangely, this role is drawn by his friend Foggy and the fact that he has only glimpses, sudden insights, but no more.
From the objective ... here you can roll out a huge sheet, because in each series there are serious violations of the logic of the behavior of everyone and everything, and the writer’s knowledge of the surrounding world, modernity, is quite ridiculous. From the beginning of the film, it killed me how little Matt stitches his father. I have no complaints about a rather poor apartment for a professional boxer, fights with the participation of which are shown on TV, well, it’s hard, but if any American boxing association, a boxer after a fight is not provided with medical care, then this association will live until the first boxing match, because human rights activists will tear it up and sue, well, it’s impossible, every boxer pays the boxing association from their prize money, not to be in the boxing association and to speak in it is impossible. The scene with the murder of Daredevil's father was poorly thought out, little Matt, according to the same scenario, did not yet find his own ' The world is on fire' so he could not hear his father being shot from home.
The motivation of the antagonists of the first season in relation to Fisk’s mistress is very strange, more reminiscent of the actions of evil matchmakers, rather than criminal authorities, who for some odious reasons against Fisk’s personal life ... this is a kindergarten, this is a clawed devil understand that, well, criminals of this scale with whom their allies sleep, this ' Santa Barbara' absurd. Yes, we tried to humanize the head-scumbags and some of this turned out to be like the friendship of Fisk and his assistant, but for the rest, it is very immature, i.e. a childish plot.
In the second season, I could not understand why the police, with the involvement of even the Prosecutor General, can not catch the Punisher, who quietly moves around the city without hiding his face, Yeprst, in New York, the writer and director did not hear about the CCTV cameras that today are on every corner and I can right now give a link to watch the online streets of New York from a huge number of cameras.
There is something positive in the film, some drama, the production of battle scenes, where it is noticeable that without takes. But a heap of flaws, with a very stupid and horribly stereotyped plot, makes this film an extremely mediocre work of the film industry, the blame lies entirely on the director and screenwriter, these people absolutely do not understand the modern World and this kind of plot should be crammed not into our time era, but somewhere in the 70s, which at least part of that nonsense could smooth out. The work of the operator can be estimated 50:50, because half of what he shot just want to burn for blatant lack of professionalism, that all the shortcomings of the already non-photogenic actors (hello casting!) he could not easily hide, but also flaunted, but the second half, with a number of fighting scenes, I want to praise. The music in the film is disgusting, just disgusting, inappropriate and better not be.
Anyone who hasn’t seen this series... I don’t recommend starting. For all the few poles I've noted, which are really few, these pluses are not something of a genre: ' Wow, how cool!' - that's just commendable. The series tries to be a drama, tries to be a detective from the field of journalism and all this is very controversial, because the protagonists for the most part dig into their own snot, where there is no really interesting action showing their intelligence, ingenuity, this is not, you roll out a lot of emotions, the antagonists are incapable of some prudence, insidiousness and do not make any multi-movements, they are straight like nails that act according to circumstances, not in advance. The film is childish, unable to entertain the adult audience.
Comics, with their ideal heroes and typical villains, clear boundaries of Good and Evil, Order and Chaos, many intelligent people consider unrealistic and even ridiculous. Maybe it is. But still, typical comic book stories teach us a lot. For example, a view of our real world from the outside, a comparison. They remind us what True Evil looks like and what the Good Reaction may be. They still claim these sides, whether you believe them or not. They bring into our world the Avengers we so desperately need, we so desperately want to believe, and we want to be. Comics allow us to look at ourselves from the outside and compare. It is possible to be horrified to see not Matthew Murdoch, an honest lawyer, a Samaritan, but Wilson Fisk, a criminal who thinks he has the right.
I absolutely did not intend to write any review of this series, but apparently I will!
At first glance, Daredevil may seem like another stamping that has come off the assembly line of Netflix and Marvel. But even if this is true, the finished product turned out surprisingly well-coordinated mechanism, well lubricated in all its nodes. Well, almost all: of the minuses - unoriginal screensaver and inexpressive music. But in some places, the series can be called outstanding. Now, I'm talking about the main characters and their performers: Matthew Murdoch and Wilson Fisk, standing on opposite sides of these burning barricades of New York's Hell's Kitchen. Such different people, such different views of the world (each with their own truth), such...
You will see the present situation.
