A film that is built entirely on acting and charismatic characters, and it works. The team of characters consists entirely of witty words, listening to their dialogue is a pleasure. Not to say that the plot itself was amazing how exciting, but here it is all about the people. Makes you wonder who is adequate in this world.
The film shows 3 adult women, 2 men and children (teens 15-18 years).
The main character has his own tragedy, from which he left Serpukhov in Moscow. She gets a job where 2 women are shown to us: an abuser boss with an unrealized sexual life and a colleague with an unsuccessful family life. And it is shown so implausible, so clumsy that only children who have not communicated with adults on equal terms can believe it.
The girl is strange: just popping up to visit an unfamiliar adult uncle-neighbor and teaching him life - is it normal? Some game, comrades. Her mother is the same - to ask to look after the daughter of an adult unknown uncle while her mother is away? Where have you seen this movie?
70% of the film is based on absurdity. Ironic situations are shown, which in real life are hardly possible. It cannot be given to normality and correctness. This should not be promoted as a priority.
Of course, things happen in life. But the friendship between a teenage girl (grown up without a father) and an adult uncle (with psychological trauma) is clear to what will lead.
If you want to immerse yourself in the poorly invented story of a sad uncle and a daring girl, giving it almost 2 hours of life - a film for you.
My score is 5 out of 10. 5 for having a demonstration to give up drugs.
On the one hand, the acting is amazing, vividly recalling teenage problems, first love, vulnerability and trust, and that’s all. Ingrid is incredible.
On the other hand, there is a plot.
Classic 'Beauty and the Beast' The boss (a prominent mature woman with connections) and a young teenage schoolgirl fight for an unapproachable male heart.
The girl's mother is more concerned about her daughter's drug use than she is about hanging out with an adult man every day.
Which, for a moment, is inadequate.
Who, because of pathological jealousy, a tendency to violence and alcohol, killed his wife in an accident and, according to him, did not even think about her when they took her corpse - but thought about his slowed career.
Who tries to change, but in the end, at the slightest breakdown, returns to alcohol and good old violence. As long as it does not turn against the girl... for the time being.
What we have in the end: women are all as one obsessed with the idea ' love' and ' simple female happiness' even in a maverick psychopath. And that's fine!
For your happiness, you can even rush to another city at night. Romantic? Absolutely! Inadequate? Well, that's the kind of inappropriate people.
As a mother of a growing daughter, I watched the film with growing horror.
Trying to predict what will happen in a couple of years, when the grassland will break the bar. . .
Oh, there's episode two. I'll go see.
In general - ' what a mess!' - ' give me more!' - to watch and forget and be glad that this is not happening to you.
I am getting acquainted with the work of Roman Karimov for the first time. My eye fell on this film on the advice of a friend for which I am grateful, because this is one of the few Russian films that is worth watching.
What does this movie look like?
1. Plot.
In the course of watching the film, you realize that the plot is quite ordinary, banal, without any jumps and turns - "two people of different character become close to each other." But the plot is matched with actors, music, properly staged dialogues, light and satirical jokes that are not boring and do not cause hatred.
I liked how the author showed the relationship between mother and daughter, the problem of different generations is visible, because of which misunderstandings and skirmishes occur. I think that this film should be seen by parents and adults & #39; children in order to analyze the behavior of the characters, and possibly rethink their own.
2. Actors.
Ilya Lyubimov perfectly performed the film role in the person of Vitalik. His character, timbre and facial expressions reveal the character.
Ingrid Olerinskaya, apparently it was her debut, brilliantly played the role of a seventeen-year-old girl. The heroes of the film are alive, it is interesting to watch them, they want to listen, they want to empathize.
3. Dialogues.
I think the authors have worked on them. You do not wait for them to end, you do not want to rewind them, on the contrary, you listen to the words, try to understand them, transfer them to your life. The dialogue turned out to be vital and energetic, and some even want to take on their weapons.
4. Atmosphere.
The movie has nice colors. In the course of viewing, such a kitchen, familiar, soulful atmosphere is created in which you want to dream and from which you do not want to leave.
Conclusion: The movie turned out great. I am not afraid to call the film philosophical, but despite this, it is not depressing, does not drive into boredom, and remains to be soulful and easy.
In 2010, I watched it with excitement; in 2015, I showed it to everyone who was ready to listen; in 2020, for me, it was a meeting with an old friend.
Russian cinema is always an art house, and here the most important is the scale of the audience covered by this film. So this movie is about all of us. But if you are confident in your adequacy, then 100% will see yourself there.
There is an attitude with relatives with whom it is “necessary and decent” to communicate, and the life of an ordinary person tired of reality, and trying to negotiate with his cockroaches, there is a rebellious teenager who is not ready to accept the given and trying to find himself. There is a piece of relationships with parents in which there are no right and wrong, where both sides are inadequate in some places.
And there is Ilya Lyubimov, who hypnotizes with his timbre and acting work.
One of the best Russian dramas with comedy. One of the common problems in movies in my opinion is the inappropriate combination of two seemingly opposite genres. Sometimes it is very difficult to organically introduce a share of humor into a rather gloomy plot of a drama, so that it does not look foreign and stupid. But, to my surprise, Roman Karimov managed it well. Especially when you consider that “Inadequate People” is his first film (short films shot during training do not count).
The plot focuses on two main characters experiencing their problems of varying severity. Also, in addition to affecting the philosophy and psychology of man, the plot of the film in some manner reveals the difficulties of different generations, making them understand both.
Vitaly, an adult man who has seen life and experienced its severity to the fullest, escapes from problems to a new city, in the machinations of a better life and salvation from the past. But in the classics of life and drama, a new place is a new challenge. At first, everything seems to go quite smoothly, the new life goes on as usual, he settles in a new place, but at some point everything begins to go as hell. Vitaly is overtaken by new problems that begin to worry “former wounds”. A man has only two options: give up or fight.
The second hero is Christina. Still a very young girl, but also has a trailer with a lot of personal problems, pressing on her shoulders a heavy load. Although she may be brave, to some extent unconsciously denying the existence of difficulties, but throughout the film she will still have to come to one decision: to leave everything as it is or correct it.
And, by the way, Ingrid Olerinskaya, as well as Roman Karimov, the debutant in this film. This is her first film role and very successful. Although, I admit, I don't take it upon myself to judge her acting talent. This is my first encounter with her and it’s hard to judge whether she played the role or just remained herself. But objectively, her character is lively and interesting.
I cannot say much about visual impressions. Maybe he is far from the masters of directing, but as for the first full-fledged work of a new director, it is very beautiful. It's hard to explain how I felt about this camera job. The footage turned out to be quite lively and somehow familiar at home. Such a visual household.
