Bernard Cross. Bernard Cross was born in Paddington, the working-class quarter of London, on 16 December 1947. He was only eight years old when his father died. Ben graduated from Catholic school. By the way, it was there that his stage debut took place - in the Christmas production he played Christ.
At the age of 15, Ben left school to wash windows. Then he became a stage worker, here he tried many theaters, including Wimbledon. He even worked as a carpenter at the National Opera House in Wales.
Eventually, he got tired of being backstage when he had every opportunity to be in front of the ramp. Ben went to audition for the Royal Academy of Drama. Much to his surprise, he did.
After graduating from the Academy, Ben worked for a while in provincial repertory theaters, then went on a tour of Hong Kong, Italy, Germany and, incidentally, Russia with the Prospect Theatre Company.
In 1974, Ben discovered television, and in 1977 - in the film "A Bridge Too Far" - cinema. Since then, he has not missed an opportunity to showcase his remarkable abilities on the screen.
Ben Cross now prefers to live in Los Angeles. After a not too successful marriage with former model Penelova, Butler limits his personal life to romantic hobbies, which he prefers to keep secret, believing that his personal life is his personal life. He has two children, a daughter and a son.
Despite the obvious fascination with the roles of “bad guys”, Ben is considered a rarely modest and charming person with a huge sense of humor. Usually not shy about speaking to their colleagues, movie stars have not been able to find a single bad word for him.
Ben Cross continues to choose films, plays and TV shows and says he has only one ambition: to stay on stage for as long as possible. We wish him success.