If you have seen such a movie as Apocalypse Today, then when watching Daredevil, you probably remember the same Colonel Kurz more than once (I would like to believe that he and Wilson Fisk are similar not only to their brilliant baldness). For the acting of the inimitable Vincent D'Onofrio in the image of the king of the underworld, you can admire the hours, trying to get to its essence. Vincent managed to work out the inner world of his hero so deeply, to conclude so much meaning in words, in facial expressions, in the smallest gestures that I almost saw pictures and images from his childhood! Hell, I even spat and switched to the English original voiceover, so that nothing would distract me from the excavation!
Other characters also did not disappoint - they differ in such an unusual for Marvel... volume what is it? But, of course, you need to wait a little, get used to - the series for quite a long time ties knots, swings (personally for me, the devourer).
I also want to mention another atypical point. Heard this: ' By day he is a pure lawyer, by night he is a desperate avenger' In my opinion, the boundaries of Good and Evil are not so clear and with each step they become stranger and stranger. Hopelessness with each series captures more and more fans. Fear and anxiety are felt here and during the day, gradually crawling out of the darkness of the dirty night. Especially when the blind Matthew Murdoch himself talks about Justice in a dusty courtroom.
I expected and believed that such an interesting character as Daredevil would appear in the MCU sooner or later. After the failed 2003 film, I would like some well-deserved rehabilitation. And the creation of the series, and even more so with the participation of Netflix, which is famous for a good product, was just a great move.
Plot. To me, the chosen narrative scheme seemed very successful. Not quite linear, with flashbacks to Matt Murdoch's childhood and his subsequent becoming the "People's Avenger," later known as "Daredevil." The scenes of training the future hero Stick and a very peculiar “love” line of Matt and Elektra are very fumed.
Actors. A big bow to actor Charlie Cox, who worked well on the image of the Devil from Hell’s Kitchen. Well-spoken by Elden Henson, Foggy Nelson's character is a very cool and sincere kind man, always ready to come to his friend's aid. Colorfully made Kingpin is really such a powerful man, for whom nothing seems impossible. Elekra Nachios performed by Elodie Jung is beautiful, insidious, cunning and deadly. Well, Stick, created by master Scott Glenn, generally made the skin cover with goosebumps at every scene with him.
The atmosphere. Very gloomy. And this canon to some extent, because Daredevil comics are very noir, dramatic, and somewhere cruel and very, very similar to the character of the DC universe - Batman, there was also shown the dirt of the criminal world, the terrifying power of money and, as a result, the corruption of everything and everything, and in all this nasty cauldron there is a lone hero who fights all this as he can. Stunning action scenes and fight scenes, without any special effects, only hand-to-hand - very beautiful and spectacular. Fights in the corridors - this is, in my opinion, a kind of calling card of all Netflix series produced under Marvel license.
Interesting references to “the Avengers”, which are designed to show that, they say, we are all guys from the same world and one way or another aware of all the events.
As a minus, there are a few long, in my opinion, scenes and there are some not fully disclosed characters (but at the time of writing the review, there were only two seasons and I hope that the creators of the series have everything ahead).
P.S. In general, all the solo series from Netflix and their upcoming crossover – “Defenders”, this is the underside of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. No gloss, no pathos, no fancy costumes. Not so much about heroes as about people. I really like that approach. So, two seasons of "Daredevil" high bar withstood the fight. Whether they can keep it, time will tell. In the meantime...
The devil of Hell's Kitchen, leaving his bloody red mark.
The genre of superheroics in the cinema appeared a long time ago, and not only in films, but also in small series. (old Batman does not count - there is a series to watch not to review) But if you look at what comes out of the wing of Marvel and DC, we can say with confidence: this genre has reached a new level.
To a considerable number of films about superheroes, released every year in cinemas of large and small countries, the average viewer is already accustomed. But what does he do when he turns on his TV screen after coming home at night and is met by superheroes saving the world? Will this spectacle take the breath away, or will it have to spit acid of indignation? Now it is difficult to answer this, given the individuality of a person, his preferences, etc., but today there is a very significant number of TV series and films with such topics.
I’m not a fan of Daredevil as a character in the Marvel universe, but I admit he’s always been a bit of a mystery and it’s been a bit of a curiosity to watch him play in the pages of Spider-Man and the Avengers comics. It would seem that nothing foreshadows such a rapid appearance of the hero on large screens, when such a movie was not yet a thing ordinary and appreciated, but still it happened.