And yes, a separate plus Karimov for beautiful life and sometimes cheerful dialogues, which can be stolen for quotes.
- You slept with her, this one. ..
- I sleep alone.
- Goyic!!
- Goyim sleep with men, and I sleep alone.
- You sleep with yourself, and you're a man! So you're a goy!
Of the downsides, I can only note one small personal remark: for me, this film became a one-off. Yes, I really liked it very much, it is well shot with a good plot. But after one view, he leaves no mysteries and some unnoticed trifles.
I recommend a movie to watch. The message is serious, but easy to understand. It’s a drama that sometimes makes you think, but doesn’t load your brain. It's just a holiday.
I never thought that you could organically combine drama with comedy, but this film is proof that it is still possible.
Inadequate People is the first film I have seen from the works of Roman Karimov. I can say for sure that according to preliminary estimates, Roman, as a screenwriter and director, has every chance to become my favorite author of films.
The plot, though banal, as for a drama, is presented very beautifully and pleasant due to the absence of some typical dramatic clichés from female novels. All actions take place in the atmosphere of everyday life of an ordinary person, which is easy to project on yourself and understand the characters.
The plus of the film is that it touches on a rather philosophical topic as the human psyche. For example, the main character Vitaly, who escaped from the past to a new city, still brought with him the baggage of his problems, which you will fully learn only closer to the middle, but from the very beginning you will be given hints of what happened to him. Throughout the plot, he will have to go a hard way to accept old and solve new problems, cope with all the difficulties, break down and get himself together again. His character is well known and understandable to an ordinary person. Ilya Lyubimov just perfectly performed his role.
The second character who is also the main and memorable is Christina. A young girl with a difficult character who will also have to undergo tests for her psyche, not break down and overcome all the difficulties that have long tormented her. Ingrid Olerinskaya also perfectly conveyed the character of her character and changes in it. And for being her first film role, I take my hat off to her acting talent.
Also, a separate remarkable feature of the film is just the chic dialogue, even if you take apart quotes:
- And I would like to work in some boutique of women's underwear, well, and underwear!
- Who's the underwear?
- No, a manual determinant of breast size!
Now about the visual: a pleasant color scheme, a little faded, but this only emphasizes a slightly gloomy theme of psychology and a certain dullness of the household of the main characters. Pleasant transitions of the camera, good construction of the exposition of the frame, a pleasant demonstration of the usual apartments and beauties of the city. I will not say that the camera work is something strikingly distinguished, but it is really good.
There were no shortcomings in the film. As for me, this is a beautiful drama with light and unobtrusive humor.
I can safely recommend the film to watch, but only adults who can understand all the subtleties of human psychology. The film is easy, although it deals with an important philosophical topic. When watching, you can just relax and have fun, without loading your brain with unnecessary information or thinking about something.
Why do you have memories that will keep you back when you walk with me? . . -
Roman Karimov is another star in the world of Russian cinema, which can be relied on. Like Yuri Bykov, he makes original and memorable films, and like Bykov, Karimov tries to control the entire shooting process himself, because first of all he wants to make the film as he sees himself, not as the producers see it. The novel not only directs his films, but also acts as a screenwriter and composer. Why do his films have their own personality? And if the Bulls are sure to plunge you into depression, Karimov will certainly pull you out.
'Inadequate people' not for nothing so called, the characters of this tape are inadequate, and each in its own way. Vitaly changed the hinterland to the capital, hoping to start life anew after the tragedy that occurred in his life, he seeks peace, but falls into a series of various circumstances that clearly do not promise him silence. In his way, there are people as inadequate as himself. Moreover, his doctor is a psychologist, and at the same time his friend is also an inadequate person. You can not even talk about Christina, she is literally the opposite of Vitaly. Extrovert and introvert meet each other
And#39. That's not the answer.
- No, that's the answer. It's just not what you want to hear. '
It is immediately obvious that Karimov tried to create something higher than just a melodrama with elements of comedy, he tried and breathed his soul into the film. The plot is pleasant, it is a pleasure to follow him and his characters, you can listen to dialogue endlessly, and not just listen, but also write down intelligent thoughts in a notebook to read for yourself, and quote in any convenient situation.
Ilya Lyubimova had previously seen only in the TV series Don’t Be Born Beautiful, where he played an extremely charismatic bastard, and I would never have thought that he was capable of such an ambiguous hero. Ingrid Olerinskaya made her film debut in principle, Karimov suddenly discovered a real nugget in her face for himself and for the whole world. When the moments of interaction between Ingrid and Elijah come, the real magic begins. There is love in the air, but not the love we usually see. This love is much deeper than the carnal attraction of two persons of the opposite sex, it is the attraction of two lonely souls to each other.
Outcome: Inadequate people are a unique film, it attracts and it is impossible to break away from it. It perfectly spelled out the characters, from the main characters to episodic. There are non-banal dialogues and amazing monologues. In the film reigns a stunning atmosphere, which pulls to tuck into a warm blanket and dream that sooner or later you will meet your soul, especially when very lonely inside.
It took a long time to watch this movie, but it always seemed that there would be a lot of expression and emotion, depth. Towards the end of the show, I just want to say one thing: I didn’t. I want to highlight only Ilya Lyubimov, a very charismatic man.
I was still confused by the age difference between the main characters, and until the second half of the film I was hoping for pure bromance between the characters. But they stuck feelings neither to the village nor to the city. Where did they come from? Well, from Christina’s side, I can still understand (grown without a father, problems with her mother, such girls usually choose older men), but what did Vitaly attract to her? This leads to the following paragraph.
The main character did not cause any sympathy. Typical teenager ' all morons, one I'm normal ' It didn’t seem to be deep enough.
I’m tired of watching teenagers in movies all as one obsessed with sex. You can’t really see it without it?
Plus - a few very funny dialogues in the piggy bank, which did not let you get bored.
- Self-improvement? Where to go next, Vitaly?
- You never talked about your family.
- I just don't like swearing.
Of course, it is worth considering that specifically for Russian cinema, against the background of the rest of the thrash, this is quite a decent job. But if you look in isolation, I wouldn’t say that I was impressed or even made to think.
Have you ever felt superfluous? When everyone around you seems not to see you, not to notice or not want to notice you? It is these questions that are asked not only by the characters of the film “Inadequate People”, but also by the audience.
