The documentary film “Titian” is a small excursion into the life of the famous artist, in the creation of which Olga Zhukova took part. The High Renaissance is the time of Titian, a time of beauty, harmony and humanism. Already the first works of the master caused absolute delight of his contemporaries. Incredibly bright, harmonious and sometimes pagan, his paintings are a unique hymn to love and beauty of the body, a reflection of the human soul, his cloudless happiness and joy of earthly existence. What drove genius to create such masterpieces? Is his life full of wisdom or the influence of the ghostly cold Venice? The film, which brings together Titian’s paintings, may answer these questions. close

A feature-length documentary, Kvadrat explores the realities of techno DJing, using the example of Andrey PUSHKAREV, a Russian DJ recognized worldwide. Filmed as a hybrid between a road-movie and a music video, the film not only illustrates the festive atmosphere of techno night clubs, but also reveals the lesser known side of this profession: weeks of track selection, lengthy travel, difficult schedule. The film suggests to reconsider the stereotype of a popular musician, to find out whether the artist is happy, to ponder what's most important to him and his audience? Shot in Switzerland, France, Hungary, Romania and Russia, the film omits the typical documentary elements: no interviews, no explanatory voice-over, no facts, no figures. The visuals and the techno music replace them, leaving the detailed interpretation to the viewer. close

Ivana Kozhedub – three times Hero of the Soviet Union, pilot-as of the Great Patriotic War. At the age of 23, he becomes one of the most effective fighter pilots, sometimes shooting down 2-3 German planes a day. What is the secret of this young guy, the son of the poorest peasants of the Ukrainian village Obrahievka, who, along with Pokryshkin and Zhukov, became one of the 3 three times Heroes of the USSR? On his account by the end of the war was already 62 enemy aircraft — so many could not boast of no one else not only in Soviet aviation, but in the entire aviation of the allies. Ivan Kozhedub proved his superiority over American fighter pilots once again in the 50s, during the Korean War. Officially, it is still accepted that Ivan Nikitovich was sent there as commander of the 324th Fighter Aviation Division (64 corps), but he did not make combat sorties. However, having studied the testimony of his relatives and fellow soldiers who take part in the film, requesting documents from the Central Archives of the Ministry of Defense, our film crew makes a sensational conclusion - Ivan Kozhedub, contrary to Moscow's orders, not only personally fought in Korea with yesterday's American allies, but was once shot down in the sky over Korea. Many materials of the film - diaries and personal letters of Ivan Kozhedub from the family archives, a personal file, a credit card, award sheets and unique photo documents from the Central Archives of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, confirming Kozhedub's participation in the Korean War, will be shown to the viewer for the first time. close