To make a good series tied to one superhero, not very popular among the masses, but nevertheless flashing here and there – you need to try. And given the fact that DC had already managed to shoot several similar projects before, some of which then sank to a level so low, reaching almost to the bottom, it became simply unbearable to watch, then the competitor studio had to do something cooler. And then Marvel decided to establish a close cooperation with Netflix, which was a very interesting move and brings a good result. Having tried the serial soil for hardness with such projects as Agent Carter and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Daredevil was born.
It is quite easy to perceive the series and made in a good modern style, transferring Hell’s Kitchen together with all its inhabitants to the screens of thousands of viewers. It turned out quite bright, beautiful, catchy. The atmosphere of the original comics about Daredevil and his difficult path in the fight against crime and combining two lives: a calm lawyer and a fiercely fighting avenger. Sometimes it seems that we are not watching a “typical Marvel”, where no one dies a painful death, and the characters are almost invulnerable to ordinary representatives of urban life, sometimes forced to live in fear for their family and children, who can become the victim of the usual brawl between two guys with superpowers. The series is even made in dark colors, which sometimes seems something from DC, but not from Marvel with their very “kind” comics.
But if you don’t compare the two big corporations that bring so much joy and resentment, and look specifically at this 2015 series, in fact, there is little negative and much more good. Here is a good game of actors, among which I would especially like to highlight: Vincent D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk), Charlie Cox (Daredevil) and Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson). And if the last two showed me an unparalleled hit in my image at the very beginning of the first season, then about one of the main opponents of Daredevil - Wilson Fisk I had some doubts about the caste and whether in fact the next ambal with habits will come to full control of the entire criminal system as in the 2003 film or this time the creators will be able to show something new and interesting. To put it briefly, Wilson Fisk and the actor himself beckoned me with their image of cruelty, intelligence and cold mind (especially when it came to another illegal case). And along with another villain-hero, everyone calls the Punisher (John Bernthal), the story kept in suspense for what these two characters could do not only to the main character, but to the entire city and its inhabitants. Probably, this is one of those cases when the actors are selected so well and perfectly fit into the general outline of the whole story that it becomes difficult and uninteresting to watch this creation without one of these details.
The work of the directors of the series is also worth praise, because when watching the series it seems that you are watching one movie (sometimes reminiscent of Christopher Nolan’s work on Batman), and not 2 seasons with many episodes. Good work with a gradual immersion in the world of the hero, without wasting time on ridiculous conversations and jokes of the characters, with a good staging of fights that have already been noted by many critics and just the audience.
As a result, the Devil from Hell’s Kitchen showed what a real hero should be – an ordinary person with friends / family who will stand up for any innocent person and take revenge on the offender, even if the latter has superpowers, and the hero only has fists.

Daredevil is the first superhero series I've met. I had watched a lot of Marvel movies before and thought the show would be as vibrant and typical (invincible hero, stupid villain, etc.) as the movies themselves. I was so wrong! I did not expect the series to be so dark and atmospheric, but about everything in order.
1. Very interesting characters. After watching this series Daredevil became one of the most beloved heroes of Marvel. Yes, I agree with Matt Murdoch, a classic hero, saying that after losing something, he begins to fight crime, but how he fits perfectly into the plot and atmosphere. I also liked the main villain, which is Wilson Fisk. It is very interesting to watch him, he is empathetic, worried about him throughout the series. Maybe I like him better than Daredevil. But Karen Page and Foggy Nelson didn't really hook me, I don't know why. The supporting characters are also not bad, in particular Elektra and the Punisher (I look forward to the series about him).
2. A delightful serve. Editing, scripting, visual effects – all at the highest level! Fights are especially surprising. They are calm, they are pleasant to watch and their head does not hurt (as I usually do). In general, for the serve plus!
3. Acting. I don’t know much about acting, honestly and with difficulty I can tell the difference between a bad game and a good one, but in this series, the actors’ performance is definitely great. Thank you so much to Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio and many others for the work done!
4. Minus. This is my personal opinion, but the dialogue in this series in my opinion is boring and inserted specifically to stretch the timekeeping. And yes, I know that without dialogue, but some of them are simply unnecessary.
“Daredevil” is definitely recommended for viewing! Despite the negatives, the series is still interesting to watch. I hope he continues to grow and gather more viewers.
