Jerry Zucker is an American producer, director, actor and screenwriter.
Jerry attended Shorewood High School. He kicked a career in show business with brother David in a show at the Kentucky Fried Theatre. In 1980, they shot the parody comedy “Aeroplane!”, telling about a former military pilot who was on board the aircraft, whose crew was unable to control the Airbus due to food poisoning.
In 1984, Jerry and his brother made a parody.
"Top secret!" , successfully continuing the genre of cabbage, causing laughter from the audience. Soon they in the company of Jim Abrahams shot the picture “Rightless People”, which was released in 1986. The film was filmed by Buena Vista, which in the eighties focused on the production of tearful and funny tales for adults. For this reason, in the movie “Rightless People” there is no parody, absurd illogical humor.
While Abrahams and David Zucker tried to beat the success that fell to the lot
"Airplane!" , which was shot in the style of eccentric comedy, Jerry, who was the youngest member of the team, was much more prescient and guessed the new Hollywood trends.
In 1990, the director shot the incredibly popular and box office film “Ghost”. The budget of this fantastic film was twenty-two million dollars, and the fees exceeded it ten times, and the attendance of the picture occupied the eighty-fifth position among all American films. In this tape were combined thriller, comedy and love story along with beautiful special effects and visual tricks.
Zucker’s next film was the adventure, historical film The First Knight, released in 1995. It turned out to be another retreat of the director from the eccentric parody. In 2001, Zuckerberg had to shoot the comedy “Rat Runs”, which was attended by Whoopi Goldberg.
