Compared to the completely childish cartoons about this team, the film is higher, but not so much. Childishness can be seen in everything about science. Dr. Reid sprinkles queues of supposedly scientific words into the viewer, creating the illusion of the presence of something clever, but anyone with a little intelligence knows that this is a set of completely random words that mean nothing.
In the image of the flight into space, the authors clearly saved. They didn’t bother to paint the rocket, its launch, the view of the station outside. In space, the heroes were driven somehow in between, the film is absolutely not imbued with this plot part. The return was omitted as a matter of course.
The plot is built on the assumption that an accident in space elevates to the heights of fame and success of four scientists, and it also throws into the abyss of bankruptcy and contempt of the owner of this very expedition. Everyone at once hates him for the fact that he gave the world 4 beloved wackos. Do you understand anything? The sensation, fame, stocks fly up, and the owner of the expedition and the owner of 75% of the income from the experiment becomes bankrupt. Well, they could not think of how else to motivate Uncle Vitya and how to show his transformation into the same Duma.
One of the brightest scenes of the film is how the characters save people on the bridge from an accident that they themselves staged.
The only plus is that this movie is much better than the 2015 remake. At least this one looks fun and easy.
P.S. At the very end, the absolutely enchanting name of the Russian ship is “Toe Head”. American movies always do that, but it’s not because they don’t have the money for an interpreter, or because they can’t find at least one Russian in a random forum. This is done deliberately to humiliate the Scythian spectators at every opportunity.