The first season showed us that it is possible to create a truly quality product. I, like many others, I believe, was looking forward to the release on the small screens of the second season of Daredevil 39. I really expected that I wanted to start watching in the original voiceover, but Coldfilm quickly posted all the series.
What is striking and surprising from the first minutes of the series is definitely Frank's mother Castle! When a quarter of the season passes, you realize that the Punisher is not a secondary character in the project pro & #39; the devil of hell's kitchen', but one of the main characters! It’s like Batman in the movie 'Batman v Superman' it’s like Iron Man in the movie about 'Civil War'.
I’m not going to write about all the characters, I want to write about Frank.
Frank, damn it, he's so energetic, you look at him and you just can't believe it's happening on screen! He's just a sick psychopath! This is a real punitive, the one that was shown in the comics. Shit! It’s just very cool, brash and so charismatic that you involuntarily realize: '. About Daredevil or the Punisher?' Frank Castle just takes Matthew Murdoch’s entire screen time and draws attention to himself so much that you, like a little child, scream when you see this ruthless killer again on the screen! I haven’t seen such charisma since...I can’t even remember. This is the Punisher we've been waiting for, he kills everyone without any sympathy. He has no fear and does not care about pain. What is one scene when Frank's body is drilled with a chair tied to him? From such action on the screen a lot of goosebumps.
And the scene on the roof with tied 'Daredevil' and 'The Punisher' it's just gorgeous! What chemistry, what a game, my jaw just fell off. Watching these two characters interact is just a pleasure.
He's the best! I can’t say he needs a solo series, but having it in Daredevil 39 makes it amazing! I have never seen such serious and gloomy series that reveal and show us the essence of this rotten life! Almost all the corrupt and dirty pigs who want to line their pockets! Sweaty fat cats who have no honor, no regret, no compassion. This is the kind of trash our favorite heroes fight.
I cannot help but compare the clan 'Hands' with 'League of Shadows'... 'Arrow' and 'Daredevil'. I don't know how to say it better, but ' League of Shadows' in ' Arrow' it's just a sold-out compared to the clan 'Hand'.
There is no framework in the series that limits directors in filming and productions. Blood and spatter close-up, I even in the recent 'Deadpool' have not seen such violent scenes as in the second season. Thank you so much for that. For the truth, for the realism, for the emotions of the characters! A small bow to the creators!
Electric is absolutely irresistible, very amazing ' Draw '! Beautiful and strong, mysterious and dangerous! She will win the hearts of more than a dozen or even a thousand men. With the casting, the creators tried on 'ura'.
Well, how about without a cameo of another wonderful character Wilson Fix. Hell, he even manages in the second season, not having the main role to create the impression of one of the necessary villains, without which the atmosphere of the series would be lost. Hell, he even played divinely here in his little time. Once again, I am convinced of the extraordinary talent of this actor.
It's a pleasant madness, it's the drive and adrenaline that fills the whole season! The season does not sag, it moves smoothly and intensively, leading us to an epic conclusion of events!
I can definitely say that this is the best comic book series. I don’t care what it is, it is clearly the best in my personal top TV series! This series has made my weekend!
I recommend it.
39: How does it feel to be a hero? Look in the mirror and find out. Look into your eyes and tell yourself you’re not a hero.
That you have not endured or experienced or lost the most important things in life.
And yet you are here, survived hellish cuisine, the hottest place in the world, a place where cowards do not live long,
So you must be a hero. All of us, some more than others, but no one is alone.
Someone breaks his fists for the safety of the kitchen. Others are flooding the streets with blood in the hope of stopping a wave of crimes.
The cruelty, the neglect of life around them, but it's hellish cuisine. Angel or devil, rich or poor, you live here.
You did not choose this city, he chose you, because the hero is not the one who lives above us, protecting us.
A hero is not a god or an idea. The hero lives here on the street, among us, with us. Always here, but rarely recognized.
Look in the mirror and see your true self.
You're a New Yorker! You're a hero! This is your hellish kitchen! Welcome home!' (c)
The series tends to lose audiences as ideas dwindle over time and get worse from season to season. This was for example with the TV series 'Lost', 'Lonely Hearts' well, let’s say 'Supernatural'.
I must give credit, the series is very high quality, there is no superfluous this soap opera, so often characteristic of television. The plot itself, the production and the actors, all at a pretty high level. Surprised the main character, or rather the actor playing his role, at first it is difficult to imagine him in this role, but as it turned out to be in vain. It is he who leads the series, at the beginning of the first season, until he connects as if the antihero - the Kingpin.
