French director and screenwriter Alexandre Aja was born on August 7, 1978 in Paris. His father, Alexandre Arcadia, was a native of Algeria, a famous film director, and his mother, Marie-Joe João, worked as a film critic. As a child, Alexander starred in several films of his father, and since then the dream to follow in the footsteps of his parent has not left him.

In 1999, the screen version of Julio Cortazar’s story “Graffiti” was released – the picture “Furies”.
In 2003, the film Bloody Harvest was presented to the audience. The horror film told a chilling story about two best friends who had to endure the biggest nightmare imaginable in one night.
After this picture, Wes Craven suggested Alexander Azha to make a remake of the film “The Hills Have Eyes”. This film was released in 2006.
Two years later, Azha shot another horror film called Mirror. In 2007, another horror movie was released.
