A collage of two-dimensional images of vegetation, each appearing only for a moment, sometimes as a single image, more often with other bits of stem, leaf, bud, or petal. Often we see only the outline of objects against a black background. Black and green are occasionally joined by fragments of orange or of white and blue. The objects in the frame don't move but they are quickly replaced by another collage, giving the feel of rapid motion. Each collage is crisp, its lines etched against the background of black and later of white. Whitman anyone, or Hieronymus Bosch? Although there is no soundtrack, the rapidity of changing images and colors suggests a riot. close

Jörg Buttgereit himself plays a TV horror show presenter, introducing the audience to a variety of "Horror classics”. These are of course all short Super 8 films and he shows here his versatility as a filmmaker. The short pieces are all made in 1984 and range from a spoof on the Mummy to a Frankenstein parody, to an amazingly well-crafted stop-motion animated Godzilla-like monster pic called GAZORRA (starring Daktari Lorenz from NEKROMANTIK) to a down and dirty girl-fights-off-violent-rapist segment named CANNIBAL GIRL. Hilarious horror comedy! close

Cockerel and Dog
The main character, the dog Kutya, is very responsible. He is ready to play with friends, but also does not forget about household duties. When the forest was covered with the first snow, Kutya took up work. I collected the equipment and began to clear the paths of snow. But the rooster didn't want to work. Instead of putting things in order with a friend, he decided to taste the snow. The dog tried to stop the rooster. He reminded him that the cold snow can cause the temperature to rise and the throat to become thicker. But the self-confident Petya did not listen to reasonable arguments. Trouble wasn't long in coming. By evening, the rooster had fallen down with a severe cold. But even then, he doesn’t want to obey. First refuses to measure the temperature, then wrap his throat. Kuta finally manages to reason with Petya. But the dog has no medicine at home and needs to go to the pharmacy to cure the rooster.
Danger
A cold is not all that bad that Petya expects. Near the house on the edge, in which he is sick, a fox lurked. She's just waiting for Kutya to go to the pharmacy to steal a sick rooster. The problem is that because of a sore throat, Petya cannot crow and thus call for help. At first, the dog tries to teach the rooster to bark, but it fails. What do we do? One hope for the little viewers watching the cartoon. They should call for help if a fox appears.
And as soon as Kutya goes to the pharmacy, the fox sneaks to the house and tries to steal Petya. Can the rooster stop the fox? Will he be able to stay safe until the dog arrives? Will he dodge the sharp teeth of a hungry fox? And most importantly, will the kids be able to call for help? You will learn about all this by watching the cartoon “Be healthy”. close

A young, mentally ill man, a visual artist in crisis Victor Marse (Lars von Trier) meets two nurses (Eliza and her girlfriend) during his stay in a sanatorium. These nurses are obvious lesbians. Victor lives with Eliza and her son. He imagines another woman when he is roaming at a coast. He pretends committing a suicide but Eliza does not react to it. Every moment, he stays in front of a blank canvas and thinks. Meanwhile he dresses into Nazi clothes or into women dresses, then he leaves to go to the cinema, and abuses and probably kills a small girl. His masochistic affair with Eliza lasts; he is close to shooting her with a gun but instead she takes out a whip. Victor goes along the streets then he lies naked in front of the canvas on which he has left his bloody fingerprints. After this he drives a funeral car to his work - he is employed in a garden where orchids are grown. Eliza is now the past and in the end, Victor might be dead as someone drives a cross into the ground. close

Hardware Wars (1978) is a short film parody of the classic science fiction film Star Wars. The thirteen-minute film, which premiered in theatres only seven months after Star Wars, consisted of little more than inside jokes and visual puns that heavily depended upon audience familiarity with the original. The theme song is Richard Wagner's famous "Ride of the Valkyries". The tagline was "You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll kiss three bucks goodbye." close