Of all the current Marvel comic books, Daredevil will be the most down-to-earth, most serious TV version of the comic. There's no Tony Stark's ubiquitous jokes that are already just fed up, or Captain America's meaningful look, and that's great. In short, it is like a separate universe, a dark and gloomy city of Hell’s Kitchen.
Writing reviews on series can be a very hasty thing, because as soon as a new series comes out, at first it can be intriguing, but a couple of seasons pass, and you realize that you rushed to assess, because he became worse, he exhausted himself. In this case, I will still take a risk and say that the series will not lose its qualities and will remain at the same level.
It took two seasons and of course to say that it will be very difficult, but now we can say that this is the standard of television comics, it has the necessary qualities, it is logical, not delayed, the plot is developing here, the actors play their roles.
It was very nice to see something like this from Marvel, because Daredevil is like this, his world is darkness and fire. Perhaps this is the best superhero from Marvel Studios, because he lacks this theatricality, he just feels alive, not an iron man.
Definitely a great opportunity to get acquainted with comics, who has never seen a single Marvel movie. You will be deprived of unnecessary jokes from heroes in tights, you will find the darkness and dark streets of Hell’s Kitchen.
What was bribed in his time by the action movie Mark Steven Johnson 'Daredevil' - so it is an unusual gloomy atmosphere, the original devil-like superhero, who turned into an urban legend in the criminal environment, and who acts only under the cover of night. Even for his 'children' PG-13 film was very dark and tough, and that in fact it is the same teenage fairy tale as the notorious 'Spider-Man' Sam Raimi, can only be understood by revising 'Daredevil' in adulthood. But Christopher Nolan with his Batman trilogy turned the game in the comic book industry, setting a new tone, a new style, a new word in the genre if you will. His story about Batman is a well-thought-out trilogy, a dark, cruel, vital, decorated and finished story of a fighter against crime. There, Batman is not just an avenger without fear and reproach. There he is first of all a person with his personal problems, fears, experiences that do not give him peace, because the murder of his parents in front of his eyes and the image of the bat that persecuted him forever broke his psyche.
And Marvel took an unprecedented step. After a series of film adaptations ' sugar' blockbusters for teenagers in the form of ' Avengers' and all sorts of ' single' superhero projects related to them, the studio bosses decided to pay tribute to one of the brightest superheroes of the comic universe - Daredevil. Lost his sight in childhood, a guy whose father-boxer was killed in front of him because of conflicts with criminal authorities, who became a professional fighter under the strict guidance of another blind martial artist - all this unites Daredevil, a person with an acute sense of justice. Matt Murdoch administers justice all the time - working as a lawyer in court during the day, at night on the streets of Hell's Kitchen (the most dysfunctional area of New York) in the form of a demonic superhero Daredevil. Moreover, a person who dresses at night in the costume of the devil to scare criminals with one of his own kind, just asked for a modern approach to his image in a new film project. In the end, we got a series that was shot in the best traditions of Nolan. In fact, Matt Murdoch has a lot in common with Bruce Wayne of the model of Nolan - their path of becoming is in many ways similar, both are ready to put themselves on the altar of fighting crime to protect their city, both are dealing with an ancient clan of ninjas, both have phenomenal combat training, even the images of superheroes they chose exactly those that will scare the restless criminality (not Disney costume Spidey!), and Hell's Kitchen in this project is actually the same Gotham City, which floods a whole bunch of people in the same way! & #39 As the Joker said in 'The Dark Knight', ' Soon everyone will start going crazy' Yes, Daredevil, unlike Batman, is not rich and blind, but otherwise the characters are really similar to each other, and during the viewing even one gets the impression that the action ' Daredevil' takes place not in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but in the world of the Nolan trilogy. Even the central theme of Electra Nachios’ relationship is reminiscent of Catwoman and Batman’s relationship in The Dark Knight Revival & #39; (idea ' you owe nothing more to this city'), which again revolves around the sacrifice of the protagonist. Electra itself rather resembles a kind of mixture of Catwoman and Talia al Ghul (and in what it is similar to each of the mentioned characters, it will become clear only after watching the series). In general, the parallels of the series with the Nolan trilogy are incredibly, obscenely, a lot, but this only graces this project, making it the most original Marvel product. Once again, it is worth thanking for this thick, gloomy atmosphere of the impenetrable night, darkness and darkness that reigned inside the main characters. A very competent move is to make sure that most of the action develops at night, and the visual part itself, full of dark gloomy tones, perfectly conveys the atmosphere, largely thanks to the soundtrack. Sometimes there is a feeling that the series was directed by David Slade, and for a dark thriller it is a serious compliment.
