People's Artist of Russia Anatoly Kuznetsov (31.12.1930, Moscow - 07.03.2014, Moscow) in his youth was engaged in music and, quite possibly, would become a singer. He studied at the vocal department of CMS, and then at the school named after Ippolitov-Ivanov. Stage skills at the school was taught by Nina Osipovna Smirnova, she drew attention to the fact that her student is more suitable for dramatic art than musical. On her advice, Kuznetsov submitted documents to the theater university, which he graduated in 1955.
His first important role in the movie Anatoly Borisovich considers Lenka Nezvanny (picture “Wait for letters”), and the legendary role of Kuznetsov, for all time, was the Red Army soldier Sukhov from the “White Sun of the Desert”. A lot of actors were required for this role, Anatoly Kuznetsov and Georgy Yumatov remained at the final casting, and the director, Vladimir Motyl, chose George. Now it is believed that with Yumatov it would have been a wonderful Western, but after a few seasons it would have ceased to be remembered. Probably, forces from above intervened: Yumatov for personal reasons did not appear on the first day of filming, it was impossible to stand idle, and Motyl called Kuznetsov. Thus came the mocking and fearless Sukhov, a Russian character who will never be forgotten.
After
"White Sun of the Desert" Kuznetsov played many more roles, mainly military people (General Zakharov in the film epic Liberation, Vesnin in Hot Snow). Although these works were not bland, only one image created by Anatoly Borisovich came close to Sukhov - soldier Ales Kazanok in the Soviet-Bulgarian film Brother. For this role, Kuznetsov was awarded the Alexander Dovzhenko Silver Medal.
One of the last works of Alexander Borisovich in the cinema is the film "Paradise Apple", where he not only plays one of the roles, but also is the producer of the picture. /