The main character is thirty-year-old Vitaly, who after sad events decided to reset his life, start with a clean slate. To do this, he leaves his hometown of Serpukhov and moves to Moscow. A new apartment, a new job seemed to go according to plan, but one day our hero meets his neighbor Christina, she definitely will not get into the pocket. Our heroine also has her own problems, in particular with her mother, who with her total control does not allow the girl to develop herself. Helping each other in different situations, Vitalik and Kristina quickly find a common language and become friends. As the film progresses, their friendship turns into a love affair, but what about it? Is Christine only seventeen?
The movie "Inadequate People" surprised me. I was surprised to see this kind of drama. It’s not often that Russian directors take on such films, but this time it turned out well. Actress Ingrid Olerinskaya, who played the neighbor Christina, was indeed seventeen years old on the set and at that time she did not even graduate from acting school. Despite this, her character turned out to be very believable, but it is clear that acting still needs to be learned. It was curious to watch the development of the main characters' relationship and the chemistry between them, even if it is almost elusive. Heroes had a lot to go through, but their faces without emotions do not give us the opportunity to empathize with them. In addition, I did not like the flashbacks that are stuffed with the film, it is not clear why they are needed.
Roman Karimov, the director of the film, who played the role of a bartender in it, showed us a plot that is not typical for the Russian viewer, but all the characters and events fit into the scenery so much that because of the ego, the film looks like an ordinary story told to you by some familiar neighbor. Whether it’s good or bad, decide for yourself.
5.9 out of 10
I have heard about Roman Karimov for a long time, but I have never seen any of his films before. I decided to start with the film “Inadequate People” – his debut work.
In the process of watching the film, it made me realize that it was the director’s first film. In my opinion, the film has quite a lot of flaws and oddities, most likely due to the small budget of the film and the inexperience of Karimov. I often felt that the actors played inappropriately, the emotions in some places were too unnatural. Ilya Lyubimov, as for me in general the whole film with the same facial expression (just like Ingrid Olerinskaya) passed. Some dialogues and scenes also raise questions, for example – the meeting of Christina and Vitaly with her “boyfriend”, to whom Vitaly, grasping the hand, manages to break his leg (0_0), a similar situation happens later, and most likely this is done specifically to show the comic character of Artem Dushkin, but why then it does not stand out from the rest of the scene, in the end it is more like an unsuccessful take. That's enough in the movie.
And yet, after watching the whole film, I feel very positive, despite all the shortcomings, the film looks very smooth and calm, the humor (after all, this is a comedy) is quite good, there were probably only a couple of moments where it seemed inappropriate to me. I really liked the characters. Yes, played in places not very, but in general they all look very organic, and most importantly Live, probably this is one of the biggest advantages of this film. Of course, especially liked the pair Lyubimov and Olerinskaya, their strange relationship was very interesting to watch. The final is open (without spoilers), well, the second part is on the way (after 10 years!). Did I want to know the story after watching it? And it seems to me that I received positive emotions, shortcomings can be forgiven.
I am glad that I watched this film and made sure that there are directors who are able to shoot not an empty set of gags and jokes below the belt, but an easy and soulful, albeit with minuses comedy. I'm looking forward to the second movie. In the meantime, I'm going to watch Karimov's other films. Good luck watching!
I watched this movie a little late. It should have been the year it was released.
In Russia in 5 years can begin a completely different life, deep, however, the same as 500 years ago. Including because the film has a feeling: any woman over 20 years old is a boring old woman, as in some XVIII century. It is no longer fresh, attractive, whatever its external data, rubbed from all sides, and in general somehow lost its sharpness of perception. Chances are available only to older schoolgirls, and even then not everyone: they should be “not like everyone else”, special, practically Chosen, as in a young adult. In the film, there is something from teenage fiction: whether young cheerfulness (this is a director's debut), or general immaturity, or ease of being: everyone's apartments are good, schoolchildren drive foreign cars, work is almost instantaneous, moving from Serpukhov to Moscow is carried out by a light movement of thought, men drink only in extreme circumstances: when they lose loved ones.
Stressing your memory, you remember that there was such a very short period when the Russian middle class was born at high prices for energy resources, which even went to the American manner to solve problems to the worst psychologist in the history of cinema (Eugene Tsyganov).
Yeah, that was something. It was, it worked out. Yuri Bykov’s “Plant” may have failed at the box office (or what happened to it?), but now it is the most relevant Russian spectacle: about people wanting to eat. Moral: You need to shoot, write and draw immediately for centuries, otherwise in less than a decade you will become hopelessly outdated. Of all the relevance will remain one mass "CHE"", which is consistently pronounced by all actors, even Ilya Lyubimov with his beautiful baritone.
If you discard the mothball fragrance, it is not such a bad movie.
Witty, not stupid, sometimes funny.
Debutante Ingrid Olerinskaya pleases the eye and even the ear (when she does not say "CHO""). This is an organic, lie-free fusion with the image of a difficult and cool schoolgirl, in which there is even something genuine in the Russian equivalent; it is impossible to believe in American cool schoolgirls, even if you are a student yourself. You don’t believe it either, but there is something in our girls: apparently, the traditions of domestic peteushnitsa, started by Sasha Rukoyatkina from “Pulp Talent”. These girls have grasped all the wisdom of life and will shut Clint Eastwood’s belt in a competition to burn through reality with their eyes. Well, the father was gone, the men were passive or sexually preoccupied. If you don’t, you will be left with nothing.
It’s all pretty sad, but the movie is even fun.
Well, Lyubimov is a good actor. Although it is a pity that his ironic thoughtfulness has not yet found a better use.
But it can always be worse. It is, after all, Russian cinema, from the word "Russia" that is. Tomorrow, you see, the factory will become obsolete. In the meantime, you can also see "Inadequate People" under pasta.
Of course, I understand, they made a comedy, and the authors wanted to joke and make the audience laugh, but a movie is not a set of scenes with sarcastic dialogue. This is usually how sitcoms are built. In fact, everything looks like a series, except for some romantic episodes that stabilize the narrative a little, but then it turns out that it is completely in vain – comedy and sketches filled with ironic puns begin again. Irony here is generally the main technique and sometimes not at all appropriate. All the characters turned out to be such bile polymaths, who talk with book constructions with an admixture of war. They constantly let go of each other’s sharpness and this is issued as normal, as if the characters have one mental disorder, accompanied by excessive irritability.
As a result, the importance of the characters of the main characters (Vitalik and Christina) is reduced to zero. What then makes them in charge? I didn't get it. They are the most ordinary, that is, adequate, that is, people corresponding to the norm, contrary to the phrase pronounced by the main (actually secondary) heroine: “But we are inadequate people.” In general, the main script miscalculation is that the reality in the film is toy (well, two cans of beer do not cost 750 rubles, and weed is not sent by friends from Holland), all the characters are secondary, devoid of both God and the devil, which, as you know, lies in the details. That is, everything is like a scenery for one author’s technique – sarcasm, it is he who is the main character here, who at the end hushed on the background, and the theme of inadequacy allegedly revealed.