As for the action - in 'Daredevil' he is on top, especially happy season 2. It was here, in series 3, that the authors showed what they were capable of. The staging of the action in episode 3 of the second season was so perfect that it seriously reminded the legendary 'Raid' - cruel, uncompromising, bloody and adult. A lush action where a devout superhero crushes extras with such force that you involuntarily doubt that they really remain alive after meeting the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen. As for other fighting scenes - juicy shootouts and explosions with a bunch of murders that the Punisher arranges, bloody duels of Elektra with a bunch of clan adepts & #39; Hand' - all this together shows us a magnificent spectacle of a full-fledged superhero blockbuster, for which the wide screen cries.
But the series is also strong as a crime drama - a tough story about an aspiring superhero, in which other storylines are successfully woven: the story of the revenge of a Marine who lost his family and the drama of a hired killer who dreams of being loved.
Famous comics characters here too are not few. Daredevil adequately portrayed previously not very well-known (only on 'Stardust') Charlie Cox, who, surprisingly, played no worse than Affleck. The Punisher performed by John Bernthal turned out simply chic - there was no more lively character in the series, played very heartfeltly, because of what his story turns out not only very gloomy, but also touching. Beauty Elodie Jung was very pleased with her presence on the screen - the role of Electra suits her very much, the character turned out to be much closer to the comic book original. Vincent D'Onofrio coped well with the role of Kingpin, separately it is worth mentioning the legendary Scott Glen as Stick. But beautiful Jung is one of the main reasons to watch the second season. Elden Henson and Deborah Anne Wall in their images of loyal assistants and friends of Murdoch as always did not disappoint.
'Daredevil' - a real superhero blockbuster Marvel, a strong project in the spirit of 'The Dark Knight' proving that if desired, even the series can plug the waist full-length action films, which are spent hundreds of millions of dollars. And that’s exactly what happened in the Marvel universe, so we’re looking forward to a third season after a promising second.
When watching involuntarily compare the new series with the Arrow, and there are reasons for this - both products about the secondary characters of their universes, both go out of their way to demonstrate the absolute realism of what is happening, to show the reverse side of the hero and the whole background of criminal organizations. That’s only if Arrow is almost entirely based on the stylistics of the Nolan Batman trilogy, then Daredevil is more a work on mistakes regarding the series about Oliver Queen. The same realism, the same simple man who survived rethinking and learning, the same flashbacks and the fight against organized crime. That’s just all these ' all the same ' it’s much tougher and closer to life, and it can’t help but rejoice the lack of glamorous life, which was shown through almost every episode in Arrow. And fights, what fights! This is really almost the first product for the mass audience, where the fights between bandits and the hero are shown as realistically and reliably as possible. And it's breathtaking. A completely atypical role for Charlie Cox, which he handled perfectly and at the same time looks extremely convincing as a fighter and a lawyer. The only one who was embarrassed is Rosario Dawson with a strange hairstyle, which is too outstanding actress for such not the largest projects.
In general, a brutal series with a good plot, several unexpected twists in the narrative, a well-seen villain in an unusual light and Charlie Cox, able to surprise both as an actor and as an athlete. If you are tired of glossy blockbusters and unreaoistic fights, this series is what it takes to refresh the perception.
I’m looking forward to a series that everyone watched a few months ago. This time I got to 'Daredevil' - the second series created in collaboration between the studio 'Marvel' and TV channel 'Netflix'. The first such series was ' Jessica Jones'. This series has made significant adjustments to the classic 'Marvel' formula, added to the narrative of realism, chamberliness and cruelty. This move was undoubtedly successful, but it was not so strong. There were gaps that did not allow you to get every minute pleasure from watching. But after the first step there is always the second. This very second step was the series 'Daredevil' which corrected many of the mistakes 'Jessica Jones' becoming much stronger and more solid. Cruelty ceased to catch the eye, black humor became more diverse, ' scripted clowning' disappeared altogether, the motives and characters became more mundane, human and adequate.
