Said Tagmaoui was born on July 19, 1973 in Villepent (France). A boxing athlete whose family had Moroccan roots, he began his acting career with filming in video clips. He then appeared in short and television films. For the role of Said in the French film “La Haine”, the actor was awarded the national award “Cesar” in 1996. Said Tagmaoui has also starred in Italy, Spain, Germany and Morocco; one of his most recent works is David Russell's U.S.-directed film Three Kings.