As it seemed to me, "Inadequate people" hung between the genres of romantic comedy and drama. It seems that there are moments in the film that should make the viewer smile. But it's a little too tight for that smile. At first, it is interesting to observe the witty dialogues of the characters of (all without exception). And then this trick starts to bite. For in the life of such witty people who immediately find a worthy answer to any joke or ridicule - not so much. And here it is just like a championship of some kind: the wizards gathered to measure the quirkiness of the mind. And let's push each other into sensitive situations and get out of them. If there were two of these dialogues in the film, no, three times less, the story would only benefit. And so, thanks to the abundance of wit, all realism has disappeared somewhere.
There was no more comical action in the story. The rest is only pathetic attempts to somehow defuse the situation, which, in fact, was not so tense. Therefore, not a drama at all, but only a weak message to it.
Conflict has a fundamental place in drama. What's the conflict? What is it? The fact that the hero wants two girls at once: one at work, and the other in the apartment, and he does not know who to choose? Strange conflict in that case. Is the hero trying to escape from his past life? I'm sorry, but what is the escape here? Is it possible to move a few tens of kilometers, from Serpukhov to Moscow (after all, it is known that the city of Serpukhov is the nearest suburb of Moscow). You can go there several times a day and turn back. You don't even need an apartment for that. So there was no sense of the hero trying to escape from himself. Rather, the hero of Ilya Lyubimov is a pamper of fate. Well, he's got everything in his new place: And the apartment came from somewhere. He's got the car. And work, the main occupation of which is drinking coffee, appeared. Not life, it's a fairy tale. Well, what's the hero's problem then? His story remains completely undisclosed. Therefore, attempts of some kind of pain from the events that occurred are also not felt. Yeah, there's some black and white footage in the story, like, the recent past. Yeah, I think there was a girl there. It was some kind of muzzle. So what? Where's the tragedy? Where's the difficulty? Where's the search? There's none of this! In any case, I didn’t see it in the story.
The main character named Vitaly continues to play with fate: he drinks, at the slightest occasion disbands his hands, sits drunk behind the wheel, spins new novels. Is this kind of hero being asked to empathize? But I can't figure out what he has to empathize with. He has everything in Serpukhov and in the capital. And the girls are hanging themselves on it. And the men, oddly enough, all fall on the first blow. It's like a superman.
No, it's not that bad. The hero - Vitaly is interesting in his own way. For his not always adequate antics gives pleasure to watch. However, throughout the plot does not disappear wonder: why he gets away with everything so easily. That doesn't happen in real life. Well, if the film is ours with the message of maximum realism, then please, provide our hero with a set of difficulties with which he must cope. Even the accident he was in in the past left no trace of him. I scratched my bruised shoulder a couple of times throughout the story, and let's get back into love affairs. But you could add literally a small detail: leave a scar on the hero’s face after the accident. Or make it limp on one leg. Really? More than that! And then the life of our Vitali could have developed quite differently. And it turned out invulnerable Vitaly, who is able to get into more than one accident, and he will not be anything.
The character Ingrid Olerinskaya - I consider quite successful. A kind of overgrown girl who does not know what she wants in this life and who is annoyed by everything around her. And the mother, as a person who is constantly nearby, gets the most. Quite a life situation. Yes, such girls at the crossroads are capable of stormy romances. But these novels, as practice shows, are very fleeting. And they can interrupt in an instant for some completely banal reason. That is why The plot "Inadequate People" should have started with the scene that this film ended with. And then the drama could have turned out well, and the comedy would have worked out too. And so... not two, not one and a half. Although it's possible to look at it once.
I don't know how many people do, but I heard about this movie from BadComedian. Based on his taste, I decided to take a look. From the first shot I knew something was wrong. There were two major weaknesses at once.
Acting game
Nothing. Ilya Lyubimov and Ingrid Olerinskaya walk like two carved cardboard silhouettes, who sometimes smile (which is remarkable, the last unknown girl from the courtyard was where she was found for the role, without casting). Only some actors (for example, the heroine’s mother) really play, and others just try to do it, and they fail.
Heroine
It seems that the name appeals to the fact, they say, everyone considers inadequate people Glavheroes, and the truly inadequate are those around them. The heroine is “not like everyone else.” Does that make her a good hero? Ordinary teenage maximalism. It promotes a philosophy which it does not follow, and why should I, as a spectator, sympathize with it? It belongs in the mess in which it turns.
The film is trying to be so oooooo-so psychological, not like everyone else (just like the Glavheroine), only there is no psychology there, but only some kind of crooked likeness of it. On this basis, dialogues are bad, pseudophilosophical and pseudopsychological.
More or less interesting two characters - the mother of the heroine and Glavger Vitaly. At least he has an interesting and sympathetic story behind him, and his mother is such an ordinary character of a loving mother who does things that her daughter believes are good for her. It would be possible to reveal their relationship with their daughter through this prism, but no, we see visits to a pseudopsychol who spits cookies in the face of the heroine, and almost do not see the transformation of the relationship between the daughter and mother.
Why the heroes fell in love with each other (and especially quite adequate Vitaly in a completely ordinary selfish girl with teenage maximalism) I was unclear.
It’s funny to see Bed praise this movie, because there’s a lot of stuff that he’s talking about. Where he saw the humor, I don’t know. Humor is different, but humor in this film causes only hysterical laughter (maximum a couple of jokes really smiled).
As a result, we have a film with no acting and plot, with boring characters, dialogue and humor.
The score under 8 of this film will always remain a mystery to me. And mine.

A good film with a raid of “Difficulties of translation”, but a banal ending
Roman Karimov is one of the best contemporary Russian directors, a great talent. The film “Inadequate People”, the first full-length, is considered his best work. I will tell you about my attitude to this work.
Plot. Soap opera, banal, this we have seen many times. Two “extra” people are such kindred souls, but for objective reasons they cannot be together. Plus attempts to accept and change yourself, a sense of guilt, awareness of the futility of being, misunderstanding of others. It all reminds me of the later American film My Boyfriend is a Psycho, and there a similar storyline was built more interesting. The same applies to the association with "Difficulties of Translation" - the ambiguous relationship between a young single girl and a not very young single man, which were also revealed more successfully, or rather, their finale was more successful, beautiful, logical, wise ... (not spoiler). What you like. The relationship between mother and daughter is very cool, I even want to show this film to my mother, and the children, if I have them. The man in the women’s team is great, it’s a pity that this aspect was given little time.