The plot of the series is reminiscent of a mixture of crime films of the 80s and Nolanov's "The Dark Knight" & #39;. Daredevil himself (Charlie Cox) is very similar to Batman. Matt Murdoch (Charlie Cox) can easily be called poor Bruce Wayne. Their philosophies are identical, their principles and methods of struggle are also very similar. The only difference between these characters is the financial condition. If Bruce Wayne can afford expensive suits and various high-tech equipment, then Matt Murdoch is content with a homemade suit and his fists. The story about the masked avenger is also not brilliant, especially the first season of the series, in which we are introduced to the universe of the series and the hero himself. The second season is gaining more serious momentum. Add new heroes such as Electra (Elody Jung) and The Punisher (John Bernthal). Continue the stories of the characters of the first season, whose lives radically changed, after the intervention of the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, mixing them with the stories of new characters in the series. This ' hellish mixture' works as a high-precision detonator, which seems to be sewn into the viewer’s heart. If your heart beats less than 120 beats per second, it will explode. But the heart does not think to stop, driving blood through the body at the speed of a jet plane.
Stunning scenes of fights and shootouts do not slow down throughout the series. Crowds of enemies die with liters of fake blood. The variety of enemies and criminal gangs, by the way, is also off the scale. Here you have the evil Russian mafia, the Mexican drug cartels, and even the Italians and the Irish. By the way, in 'Daredevil' there are even Japanese ninja-samurai, came straight from the film ' Battle Royal' and dressed in stylish black and red robes, fluttering in the wind. Incredibly spectacular and stylish mix of genres 'Daredevil' sometimes reminiscent of the films of Quentin Tarantino, where the main bet was also made on drama and expressive cruelty. Due to the huge amount of samurai content (Japanese mafia, ninja warriors, stories about teachers who educate their fighters from a young age) from the filmography of Tarantino, this series is most like a dilogy & #39; Kill Bill'. But the series does not focus only on fights, shootouts and chases, not forgetting about the competent development of characters, about the opposition of heroes who use different methods, but who have one goal. The villains in the series are also not one-sided. What is only the main antagonist of the series Wislon Fisk, whose role was played by Vincent Donofrio, known for the role of Private Kuchi in the film Stanley Kubrick & #39; All-metal shell'.
The series takes place in a fictional neighborhood of New York called 'Hell’s Kitchen'. It was shot in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Operator work, installation, work with sound - in the technical part of the series all at the highest level. All the dark alleys, roofs of skyscrapers, crowded streets, narrow corridors of buildings and huge penthouses on the last floors of skyscrapers are demonstrated with all the visual sophistication. The artist director tried no worse than the operator or editor.
Formally, the series 'Jessica Jones' and 'Daredevil' takes place in the same universe with 'The Avengers' but virtually no parallels between the series from 'Netflix' and feature films 'Marvel' No. There are only small verbal skirmishes where some events or characters from other projects are mentioned in passing. In one of the episodes ' Jessica Jones' the main character is attacked by a crazy woman who wants revenge on all ' special people' for the fact that while saving New York from aliens, one of the countless debris of skyscrapers falling down killed her grandson. Hearing her motive, Jessica smirks and refers to it as not her, saying things like, ' So what's wrong with me here? Do you think I can turn skyscrapers? If you have any complaints, go to the patriot or the green #39; Nothing else. No cameos from Chris Evans or Robert Downey Jr. Don't even count.
It’s fun to watch 'Marvel' gain money and experience in their cinematic universe pro 'The Avengers' begin to create a new universe, less large-scale, but more scripted. And so ' Jessica Jones' and ' Daredevil' that's just the beginning. I'm not saying it should be any better. It is possible that the peak has already been reached. But the desire to create something new and unique, taking a drop from everywhere, noticeable to the naked eye. 'Marvel' and 'Netflix' have already scheduled their series for several years to come. In 2017, in particular, is expected crossover ' Jessica Jones' and ' Daredevil' -' Defenders'. The squad will also include Luke Cage, who has already appeared in 'Jessica' and Iron Fist, the series about which will be released in early 2017, just half a year before 'Defenders'. We with you, the audience, can only wait for future premieres, hoping that 'Marvel' will not be heartless to stamp their series, and will approach each of them as thoroughly as to 'Daredevil'.
