Ksenia Kachalina’s career (born May 5, 1971) began immediately after school – she entered the Saratov Sobinov Conservatory, but studied there for only two years. Then, like many other young talents, the girl went to conquer Moscow. She managed to enter VGIK, in the workshop of S. Solovyov and V. Rubinchik.
Already in the years of study, Ksenia starred in several films at once. The first of them was the picture “Dislike” (directed by Valery Rubinchik), and the work demanded from the actress piquant candor – she starred in erotic scenes. A year later, Kachalina played a prostitute in the historical and social drama Darkness, her heroine met with a revolutionary, and there were even more candid scenes.
Slightly moving away from the created images of “free” ladies, Ksenia played the main roles in the films “Letters in a Past Life”, the melodrama “Wild Love” and “Three Sisters” based on Chekhov’s play. By the end of VGIK, it was believed that Kachalin's "combat baptism" had already passed.
One of the most famous films with the participation of Ksenia Kachalina -
"Romanovs - Crown Family" . The idea of this picture appeared at the director Gleb Panfilov in the early nineties: he wanted to tell about the last years of the Russian house of Romanov, but the picture took place only in 2001. Due to the portrait resemblance, Ksenia Kachalina played Grand Duchess Tatiana Nikolaevna, the role of Alexander Kerensky was played by the former husband of the actress - Mikhail Efremov.
The marriage of Ksenia Kachalina and Mikhail Efremov was short-lived, but the couple had a daughter who bound them forever. When it turned out that their favorite grandmothers were Anna and Maria, Mikhail and Xenia gave their girl a double name. The godmother of Anna-Maria was the famous actress and director Renata Litvinova, and I must say, with such parents Anne-Maria has something to inherit. /