Actor's play.Pearl of the film. All the characters are bright and natural. And Karimov is especially good at female characters and actresses, he selects very good ones; Ingrid Olerinskaya is remarkable in her first role.
Dialogues Another pearl. Some people just want to get quotes. But there are stupid, clumsy, whatever. This is also a feature of Karimov as a screenwriter. It is just “wow, how cool is it said”, the hand automatically leans against the face.
The atmosphere of the film. A soulful, kind, not stupid movie. I don't like the ending, but it fits in, though - a sense of wonder, all things.

Despite the high-quality shooting and very pleasant to the eye warm tones of the picture, flavored with a velvet voice Ilya Lyubimov, the debut work of the director Karimov became rather a placebo against the autumn fundra - with a focus on a good romantic comedy with "emptiness" inside, where there is absolutely nothing to blame, but very, very much want.
I want to reproach the leading characters in excessive tragedy and detachment, but still comes the understanding that in relation to the surrounding reality it is still softened. And in general, although the film and with a dramatic background, which (which, of course, pleases) is at least some explanatory factor of what is happening, the result of the general “background” is too canonical, while throughout the plot does not leave the feeling of tension (not taking into account the inexplicable “sterility” in the frame).
A standard Russian-language filmographic modern set in the form of offices, BDSM bosses, strange psychologists and sexual unshavenness on the face of the protagonist can scare someone away, but what is wrong with an already invented bicycle when you can go anywhere? And in the domestic space today there are not so many attractive paintings. “Inadequate people” deserve attention. It was a good debut.
This movie reminds you of one of the most important things in art. It resonates in the soul. Such an emotional pot, chips pierce the heart, exciting hundreds of nerve impulses in the brain.
History is transmitted holistically. In this good plot, it is not difficult to see allusions to American Beauty, but it is... an ideological component. Place and time of action, compositional constructions (flashbacks, parallelism, etc.) fix a separate place within the worldview. In other words, if you imagine that a similar story could happen somewhere nearby, everything else becomes irrelevant. This is the same “true love” that covers and holds our world in an invisible field, regardless of ages, views, interests or characters. It can give you an incredible amount of happiness that you don't have to pay for, or it can give you the same amount of suffering that you can't deserve. And there is a wonderful humor and comedy of positions that cause fits of smiles to the ears.
All right, technical details.
Little understanding of the picture and camera work, I can say that it is very good in general, and I like it in particular. I like the choice of plans, the sequence of scenes, the choice of environment, the setting of light. Nothing beyond that, of course (like in Survivor or Hardcore). Everything is in its place, every emotion, every movement takes its frame on the timeline. I don’t think I need anything else.
The music in the background super cool builds the atmosphere. Most of all, the scene is remembered in this regard, when the main character recalls the turning point of his life on the “night of revelations”. Super sensitive musical backing, completely removes the whole "household" from this scene.
To sum up: without any troubles about the midlife crisis (to which I have not yet lived) and the solipsistic spell (about life as in a dream), I will say – I am glad that there is such a wonderful film.

That (another) case when the rating on the film search does not correspond to the level of the film a little more than anything.
This film was recommended to me by friends as a rare high-quality creation of Russian cinema. Creation may be rare, but quality raises big questions.
Question one: actors. For some reason, they all behave as if they were under the influence of psychotropic substances, or they were hit in the head with a brick. Emotions zero, the retardation of the main character, “master of sarcasm”, by the end of the film is completely enough. In addition, all actors have some problems with diction and intelligibility of speech, God, they should go to a speech therapist.
Question two: humor. He's gone. “Sparkling” sharpness of the main character consists of clichés, typed from stupid publics Vkontakte. The rest of the jokes are so flat that the pancake looks like a football compared to them. The plot line with the psychologist was apparently conceived as ironic, but something clearly went wrong. The stupidity and, again, the slowness of the actor performing his role is so bulging that it is not funny, but sad. I will not quote, or I will not miss spoilers. I will only note that the dialogue is approximately at the level of the third class and “who calls names, it is called so”. Humor hints appear in the line with the protagonist's unlucky boyfriend (Christina), but they are too weak to count. No, seriously, for all the time watching the film did not cause a single smile. How to go to the concert Petrosyan.
Question three: plot. The story of the relationship of a thirty-year-old man who has problems with self-control, and a rude schoolgirl. The schoolgirl covers everyone and everything, calls her classmates morons, and at the same time she gathers the same morons to her home for a party. What? Where's the logic, the consistency? The characters are emphatically stupid, dumber than in the most thorny American comedies, while completely devoid of characters, emotionality and liveliness at least any. It was as if they were just cast for extras, not bothering to be. Maybe that’s humor, but I can’t understand it.
P. Badcomedian calls this film one of the funniest Russian comedies in recent years. Contemporary Russian comedies, of course, are even lower, but, damn it, Christmas trees are even funnier and kinder than this.

Because it's better than Gorky and all that stuff.
At one time, the first tape of the master-on-all-arms Roman Karimov gained good fame as an example of well-shot low-budget Russian cinema, capable of attracting the viewer even in the complete absence of advertising. In a sense, the film continued the trend of tight-knit author’s low budgets and even acquired a certain aura of cultism around itself. Now, at least, it is constantly used as a weapon in the fight against Russian blockbusters, presenting “Inadequate” as an example of true diligence, perseverance and professionalism, the existence of which many Russian directors have long forgotten. But is this film worthy of such flattering reviews and sky-high ratings of viewers and critics, and what, in fact, is the secret of its attractiveness?
Formally, "Inadequate" appears as a melodrama with periodic output in ultrasentimentality. Even an inexperienced viewer will notice that the plot is almost cut out of a whole set of various stamps of all suits and colors. The general stamp is, of course, a purely Woodyllenian protagonist. Arriving from the province, a middle-aged man who immediately establishes “close contacts of the third degree” with an attractive high school girl from the next apartment, who perfectly satisfies his sexual boss, ready for him to crawl on his knees and increase the salary of the entire department, and, of course, he can work a guy who is younger than him for ten years with a smile of superman. Also, the protagonist proudly carries a deep emotional trauma from the past, and sometimes feels a sense of guilt, not quite understandable and plausible, and, to top it all, periodically loses self-control, putting the next cashier from the supermarket or secretary in place.
