Exposure time – in photography it is nothing more than the time that an object lives in a frame. And based on this, any photo is not only a two-dimensional graphic composition. It also has a third, temporal dimension, a temporal depth. She is the bearer, the keeper of time. Which means memory. Whose memory? Faces, objects, landscapes captured in the picture? The photographer's own memory?
Making the photo material for the film “The life time of the object in the frame” (the Hour of life of the object in the frame), its authors inevitably found themselves in a maze of “aliens” and their memories, “alien” and their time. And in search of a way out of this maze, they themselves became part of it and the material for their own film. close

Jorge de Sena was forced to leave his country. First he moved to Brazil, and later to the USA. He never returned to Portugal. During his 20-year-long exile, he kept an epistolary correspondence with Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen. In 1685, Louis XIV banned Protestantism, abolishing the Edict of Nantes. Protestants were forced to change their faith, their churches destroyed, and their pastors expelled. The rebellious were punished with servitude and confiscation of property. Thousands of Huguenot families, refusing to renounce their faith, left France. But there were those who stayed and fought. In southern France, despite the repression, the Protestant Highlander peasants renounced the “papal truth.” In 17 years, the situation has escalated. The king refused to make concessions. Victims to back down. Until the day they were tired of being victims, they destroyed their executioners. The center of the uprising (1702-1705) was the Sevenna mountain range on the right bank of the Rhône, in the province of Languedoc. On July 24, 1702, Esprey Seguier, Abraham Masel, Gideon Laporte and their followers killed the Catholic Archbishop François du Chel de Langlan, killed the inhabitants of the castle, burned 2 churches, destroying their priests. The camizars began to smash the Catholic churches, the houses of the clergy, the merchants and the fiscals, took away the collected taxes and the church tithes. It was not until the spring of 1705 that the government made concessions on taxation. Despite the defeat of the uprising, individual outbreaks of war continued until 1715. The remainder were called kamizars (shirts) from the Languedoc word camiso, meaning "peasant shirt," as they wore white shirts over armor during the fighting at night. . . close
