Close Encounters of the First Kind (BK-1) are close observations of luminous objects (about one hundred and sixty meters or less), and the light is often very bright and causes luminescence of the earth beneath them. Describing the shape of objects, it is usually defined as oval, sometimes with a dome at the top, and the lights are often described as rotating, usually counterclockwise. Objects often hover low above the ground, silently or with a low hum, sometimes move above the ground itself, passing considerable distances, and usually hide with extraordinary speed, completely silent and, as a rule, vertically up. There are quite a few indications of such "close contacts" observed simultaneously by several witnesses; all these indications are similar, as if they were indeed the observation of the same object (or identical objects) in all well-documented cases. As a rule, all such contacts occur at night at widely scattered points, and each case has few witnesses (in the cases studied by Dr. Hynek, an average of three or four). close

XX century Never before has the world changed so much, never seen so devastating wars, under the cover of which even more terrible crimes were committed. A new word appears in the dictionary – “Genocide”. The term was coined in 1944 by Polish lawyer Rafael Lemkin. The real basis for this definition was the extermination of the Armenian population in the Ottoman Empire. From 1877 to 1923, according to various estimates, from 1 to 1.5 million Armenians became victims of genocide. What's next? No conclusions have been drawn from this... And where did all this lead? close

Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern is a travel and cuisine television show hosted by Andrew Zimmern on the Travel Channel. The first season debuted on Monday, February 26, 2007 at 9pm ET/PT.
Bizarre Foods focuses on regional cuisine from around the world which is typically perceived by Americans as being disgusting, exotic, or bizarre. In each episode, Zimmern focuses on the cuisine of a particular country or region. He typically shows how the food is procured, where it is served, and, usually without hesitation, eats it.
Originally a one-hour documentary titled Bizarre Foods of Asia, repeated showings on the Travel Channel drew consistent, considerable audiences. In late 2006, it was decided to turn the documentary into a weekly, one-hour show with the same premise and with Andrew Zimmern as the host. The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency was a reality television series that debuted on Oxygen on June 6, 2006. The show completed four seasons, through which it followed the self-proclaimed world's first supermodel Janice Dickinson as she took on the role of a modeling agent to her own eponymous agency, also called The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency, which opened for business in November 2005.
The first season follows her opening of the agency, including the difficulty in finding models of Janice's vision, getting them proficient in front of the camera, obtaining financial backing and establishing a reputation for her agency. Subsequent seasons followed the development of the agency and a constantly changing cast of models. A number of the male models are openly gay, and a number of the agency's clients are gay-oriented businesses. This resulted in many of the episodes being gay-themed.
Oxygen aired a one-hour holiday special to bridge a gap between the first and second seasons, entitled Christmas with the Dickinsons.
In the UK, there was to be a British version of the show with supermodel Paula Hamilton as the agency head. Like the American version, the show was to be titled after the lead. It was to be shown on the cable channel Living, which is also the home of the Top Model franchise in UK. After much planning, the show was canceled due to a lack of interest in the American version. close
