James was born on May 20, 1908, his homeland is Indiana (Pennsylvania, USA). The James family owned a small hardware store, which still exists; in this store to this day is the Oscar, which James received in 1985 "for his contribution to the cinema."
James Stewart did not learn acting, believing that the practice would compensate him for any studies in theory. However, he is a chartered architect, this specialty actor received at Princeton University.
He made his Broadway debut in 1932 after graduating from university. And cinema fame came to James after the release of the screens
Born to Dance which was removed in 1936. After that, he took part in the filming of the films “The Living Lady”, “You Can’t Take It With You”, “Mr. Smith Goes to Washington”, “Destri is Back in the Saddle” and “Philadelphia Story”.