In theory, we must understand the depth of the complex and contradictory existence of the character, to understand the diversity of his spiritual complexes and problems. But something constantly prevents him from affinity, for some unknown reasons, his “person” constantly eludes understanding and empathy. Perhaps one of the reasons is the fact that Vitaly desperately and unsuccessfully self-reflects and tries to distance himself from his own essence, and therefore, for viewers, the true face of the character is constantly hidden by a mask. In fact, the whole film is a kind of course of in-depth introspection, the path to oneself, which the audience passes with Vitaly. The truth to which the director leads us is a simple banal fact – believe yourself and your feelings. As the saying goes, “You are who you are,” no more, no less.
Perhaps this is the secret of the lack of interest of the image of Vitaly despite all the efforts of the author - on the one hand, he is too cynical, on the other - too anti-cinematographic, banal and not fit into the framework of peculiar cinema concepts. There is no break in the image, although it was implied. This character is a kind of film experiment, with its own successful and unsuccessful moments. However, at least, it can be argued that such kind of heroes Russian cinema presents to the viewer is extremely rare. Although the character, as well as the whole design and atmosphere of the film, of course, borrowed from Allen, who experimented with them much more successfully. (Interestingly, Allen is a workaholic and human orchestra like Karimov.)
The second level on which the narrative of the tape unfolds is Vitaly’s interaction with an “inadequate” social environment. On the example of the protagonist, the director made it clear that he wanted to achieve a representation of the natural existence of the individual, breaking down the barriers of psychoanalysis and dissolving all theories of existence. At the same time, Karimov also argues that social, interpersonal life as a whole is much broader than any psychological theories and interpretations. Everyone has their own role, which can be read in a second by their facial expressions. However, it is interesting that even deviations from this linear reading of his memorized text in the form of periodic removal of masks of decency, deviation from standard norms of behavior, etc., are presented by Karimov as not leaving the role (i.e., an act of freedom), but, in a sense, non-standard improvisation on the same stage. In this retreat there is no living naturalness, feeling into being itself. Of all the characters in the picture, only one is a real embodiment of real life - a teenage girl who denies this very life at the root.
It is interesting to note that at some point, even she succumbs to the evil spells of psychoanalytic interpretation and structural ordering of the personality. But even this defeat is needed only in order to establish itself even more firmly in victory. Just as in almost all world works of art, salvation for the main character from the surrounding falsehood and, not least, from himself, carries a young beauty who has not yet had time to grow into the world of total simulation and his eternal lies, moreover, resisting this kind of growth with all her might. Her nihilistic negation serves only affirmation, her desperate pessimism only covers up the love of life, which she does not want to exchange for the illusion of happiness. Of course, it should be noted that this is also atypical and inadequate to the well-established canon of the girl-savior, in this character there is an incredible originality and power of an unliked artistic image.
Her interaction with the main character is almost an absolute hit, justifying any film sins of the picture. This is no longer just a relationship of characters, but the birth of something essential for every person as a person. Perhaps, the reaction that arises between them is not called love, but rather some deep mutual understanding of two solderers who right on the stage in the middle of the scenery almost divinely understand the falsity of their position and the thirst for authenticity hidden behind it. It is only through reflection and refraction in the consciousness of another that they find their own image for the first time. There is something really intriguing, catchy, romantically fresh and immediate about their union.
With my hand on my heart, is it safe to say that this is a good movie? Yes, but this statement will be accompanied by a shadow of doubt. Of course, the picture is inherent in some inspiration, besides, it is not without a sense of beauty. Yes, it is not boring, the characters are written out perfectly, the main idea is clearly traced, the ratings of film critics and viewers speak only about its merits. But while watching for some reason sometimes there is a feeling of “non-identity”, as if the problems surrounding Vitaly, surrounded by a world of “inadequate” suddenly captured the film itself, and if the plot of the main character eventually gets rid of them, then how can we say about this in relation to the picture as a whole? Isn’t the film’s moral of always being yourself, and that love will save you, a completely “inadequate” palliative without all of Allen’s self-irony? Karimov, of course, was disingenuous when he decided to go for the public’s sake and get on the tracks of good old-fashioned (and beloved) romantic tragicomedy, which is becoming increasingly obvious closer to the finale. However, to summarize, it can be clearly stated that the positive qualities of the film prevail absolutely. Amid a sea of second-rate comedies for millions of dollars, "Inadequates" looks like the only truly adequate citizen in a crowd of crazy idiots.
Thirty-year-old man Vitaly comes to Moscow, gets a job in a women's magazine, where his partner becomes a slightly hysterical woman dissatisfied with family life, and the boss is a bitchy sadomaso-chief, neighbors - also in her own way, a caring elderly woman who does not get along with her young daughter, who shows miracles of healthy cynicism to her, their relatives, lustful young men-majors and also reaches for a surprisingly calm, despite all the described, Vitaly. By the way, there is also a psychologist (Gypsy) who helps all these inadequacies.
While the Olympic calm and common sense of the protagonist create an almost family comedy – everything is fine. But as soon as the film begins to move to the finale, in which there is no longer any cut of generations, no underlying antagonism of metropolitanism and moderate provincialism, no topic of actual urban madness, everything becomes less amusing, turning into an almost ordinary story about the love of the midlife crisis and the matured Nabokov nymphet. Although... love is submissive to all ages – also a good idea. But the funny scene of beating a psychologist by the boss still brightens up this melodramatism.
Roman Karimov, for me, is not only a good director, but also a great screenwriter. To begin with, I took the trouble to see his past works, such as “Everything and at once” and “Walk, Vasya!”. And these two comedies, in my opinion, are a great example for many directors who call their creations for example: “Bitter!”, “Soon Moscow-Russia” and “Vyvnoy”, allegedly “promotion in Russian cinema”. Inadequate people - this is the very promotion.
There's a pretty small but annoying detail in the film, I'm talking about the actors. Someone will say that they play worse not where, and someone will say that they play like in life. Perhaps we can agree with the latter, but half, because it seems to me and I do not even think which character he should reveal through emotions, but here we have either a stone face, or a stoned and quiet intonation of the characters.
Still, the rest of the film is fine, especially humor I really did not laugh in the voice, so that the neighbors called the mentor, but this humor ... I don’t even know what or what.

It often happens that you watch a movie or series, and there the hero is made so stupid that his actions are even more shameful than his mistakes. He does something, says something stupid, and you sit with your palm to your eyes, try not to look at the screen and think: “What are you, fool, doing, stop!”
The whole film is based on the fact that the characters behave strangely, as if everything happens beyond the real world: the rude main character Christina, the awkward and strange Vitaly, the ridiculous and always restless mother of the heroine. It is clear that Christina is going through a difficult teenage period - after all, she is only 17 years old, but to snarl everyone indiscriminately, on any occasion, just to say something nasty, somehow strange. The reasons are not disclosed: why does she behave in this way? Father's attention is lacking? With a psychologist, the heroine was engaged, but what they got from this experience is unclear.
