Urusevsky Sergey Pavlovich (23.12.1908 – 12.11.1974), director, screenwriter, operator. He graduated from the Leningrad Art and Industrial College and the Institute of Fine Arts in Moscow (1935). Outstanding cameraman. He directed films by M. Donskoy (“Villager Teacher”, “Alitet Goes to the Mountains”), V. Pudovkin (“The Return of Vasily Bortnikov”), Y. Raizman (“Golden Star Cavalier”, “Life Lesson”), G. Chukhrai (“Forty-first”), M. Kalatozov (“Cranes Are Flying”, “Unsent Letter”, “I Am Cuba”), etc.
Artist of the RSFSR (1951). Laureate of the State Prizes of the USSR (1948, 1952).
