Jonathan Brandis was born on April 13, 1976 in Danbury. Brandis’ career began at the age of six. He starred in several commercials, after which he was invited to play the role of little Kevin Riley Buchanan in the television series Life One.
At the age of nine, the Brandis family moves to Los Angeles, where the boy continues to star in episodes of the TV films “Full House”, “Who’s the Boss?”, “Kate and Ellie”, “L.A. Law”.
In 1990, Brandis played the lead role of Bastian Bucks in Infinite Story

In 1990, Brandis played the lead role of Bastian Bucks in Infinite Story 2. And a few years later, the audience saw the young actor in the film adaptation of the work of Stephen King “It”.
In 1992, the film “Sidestrokes” and the film “Godbugs” were released, where Jonathan worked with such stars as Chuck Norris and Rodney Dangerfield.
Jonathan Brandis quickly became an idol of a teenage audience. Each film brought him more and more popularity. Steven Spielberg's science fiction series "Underwater Odyssey", films
"Underwater warrior" "Pursuit with the Devil", "First Love" finally strengthened his fame.
Brandis was not limited to acting. He tried himself as a writer and director.
2003 ended Brandis' life. Being in a state of deep depression, he hanged himself in his apartment. His friend found Brandis still alive, but failed to save the actor. Shortly before that, Jonathan managed to shoot a short film “The Slainesville Boys”.