In defiance of modern superhero films, which have long resembled more or less different interpretations of each other, the series from Netflix ' Jessica Jones' and ' Daredevil' force a new look at the everyday life of people with opportunities beyond standards. They are well-designed characters, well-chosen actors, villains are not destroyed with lightning speed, and no one has problems with motivation and logic. And since these series are only the pioneers of the updated line, it can not but rejoice. I want to hope that the stated bar Netflix not only does not lower, but also raises even higher.
In 'Jessica Jones' despite the interesting storylines of the other characters, attention does not escape Jessica for a second. This is her story and she holds the situation firmly in her hands. In 'Daredevil' despite the fact that already filmed two seasons, the main character is much smaller. It’s not a downside to the series, it’s a feature of the series – it’s a much bigger event, and it affects more people. The villain in ' Jessica Jones' was more delicate in impact, he did not crave power, he craved love, this narrows the radius of his impact. It is this circumstance that determines the fact that what happens in Hell’s Kitchen often absorbs Matt Murdoch.
Almost all the characters in this series can be described in two words: contradictory loners. The attitude towards them is constantly changing, there are no clearly positive and negative characters among them. This is what is really important and interesting.
Matt Murdoch. If you're going to be a superhero, it's like Matt Murdoch. The future Daredevil in adolescence was found by a mentor and began to teach him. There are a lot of white spots in Matt’s past, but I think they will be gradually revealed.
The main character is a person who is not at all burdened by a double way of life. It's a given to him. And he has no need to trust anyone, even the closest one - he chose this path himself and carefully observes his own rules, even at the expense of friendship, personal life and normal relationships. The best friend, by the will of circumstances, reveals his secret and this gradually divides them. Matt's relationship with girls is flashy, ending in awkwardness and loneliness. Daredevil-defender of Hell’s Kitchen, but the price for it pays a huge.
Karen Page. Interesting person, I must say. At first she was shown as a standard girl, saved from trouble, but over time it became clear that this is still ' dark horse'. Having suffered at the hands of people, stronger and more powerful than her, Karen is not imbued with self-pity, but begins to build her own destiny. She is intelligent, she is independent, and at critical moments, this heroine is admired for her resourcefulness. She has many secrets that she is not in a hurry to share with anyone.
Foggy Nelson. Matt’s best friend often draws attention to himself with his sense of humor and eloquence. In conflict situations, Foggy repeatedly managed to turn the situation in his favor with eloquence, and the viewer admired him, as Karen Page did (in my humble opinion, this self-sufficient blonde is needed and more valuable for Foggy, and not for Matt). He is a professional with a magnificently hung language, and this is proved by the scenes in court and the further appearance of Geri Hogarth.
Wilson Fisk A magnificent antagonist who amazes with his versatility. A monster with iron fists with an unexpectedly trembling and loving heart. This gray cardinal is not sprayed with his affection, protecting and protecting only those who are really dear to him. He chooses for himself the best of women, the one who will be with him no matter what. He protects his mother by doing the irreparable for her, and by becoming a rich man, he provides her with a comfortable life. He highly appreciates James Wesley, his loyal friend and associate, the only one who knows everything about him.
It's because of Fisk that Hell's Kitchen rots. He wants to cleanse the city and uses very cruel methods, under the millstones of which fall all who dare to challenge him.
Frank Castle. Appeared in the second season, the Punisher is interesting not only for his own tragic fate, but also for the fact that he is a kind of mirror for the main character. Their opposition is not physical, but ideological. Castle kills the criminals while Daredevil continues to send them to a brisk knockout. What is the most productive method of giving people a chance, or sending them to the next world? This question is raised in court, where even the opinions of the residents of the city differ.
Electra Nachios. Spicy and full of unpredictability, dangerous and at the same time vulnerable Elektra tightly attracts attention to himself. Her whole life is saturated with a certain fatality, later she has no attachments and seems to be surrounded by a reckless rich girl, a descent to unusual adventures. But closer to the season finale, it opens like a Pandora's Box and elicits sympathy and understanding. A worthy heroine, over whom fate gathered many clouds.
In addition to interesting characters, the undoubted plus of the series is its increased realism. It is not only about the murders and cruelty that take place in the frame, but about how hard it is for the main character. Matt Murdoch in almost every episode is not childish, and then he recovers for a long time, and all this is hard and painful to watch. It remains only to wish him a quick regeneration in the future and wait for the third season, reflecting on the eternal question:
What is it, to be a Hero?