The strangest thing is that I liked Christina’s best friend, Nina. She is presented as the most lively and whole character, despite her rustic and vicious image.
It seems like a good movie, but it lacks integrity and logic. If everything was built around the theme of love, then it could not be drawn to something intelligible.
Vitaly moves from Serpukhov to Moscow, a charming middle-aged man, quiet and well-mannered. He gets a job at the women's magazine "Hooliganka". And next door lives a single mother Julia, who constantly quarrels with her daughter 17-year-old Christine. With the last, going through a transitional age, Vitalik became friends. Just like that, without a hint of pedophilia. Helps her with English, pretends to be an uncle in front of idiotic peers.
The directorial debut of Roman Karimov, a young Russian director who is highly praised by critics. At the time of filming, he was only 26 years old and had a good conversational comedy. The dialogue in the film (the author of the script is also Karimov) turned out very well. Live and natural, similar to the real (which is rare for our modern cinema), and without mat. Jokes and laughter in the film a little, but there is all the salt that it seems to look at a segment of someone’s life. And the feeling of cinema almost does not occur.
Ilya Lyubimov as Vitaly is good. At first glance, an intelligent and calm character, he is actually trying to get rid of inner turmoil with the help of a psychologist. Even more liked Ingrid Olerinskaya, and for the girl it was an acting debut and she played brilliantly. Phrases, manner of speaking, her character is just bravo! The rest of the actors were somewhat lost against the background of the main couple. The same Yevgeny Tsyganov as a psychologist somehow remembered little. A little better than Yulia Takshin in the role of the nymphomaniac boss Vitaly. Although with her character, I still felt too overwhelmed.
A decent Russian picture, especially a comedy, is now worth its weight in gold. Roman Karimov showed how without mat and vulgarities, with a minimum budget (100 thousand dollars) you can make a good movie.

You live your everyday life, not knowing that all around you are inadequate people, people, people. In some delirium, you ask yourself the main question: how adequate are you yourself?
The work of Roman Karimov is only gaining momentum, and this film was the beginning. I want to believe that further work will not only reach the high bar of this film, but will also be able to surpass it. Karimov is a caring dad. He is not just a director, he is a scriptwriter, and composer, and a bit of an actor (in one of the final episodes). “Inadequate people” is his full-fledged child, which has grown into a smart, kind, strong, funny and extraordinary film.
Inadequacy, like a disease, like a virus, appears in all characters in different concentrations. In someone there is so much that you want to urgently call a team of orderlies (heroine Julia Takshina in the image of the leader), in someone less, as in Christina (Ingred Olerinskaya), but the virus has already begun to produce antibodies, so it can be attributed to partially recovering. One bad thing is her retardation. You don't get used to it right away. In addition to these women in the film, there are two important inadequate characters: this is Kristina’s mother, who overprotects her, and a friend of the protagonist – a psychologist (Eugene Tsyganov), who helps to find the place of settlement and understand the past and Vitalik, and everything else. But Vitaly (Ilya Lyubimov) has to somehow put all the pieces of the puzzle in his head and look for solutions in difficult circumstances, because not everyone will withstand them.
Surprisingly, without special effects and a stellar cast, Karimov managed to create an amazing story. He does not pretend to be a genius, the result is very pleasant, because specific and unpredictable.
Drop the "Bitter" with the trains of modern times!
Roman Karimov is one of the few in Russia who tries to make a good movie. Inadequate People is the director’s debut. And this is due to both the charm of the film and its undeniable disadvantages.
I'll start with the latter. One of the main drawbacks of the film was the role of actors. And if Ilya Lyubimov has an excuse in the form of the character of his hero, then neither Eugene Tsyganov in the role of a psychotherapist, nor Julia Takshin in the role of a concerned boss, nor the younger Ingred Olerinskaya do not have such justification. Not to mention secondary heroes. It seems that they all play not so much characters as a cardboard image of a separate quality. And the therapist is completely devoid of any characteristics.
The same goes for operator. With good picture quality, beautiful scenery, a handheld camera, with non-stop shaking and close-ups, with sudden defocus seems to be a relic of poor education Ilya Ovseneva
However, with all the cons, this is an unexpectedly capacious and (for rare flaws) accurate movie. Without much intricacy, without much pathos, the director tells a simple story about people. Their characters create chemistry among themselves. You believe in the strained relationship between mother and daughter, you believe in love between lost heroes in this life. And in the end, you believe the story itself.
And a separate line I mention scenario. Well-designed dialogues make you listen, and unexpected sharp sharp points make you laugh.
No, it's not the best conversational movie in the world. This is not the best conversational film in Russia. But yes, this is the movie that we clearly lack – a simple, sometimes touching comedy about ordinary people.

As a preface. The crisis of our cinema is easily comparable to the crisis in any other sphere: the decisions are made by the wrong people, and the public situation ties the very essence of activity hand and foot. It is not for me to judge how much political context should influence art. But I think the impact should be minimal, and the dialogue between creators and audiences is free of bias.
Discarding arguments about the ideal world, I will share with you an opinion about a very curious Russian cinema - "Inadequate People" by Roman Karimov. Low-budget cinema, from the then unknown director, conquers with its originality and sincerity. A story about ordinary people and their lives. And the most amazing thing is that it's a comedy. It's a funny comedy in its own way.
And what, besides the fact that you are not a native Muscovite, are your virtues, Vitalik?
Vitalik, the main character of the picture, decides to start life from scratch after sad events in his life. On the advice of his friend, part-time psychologist, he moves from Serpukhov to Moscow, gets a new job and tries to live. He begins to come across a variety of characters who try to convince us that Vitalik is not of this world, and his values are strange. Everything changes when he meets his neighbor, seventeen-year-old troubled teenager Christina.
The plot is quite banal, but the live characters make this story very close and understandable. No plastic and polished to the brilliance of dialogue, primitive, toilet humor and flirting with the viewer. There are many ironies and allusions to our daily lives.
Around the main characters are all caricatured characters: a psychologist who wrote a book on self-improvement, a typical single mother and relatives, an abnormal boss, a gentleman on a cool car and many others. It seems that their traits and qualities were deliberately exaggerated and elevated to the absolute, so that we can feel their contrast with Vitalik and Christina. The latter are actively exposed by inadequate people in the face of the public, because they behave differently.
Beating your head against a wall is much more fun when you know that a soul mate is hiding behind it.
