Nikolai Isaakovich Pastukhov was born in the city of Surazh of the Bryansk region in 1923. He began to work before the war – in the Theater of the Red Army, where he met the great director A.D. Popov, and later studied at the Theater School named after M.S. Shchepkin, but during the Great Patriotic War he volunteered to the front and did not finish the school. Nikolai Isaakovich Pastukhov was born in the city of Surazh of the Bryansk region in 1923. He began to work before the war – in the Theater of the Red Army, where he met the great director A.D. Popov, and later studied at the Theater School named after M.S. Shchepkin, but during the Great Patriotic War he volunteered to the front and did not finish the school.
After the Victory, thanks to A.D. Popov, Nikolai Pastukhov was transferred to service at the Red Army Theatre, but played in the second composition of the troupe. Basically, these were roles in performances dedicated to the war, where Pastukhov played the roles of soldiers, officers, cadets.
In 1950, Nikolai Pastukhov married, but the housing issue was quite acute before the newlyweds, and they decide to go to Tambov. Three years later, they return to Moscow, and very soon Pastukhov gets the main role in the theater - Alexei Meresyev in the play "The Tale of a Real Man" of the book of the same name by Boris Polevy. Shepherds are filmed a lot, he is given the roles of the main characters, but soon he returns to his native theater and again begins a series of secondary roles. In 1969, in the play of the same name Chekhov “Uncle Vanya” he was noticed.

In recent years, People's Artist of the RSFSR Nikolai Pastukhov continues to play on the stage of the Central Academic Theater of the Russian Army. His performances “Much Ado About Nothing”, “At the Bottom”, “Late Love” every time gather full halls. In 2005, Nikolai Pastukhov was awarded the Golden Mask Award in the nomination For Honor and Dignity. /
