With the help of the attending hands, the mother expels the placenta. The infant, a baby girl, nurses. We return from time to time to the bath scene. By the end, dad's excited; mother and daughter rest. close

As a visual narrative it is reminiscent of a pile of postcards from a journey, which indeed is what the film is. “Like the right and left hand Your soul is close to my soul We are sealed shut, blissfully and warmly, Like the right and left wing…” The life and art of Pavel Kogan and Lyudmila Stanukinas, two famous Leningrad documentary filmmakers, can best be expressed by the Tsvetaeva stanza cited above. They are the main characters of this film, which their student Viktor Kossakovsky shot during Pavel Kogan’s final months. For Lyudmila Stanukinas, Lyalya, as those close to her called her, her husband was her only reason for existence. On June 21, Victor Tsoi would have turned 50 years old. But in the memory and hearts of his fans, he will forever remain a 28-year-old idol. Victor Tsoi lived in an era of change, when one reality was replaced by another. He was one of the creators of the new world. His life is a set of paradoxes. A half-blooded boy who grew up in Leningrad, a rocker whose name rattled all over the Union, a musician who became a hero of the era - he sang, and millions sang along with him. When the news reported about a car accident near Riga on August 15, 1990, many were surprised to learn that Viktor Tsoi was only 28 years old! And he managed to live such a big life in such a small period of time. “Tsoi is a figure like an angel,” said Boris Grebenshchikov. Perhaps that’s why his fans say “Tsoi is alive” because angels don’t die. Viewers will see unique archival video materials, which capture rehearsals, concerts, tours and interviews of Viktor Tsoi to various TV channels. We will visit the places where the talent of the musician was born, talk with his colleagues, friends and like-minded people. close
