In 1962, she joined the Royal Shakespeare Society, played on the stages of London and Broadway and even won the main British theater award named after Lawrence Olivier (1982), as well as the main American theater award “Tony”. Margaret Tijac became widely known when she played a major role in the television series The Forsyte Saga (1966). It is well known to viewers of the USSR as the first British-made series bought. Therefore, Margaret Tizhak had a lot of fans in the Soviet Union who loved her Winfred.
She then starred in two Stanley Kubrick films, 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968) and Clockwork Orange (1971). In 2005, Margaret Tijac starred in Woody Allen’s film Match Point.