The picture does not pretend to be a genius, it would not want that. Simplicity is what attracts the most. The film is made of funny and familiar situations. The plot moves calmly and slowly, gradually opening the main characters and making them closer. The relationship between Vitalik and Kristina closer to the finale leads us to think about what real sincerity and honesty with oneself is. And the uncomplicated finale made me wonder: "Is it worth being an adequate person in an inadequate society?"

... You need to take every moment, every chance. Through the mouth of the main character, we hear the truth: if there is at least some opportunity in life to change everything for the better, then we must use it.
The action of the picture unfolds in modern Moscow around a visiting man named Vitaly. He decides to completely change his life, starting with his place of residence and ending with his social circle. All these changes are not too enthusiastically perceived by the main character: at work the situation is tense, you have to constantly hide from the “hyperactive” boss, the house is boring and monotonous. The only positive aspect is communication with the cynical minor neighbor Christina, who, oddly enough, is similar in spirit to our hero – let’s say, a soul mate. What does that mean to be uncooperative?
Young director Roman Karimov made a very unusual film, and by “unusual” I mean at least “excellent”. The atmosphere and mood of the picture are quite twofold: on the one hand, we often hear sarcastic jokes from the main characters, and at the same time I often laughed and smiled, but on the other hand, from the main characters as if some kind of sadness and anguish emanated. Vitaly has experienced a great tragedy in his life. Such a test is not easy for him, and he simply cannot forget about it. In addition, it is difficult for him to control his anger and not break down on others. But despite this, life continues, and the main character tries to throw off this burden of misfortunes piled on him through various changes in life. It is not easy for him to change his attitude towards life, and it is as if it is written on his frowning face. Christina is one of the representatives of adolescents in transition. Relationships with mother and relatives are worse. The environment of the young girl does not completely suit her, all around one (quote) “morons”. To some extent, this is due to her communication problems. Despite the fact that the girl is smart beyond her years, her communication manners are quite sharp, in the sense that she does not hesitate to express to a person everything that she thinks about him in all colors. Both characters have a kind of detachment from the world. Perhaps it is this similarity that brings the main characters together.
But why are “inadequate people”? In principle, it is logical to assume that the oddities of the main characters suggest that they are somehow inadequate. But let’s not forget the other heroes of the film. Let's remember at least the boss Vitaly. In my opinion, her behavior is much more inadequate than that of Christina. It is enough to recall just a couple of fragments from the film, for example: her behavior at the club, and systematic antics at work. Remember the same psychologist, friend and countryman Vitaly: the scene shown at the end of the films, plunged me into a kind of shock, after which I laughed for a long time. Friends of Christina and the guy Arthur, who in a peculiar way seeks sympathy from the girl, are extremely strange personalities whose actions make them question their normality. To some extent, each character is “inadequate” in its own way. The same can be found in real life – people are so different that some actions seem normal to some, while others are completely absurd and at least strange. Therefore, everyone is inadequate to some extent. From this we can conclude that in modern society quite a lot of strange people who commit incomprehensible actions. Thus, the number of “inadequate” exaggerates the number of “normal” people. One can assume that “inadequacy” is normal, and there is nothing to be surprised at. So why are “inadequate people” who are they? Now back to the main characters. The relationship between Vitaly and Christina can not be called friendly. In my opinion, there can be no friendship between a man and a woman at all: either it is simple politeness, a business partnership, or deep sympathy, or, in the end, love. I think the main characters are "inadequate" because they fell in love. For most of us, the relationship of an adult male and a schoolgirl is the height of strangeness. We are used to the fact that couples are usually the same age, or there is an age difference, but both are old enough for such a relationship. The persistent expression “love all ages are submissive” is not very relevant in our time. But on the other hand, why should people extinguish feelings that they feel for a person just because it is “inadequate” in our time? What if this is the only way to be happy? Now, the quote I started with is Christina's. In my opinion, she is right, and if we have the opportunity to be happy, we don’t have to turn our back on her, because if we don’t try, we’ll never know what happened to you. You cannot be one hundred percent sure of everything.
So let us not miss opportunities, we are the blacksmiths of our happiness.
Thirty-year-old Vitaly, on the advice of his psychologist, moves to Moscow to cope with fits of rage. But his life is interfered by a neighbor – a troubled seventeen-year-old schoolgirl named Christina, who shows interest in him.
Roman Karimov wanted to make an alternative melodrama about inadequate people looking for each other in a big gray city. But...
As a result, it turned out to be a story about average people living on the cramped outskirts of an uncertain town. Every character is negative, sometimes just disgusting. What's wrong? Quite adequate average poorly educated resident of the metropolis.
Script Twenty-six-year-old debutant Karimov wrote himself. The “badish” characters have flat images. Empathy is possible, but with great effort. It is not clear where the thirty-year-old man got sympathy for the rude, unbred seventeen-year-old Christine. She sends her mother, her English teacher, her boyfriend to the club (she leaves her room anyway). Vitalica seems to be touching. The girl walks with half-covered eyes, gives out "intoxicated" phrases. Bad relationships with parents are presented as fact. A proper explanation of why this teenager is like this (and the other teenagers in the film and worse) is not received by the viewer. As a result, all young people are rude. Plus no background to explain her relationship with Vitalik. The love of a girl seems to be, but some kind of fake, sacrificeless. Not ready to fight for Vitalik, not ready to save him, not ready to pull him out of his own abyss. Such love is selfish, does not cause compassion. Although there is no need to fight for Vitalik - and he will study English with you, and drink tea, and spend on a date. And a psychologist for two, thank God, is also one.
Dialogues "from extreme to extreme". From the hollow arrogant seventeen-year-old statements, "I'm not someone, I'm the best," to the lofty talk of the universe, age and memories. In the latter, the echoes of the den are heard.
Vitalik is hard to believe. After a beloved girl, moving, sessions with a psychologist, a person should be completely immersed in himself. Be focused on your self (His anger attacks are not read at all). Very simply he falls under the spell of a brazen neighbor's boob (sorry). Not saved this character and play Ilya Lyubimov. Nothing to play. The character only has that outer layer. All on the surface.
About Olerinskaya game and not worth talking. It is said that she was drawn to the audition by an assistant director, who accidentally met Ingrid in the city. The girl was just going to enter the acting, which explains a lot.
With Gypsy the same situation as with Lyubimov. The character is so inexplicable that even the Gypsies looked ridiculous. Perhaps the point is that the role is still somewhat not his... Well, about the scene of sado-maso with a patient ... probably such humor.
Unbelievable actors with their far-fetched problems give birth to a dense haze of lies that covered Karimov’s full-length debut. It is unpleasant to watch, returning to the real world after watching, like a breath of fresh air.
It was tight there. It's all very well done.
