Actress and model Catherine Kmit was born on August 14, 1969 in the creative family of Inna Kmit and Boris Bystrov. She continued the acting dynasty, which began with her grandfather Leonid Kmit, known to the cinema for the role of Pettens from the film Chapaev.
Catherine made her debut as a child. At the age of 13, she played a role in children’s
film "4:0 in favor of Tanechka" (1982). In 1988, already having the experience of filming, she entered the State School of Pop and Circus Art at the pop department. During her studies, Catherine Kmit worked in the theater “At the Nikitsky Gate”. However, she soon left there, referring to the fact that the actresses got on the stage only through the bed of director Mark Rozovsky. It was then that she began her career as a model.
Catherine Kmit has always stood out for her stunning appearance, thanks to which she repeatedly participated in beauty contests. During her years, she took part in competitions for the titles of “Miss Russian America”, “Morning Star” and “Miss Moscow”.
The active period of filming in films was the early 1990s. It was then that Catherine Kmit appeared in the political detective “Date House”, the action movie “Rat Corner”, the mystical film “Gongofer”, etc. The actress did not feel embarrassed, showing her body in front of the camera, and more than once starred in erotic scenes. She mostly came across the roles of prostitutes, drug addicts and witches, which did not confuse the actress. Once specially for her in one of the films created the role of a witch who lives in a garbage can without any clothes. In the mid-1990s, Catherine Kmit began to appear less often. She later appeared in the TV series “Turkish March” and “Transit for the Devil”.
After successful work in the cinema, Catherine took a break: she married a musician who works with Lyubov Uspenskaya, and now from time to time appears in commercials. As the actress herself says, she dreams of returning to the movies, only now they shoot only detectives and erotics, and she would like to play a role in comedy. /
